1 - I choose you

Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town in the Kanto region has just turned 10 and can now get a Pokemon of his own. He slept in and thus could not get the traditional starters of Kanto, which are Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or charmander. He ended up getting a very wild male Pikachu who wanted nothing to do with Ash.

When Ash defended Pikachu from a flock of Spearow that were attacking our duo, Pikachu used his thunderbolt and saved them both. It was from then on that Pikachu realized that although Ash is clearly a novice when it comes to pokemon training, he has a good heart and is will become a good trainer.

Ash makes it to Viridian City where he meets officer Jenny and finds out that his pokedex is his identification. They take pikachu to the pokemon center for treatment where Ash tells his mom where he is. Professor Oak calls the Pokemon center where Ash answers and Ash tells Oak that he saw Ho Oh not knowing that it was Ho Oh. Then team Rocket's Jessie, James, and their talking Meowth invades and it was up to Ash, Misty, and Nurse Joy to save the day.

Now Ash wanders through the Viridian forest with his pikachu and Misty in tow. He comes across a caterpie and we are just waiting to see if Ash catches it.

Ash catches the caterpie and a pidgeotto then he has to battle Team Rocket who is after his pikachu. He beats Team Rocket and then Caterpie evolves into metapod. They are continuing through the forest though to see what else they can find.
