Here is a PSA about the characters explaining about Nickelodeon GUTS & an IRL player's journey to the Extreme Arena.
This is for those who are unfamiliar with the Nickelodeon TV Show that ran from 1992 to 1996 which is a sports favorite of many across its 3 classic incarnations, Original Aggro Crag, Mega Crag & Super Aggro Crag in Global Guts.
To honor the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games later this year.
This section is also outside the main IC for the guild.

Hello, I'm Dranor from the RP Guild, The Mermaid Princess and this Aedelyn, Drenden, Ariane & Nilima from the same guild. Ariane & Nilima, introduce yourselves to the Narrator. Dranor said as he introduces himself to the viewers.
Guild Owner: Hello and welcome, you're just in time. I've got a question... "Do You Have It?" This is the point where things at Nickelodeon Studios gets sporty. As they did their own children's version American Gladiators with an Olympics tone to it. With the success of Double Dare in Nickelodeon, other children's games followed such as Finders Keepers, Think Fast, Wild & Crazy Kids, Get The Picture and more. By 1992, 2 more shows at Nickelodeon Studios were taped and were launched. The shows were Nick Arcade, which I'll talk about later, and Nickelodeon GUTS.
What does GUTS mean? Eldin asked the Guild Owner.
Guild Owner: GUTS can equal a lot of things & its very different. It could be recovering fumbles, stopping a Free Kick or Penalty Kick, making a high mark possible on the wall and even going head to head to head on the Aggro Crag Winner Takes All. But GUTS means more than just that besides taking home the Gold Medal, it means giving it your best. With that, anyone can become an All-Star athlete. Because from 1992 to 1996, GUTS gave us the action of Fantasy Sports such as Guest Stars and their Pro Tips, All-Star Champions, their Aggro Crag Stars of their own & the World Championship, but now, GUTS is going to be reborn soon...

Guild Owner: GUTS is a Sports Children Game on Nickelodeon from 1992 to 1996, where 3 players, Blue, Red and Purple, compete for the highest score across 4 Events followed by a mountain event. The player with the most points after all of the events not only wins the Gold Medal but also gets to take home the Crag Trophy.
Guild Owner: The 4 Events are shuffled for each show. These Events range from Track, Field, Areal, Poolside and more. The Show from 1992 to 1996 was hosted by Mike O'Malley as Commentator while Moria Quirk was the Referee for each event.
= The Extreme Arena Guild Owner: To store all these events, you would need a Sports Stadium Sound Stage. That's where the Extreme Arena comes in as all 3 of them use the same layout... 5 Miles of Lumber Wood 400 Gallons of Paint 25,000 Feet of Electric Cables and 330,000 Watts of Light. Which takes a total of 150 People & 6 Weeks to build it inside one of the Largest Sound Stages at the Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando. The GUTS Pool holds 21,000 Gallons of Water 18,000 Feet of elastic cable is used for each player which is 54,000 Feet total. 1,200 People would come to watch every show and the Crag Mountains stand 20 to 30 Feet Tall.
= Events Total Guild Owner: GUTS has several Events, almost too many to tell you about. So I'll go over some of them.
*Round 1 Examples* = Field Events: Basic Training Gameplay Guild Owner: First is Basic Training. Which has 5 to 7 Segments. Which would be a climb up the wall or cargo net, next being a swim across or balancing rope walk to the platform, a zip line to the firepole, leading to the "Elastic Jungle" which is a tangled elastic bands which the players need to navigate through or Tire Crawl, leading to climbing up the final platform which leads to either a freefall into an air bag or slide into the pool for a splashdown. All Players are timed from Starting Point to either Freefall or Splashdown as they must complete each segment before advancing to the next.
= Meet the Players Guild Owner: After an event, we don't know who is who. So that's where the Segment "Spill Your GUTS" comes into play. Mike or Mo would read off about the player and later the players would introduce themselves. The Blue Player would be after the First Event, the Red Player would be after the First Half and the Purple Player would be before the 4th Event.
*Round 2 Examples* = Track Events: Tornado Run Guild Owner: Next is Tornado Run. The Goal of this Event is to reach the finish line as the players must go through or over each segment before advancing to the next segment. All 3 Players would go at the same time but in 1995, it was switched to a Time Attack Run.
= Halftime Guild Owner: After 2 Events during the Mega Crag Seasons, we would see a Halftime Show which features Highlights from First 2 Events to see what happened before continuing in a John Madden Style, so to speak.
*Round 3 Examples* = Pool Events: White Water Guild Owner: Next is the Pool Events such as White Water. Where water jets or wave balls are used to make the Pool Events harder. White Water is one of those events to use a water jets. Players would use a paddle and a raft to cross from one side of the pool to the other going around two buoys doing so as they must tag the spotter to use the paddle to touch the side of the pool before heading back and also to end the race. Players who do not go around the buoys result in a +5 Second Penalty. Another version of this called Wave Runner was also introduced that featured pylons & a wave ball.
*Round 4 Examples* = Aerial Events: Triple Jump Guild Owner: Next is the Aerial Events such as Triple Jump which is a similar version to the Olympic Triple Jump where a player must make the furthest jump in 2 to 3 attempts. However, the catch is a player MUST clear all segments by landing on all platforms, clearing the obstacles, jump over the hurdle without knocking the hurdle bar down and must land in the Sand Pit with BOTH feet otherwise, that player's attempt will NOT Count.
= Mountain Events: Crag Mountain Guild Owner: Finally, we have the Final Event being the Crag Mountains. There's 3 Crag Mountains sorted by ascending difficulty. As on the far end of the Extreme Arena was a Massive Mountain that stands 20 to 30 Feet Tall... The Aggro Crag. In the actual show, the Aggro Crag & Mega Crag stands around 28 Feet Tall. The centerpiece of GUTS. Where a player who was in Second or Third Place could turn things around by finishing in First.
= Mountain Events: Crag Rules Guild Owner: The Rules of the Crag Mountains are straightforward enough as each player has his or her side of an identical mountain path to climb and may NOT under any circumstances cross into another player's path. During the climb, a player must light up each of the Alarm Lights or Activator Targets on his or her side of the Mountain Path. The First Player who lights up ALL of the Alarm Lights which includes the Final Light at the Summit, wins the event.
= Mountain Events: Easy Difficulty/Aggro Crag Guild Owner: The 3 Difficulty Versions of the Crag Mountains with the first being the Aggro Crag which is the Easiest of the 3, standing at 20 to 22 Feet Tall, 6 to 7 Targets to Light up. But when a player is halfway up, a rock slide would be triggered along with the water and smoke.
= Mountain Events: Normal Difficulty/Mega Crag Guild Owner: The Second Difficulty Version is the Mega Crag which has a Silver Motif, being 28 to 30 Feet Tall which has steam and vapor which has a new feature which was a 5 to 6 Feet Vertical Climb which coined the phrase "the Sounds and Fury of a dormant volcano ready to blow..." Along with the Lighting effects, this Crag stands around as a Normal Difficulty.
= Mountain Events: Hard Difficulty/Super Aggro Crag Guild Owner: The Third Difficulty Version, which is the Hardest of the 3 is the Super Aggro Crag during Global GUTS in 1995 to 1996 that stands 30 feet tall which combines both the features of the Aggro and Mega Crag along with other features with Boulder Canyon from the Start along with a snowfall at the peek but with 8 Targets to light up. Personally, I find the Aggro Crag as a favorite since that's the Easiest of the three as mentioned before. But no matter which Crag Mountain is chosen, the players must be careful as any violations of the Rules for the Crag Mountain Events will result in an Automatic 3rd Place Finish.
Dranor whispered to Ariane. Maybe we can ask the narrator what the awards are like at the end of a so-called GUTS show?
All the girls felt so incredible confused by all that info.

= Scoring & Awards Guild Owner: After each event, a replay segment of that event is shown while we see the Leaderboards for each event. The 4 Events have a Basic Scoring System... 300 Points for First 200 Points for Second and 100 Points for Third. The Crag Mountain has a Scoring System with Greater Value as anyone in Second or Third can turn things around... 725 Points for First 550 Points for Second and 375 Points for Third. When all of the Events are completed, then comes the Award Ceremony to close out GUTS or Global GUTS...
Guild Owner: Bronze Medal for 3rd Place...
Guild Owner: Silver Medal for 2nd Place...
Guild Owner: and Gold Medal for 1st Place. 1st Place Winners also get the GUTS Trophy being a "Glowing Piece of their Radical Rock".
= Global Guts Awards Guild Owner: During the award Ceremony on Global Guts, the players would run a Victory Lap around the Track with Medal Ceremony having the National Anthem of their country playing.
= GUTS Extras Guild Owner: During Guts Original Run, both Aggro & Mega Crag Difficulties from 1992 to 1995, Guts had some Special Sports Guest Stars to offer Pro Tips. From 1995 to 1996, GUTS went International with their World Championship as an Olympics Style Incarnation. So that's 3 Incarnations of GUTS.
= GUTS Last Incarnation Guild Owner: In 2008, GUTS had a 4th Incarnation. The last show to be filmed at the Universal Studios in Orlando called "My Family's Got GUTS" as a Tournament Format Show. Ben Lyons was the Commentator while Asha Kuerten was the Referee. I do not know much about this 4th Incarnation nor did I see it on Nickelodeon. The Tournament Style of My Family's Got GUTS has 2 teams of 4 and 2 Events before the Crag Mountains. The Tournament Bracket featured 6 Preliminary Shows, 3 Semi-Final Shows and 1 Finals being called the "Aggro Bowl". The Difference in the Aggro Crag in that 4th Incarnation is that it was 22 Feet Tall. As the Scoring was different too, in which High Scores lead to a Time Advantage for one Team getting a Head Start while the other Team waits for the starting signal from the Judges. The winning team gets the Crag Trophy as in the last 3 incarnations but its only a Fragment as 3 Segments can be combined to form a Miniature Scale of the Aggro Crag. My Family's Got GUTS had 2 Tournament Seasons which ended GUTS' time on the air in 2009. So Nickelodeon GUTS lasted from 1992 to 2009 overall.
= Global GUTS Teams Guild Owner: Before Global Guts' Launch, Nickelodeon put together a Team to represent the United States around the country. But everyone around the world put together teams to represent their country. Over 10,000 People tried out in England, Spain, Mexico, Germany, just to name a few, a total of 96 Players came to the Extreme Arena during Global Guts along with International Hosts bringing the World Championship to over 250 Million People.
= RL Tryouts Guild Owner: Anyone growing up in the 1990s, being an Athlete is just the start but the Road to the Extreme Arena is challenging. In Real Life, you need to compete in Tryouts and conquer an Arena that tests an Athlete's skill. Anyone can be a Sports Champion as they do have it but have to prove it to the world or is another player going to take home a "Piece of their Radical Rock"?
= RL Players Process Part 1: Monday Arrival Guild Owner: First Global GUTS Players would arrive at Orlando. One Example would be Bem from USA, Chris from UK & Michal from the Middle East as they would go from Arrival to Game Day. From the airport, they would arrive at the Global GUTS Village where they stay, train and hang out. After checking in, they sign the Registration Card mounted on the wall, Pinpoint their home, pick up their ID Cards and Equipment.
Aedelyn whispered to Sirpa. Do you have any questions to ask the Narrator, Sirpa?
"Not that I can think of," Sirpa replied, too confused to know what to even ask about.

= RL Players Process Part 2: Tuesday On Location Guild Owner: The second day has the RL Players go On Location to Spill Their GUTS so they can be shown on Game Day. Each one of these Player Interviews are interesting in its own way. With a Huge Party at the end of the day.
= RL Players Process Part 3: Wednesday Day Off Guild Owner: The players would take some time off to unwind on Wednesday. This would be their last time to relax as the next day is their Last Practice Round.
= RL Players Process Part 4: Thursday Practice Day Guild Owner: On Practice Day, the players get together & Practice the events used for the taping so when they do those Events for Real, they'll know what to do. At 8AM, the players arrive at the Extreme Arena Sound Stage, change into their uniforms and talk with their coaches to discuss their game plans. As for Mike & Mo, they begin their rehearsals. On the show, you'll find Stunt Teams such as supervisors, Coordinators and Spotters. Now if you heard the phrase, "Do NOT Try This at Home", this is what I am talking about as the Stunt Teams supervise every event in every show taping and they REALLY know what they are doing. With the help of coaches and Stunt Teams, these players tune their skills so that Game Day arrives, their Performance would be at their Peek. When you compete against against 2 of the Best Athletes in 1992 to 1996, you have to have a Really Good Performance so to give it one's all such as the Events, Skyball & Blast It. During these breaks, the players are interviewed, so that everything is planned for Game Day. The Last Part of the Players Process is Game Day where it all comes together...
= RL Players Process Part 5: Friday Game Day Guild Owner: At the sight of Dawn, the Players wake up as the Big Day has arrived, Game Day. At the Nickelodeon Studios, everyone gets ready for Game Day. At 8AM, the Players arrive at the Extreme Arena's Trailers where everyone gets all dressed for Game Day. In the Extreme Arena, the Players stretch out, get Last Minute Advice from their coaches and stunt teams then wait to make their entrance as Game Day goes Live. As the show gets closer to airtime, the Staff makes Last Minute Changes if necessary. Outside the Sound Stage for GUTS, is the a Production Van Trailer, the Producers & Directors get things started. The back row has the Directors get the best shot while talking with the Producers as both Local and International have their own signal to show that they are ready. And the Rest is History...
The Guild Owner plays a clip on his Computer to show why "The Rest is History...". On the Computer we hear Mike's Voiceover... Mike: From Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida, welcome to GUTS! The action sports show that will make you sweat! Followed by a Global Guts Spiel... Mike: Welcome to the Extreme Arena at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida! This is Global GUTS! Nickelodeon's World Championship! Now let's meet today's players... Bem "Mr. Big" Gar's Intro is heard as the Blue Player runs into the Extreme Arena First and the video on the Computer stops there.
That's amazing... Do you think we could try this game one day? The boys nod as Dranor speaks to the girls.
Guild Owner: Well, if you want to see what happens when you and your friends appear in the Extreme Arena. Then I'll think about making an OOC Game Pilot of Nickelodeon GUTS, the Action Sports Game that will make anyone sweat and an OOC Game of Global Guts, Nickelodeon's World Championship with the Aggro Crag Easy Difficulty Setting.
Okay, but you may want to wait until Ariane, Nilima and Aulona learn how to swim in the IC on human legs first and that goes Double for any mermaid, merman and fairy turned human too. Dranor reminded the Narrator.
Guild Owner: But of course, Dranor. I was talking about a show that I grew up with as a child. Would you like to see what the Extreme Arenas are like as seen in the show? The Narrator said to the characters.
Sure. Is that okay with you? Dranor said to the Girls.

Guild Owner: So you think you have a shot at winning the Bronze, Silver or Gold Medal along with the Crag Trophy? The Guild Owner asked the mermaids.
= The Extreme Arenas Guild Owner: As for the Extreme Arenas look like, here they are... The Guild owner shows them the pictures of the Extreme Arena on his Computer... Extreme Arena with the Aggro Crag at 22 Feet Extreme Arena with the Mega Crag at 28 Feet Extreme Arena with the Super Aggro Crag at 30 Feet
= Other GUTS Tournaments Guild Owner: GUTS also had a Tournament of Champions which not only aired on Television but was also released on Video which featured 3 Perfect Score Champions, Mike "Superman" in Blue, Jana "The Warrior" in Red and Kelli "The Manaic" in Purple. But the Awards in that Tournament is Really Great. First Place awards a $2,500 Prize, Silver GUTS All-Stars Tournament of Champions Plate & the Nickelodeon GUTS All-Stars Trophy... Second Place awards a $1,500 Prize & a Silver GUTS All-Stars Tournament of Champions Plate... and Third Place awards a $1,000 Prize & a Silver GUTS All-Stars Tournament of Champions Plate. The GUTS All Stars Tournament of Champions is 7 Events Long before getting to the Crag Mountain Event.
= Best Possible Scores Guild Owner: On GUTS, there are 3 Best Possible Scores for First, Second and Third in a Regular Game... 1925 Points for First Place... 1350 Points for Second Place... and 775 Points for Third Place. While The All Star Tournament of Champions best Possible Scores are... 2825 Points for First Place... 1950 Points for Second Place.. and 1075 Points for Third Place.
Drenden whispered Nilima, maybe we can ask the Guild Owner who the last person to win this All Star Tournament of Champions in this so called GUTS show?
Nilima was a bit confused by the suggested question. "Who was the last winner?"

= Last All-Stars Champion Guild Owner: Jana "The Warrior" Waring was the last person to win the GUTS All-Star Tournament of Champions in First. However, Mike "Superman" Schmidt in Second & Kelli "The Maniac" Marchewka in Third were also winners too. As these 3 Perfect Score Champions gave it their all to become the Best. As that's what winning, sports and GUTS are all about.
= Perfect Score Winner 1 Notice Guild Owner: One thing to note is that Mike "Superman" Schmidt got a Perfect Score in all 4 Events & on the Crag. One thing I forgot to mention is that each player on the Crag Event MUST hit each of the 6 to 8 Target Buttons to light them up. If a player doesn't, then they would need to backtrack to find those buttons and light them as per instructed by the Rules of the Event and by the Stunt Teams should a player miss then after backtracking, that player must climb back up again. The Purple player, "Action" Ancel Kinnaird reached the Summit First but missed a Target Activator doing so, resulting in an Automatic 3rd Place Finish while Mike "Superman" Schmidt, the Blue Player, reached the summit first after hitting ALL of the Targets, resulting in him winning in First Place by Default. This was during GUTS Show 108 in February 1993.
Aedelyn spoke to Sirpa Those 3 were really good to become All-Star Champions.
The girls listened, having no idea who those people were.
"Yeah." Sirpa replied.
