⇨☾⇨Carmilla is also known as Central Arcana and is where the majority of the population is concentrated. It is a hypnotically gorgeous castle city with extremely tall towers and a never-ending lavender sky. Carmilla was the first location created by the Witch Queen's spatial magic when it paired with the Conduit and thus the pull of magic in Carmilla is at its highest as compared to the rest of Arcana. Carmilla is filled with shops, restaurants, and more.

⇨☾⇨Apotheosis left Vathek to head into town for his next round of missions. The Witch Queen assigned him some higher-level targets. These individuals in Arcana decided to go rogue from the Witch Queen and begin doing acts of evil. They each preyed upon the town of Carmilla in the center of Arcana. There was an elevated level of murders among the people in Carmilla and the Witch Queen discovered that the source were various Kishin eggs. For breaking the laws of the realm, she declared that their souls needed to be magically harvested for the Conduit. Apotheosis carefully read the instructions for his mission and found it quite vexing that he would have to run all over town tracking these targets down. Apotheosis began by walking into a pub with his wanted posters prepared. "Greetings, humble taverner! Have you seen any of these people? I'm on official business, hmph!" The barkeep's eyebrow raised at Apotheosis's flamboyant and uppity behavior. He had plenty of experience dealing with Apotheosis, however. He also knew that the sorcerer would be here on official business. Likewise, Apotheosis knew that the bartender was a reliable source for rumors as he was a jovial fellow who seemed to get along with everyone. The bartender quietly grabbed a map off the wall and began marking general areas where those people tended to work or operate. The bartender was not familiar with their more nefarious activities but did know them all as customers. "Thank you, good sire. The ages shall remember you through my great deeds." Apotheosis flicked his cape as he turned sharply on his heel and marched out of the bar with his new map. This first target was a human named Soul Crusher who was a gangster in the western district of Carmilla. Once Apotheosis entered that section of the city, he saw the gangster in a dark alleyway. He stood to the side and correctly ascertained his target before blasting him into oblivion with a fireball spell. Once he was dead, Apotheosis stepped into the dark alley and collected the Kishin eggsinside of his spellbook.
⇨☾⇨The Witch continued his journey through Carmilla using his map as his north star. The increased power of his magic allowed him to take on more powerful targets and harvest more souls. He tracked down another couple of drug dealers in the far northern district of Carmilla. When he arrived, he found them in a serious den of inequity. It was a pool hall with, of course, pool tables. The room was filled with cigar smoke as Apotheosis held the pictures up to his face and scanned the room. Low and behold, they were both here. The red-haired sorcerer stuck out like a sore thumb among all of the gangsters who were enjoying the seedy establishment. Apotheosis announced his presence by hurling spells at the enemies. Magic circles filled the room as all of the men in the room left their seats to stand up and rumble. Apotheosis filled the room with fire as he cast arcane flame through the circles. Multiple henchmen were seared by the flames and dropped to the floor. Apotheosis continuously cast circles of eldritch power to block the gunshots of the gangsters. The sorcerer fired an explosive blast that destroyed most of the gangsters. However, he watched as the two gangsters he was looking for ran through the back door. "Hmph! Come back here so I can kill you!" Apotheosis ran through the back door in pursuit of them and the spellcaster was already getting tired of chasing them. He formed a very large magic circle that blocked that end of the alley. With Apotheosis behind them, they were now unable to escape. He cast another couple of fireballs that completely disintegrated them. What remained were two Kishin eggs that he absorbed within the demon book. With their souls collected, this was a mission accomplished. Yet there were still far more Kishin eggs to track down.
⇨☾⇨Apotheosis left this part of the city and began tracking down the next source of Kishin eggs. He saw them less as a threat to Arcana that needed to be stopped and more as an opportunity to become a more powerful sorcerer. He acknowledged the importance for Queen Reina to minimize the threats. However, his goal was simply to absorb as many souls into his demon tool as possible. He considered how many other sorcerers there were who were seeking to fill the retiring Grand Sorcerer's shoes. Apotheosis was insecure that he was already so far behind more experienced sorcerers who are conniving for the position. Especially since it took him so long to create his demon tool and get started on soul collection. Apotheosis was essentially panicking over the prospect. Plus he needed to get to the bottom of these dragon sorcery rumors. He entered the new area of Carmilla where he would track down the target. He found them immediately and began casting spells to catch them off guard. The sorcerer planned to take underhanded steps for the purpose of destroying these dangerous targets. They defended with some bizarre spells that he did not recognize. It appeared to be some form of arithmetic magic forming barriers. The pyromancer continued his onslaught of fire spells hoping to wear them down. He then used an arcane spell to blast the spells away. What he knew of calculation magic was that it took a while to set up. He was able to exploit these complications with additional spells and strategy. Once Apotheosis's magic broke through their barriers they were incenerated. All that remained were two Kishin eggs that filled his demon book.
⇨☾⇨His map next directed him to an apartment complex. He assumed that he would have to ambush these goons in their home. When he approached the door to the old apartment building it was locked. It seemed to be rather small for an apartment complex. Like it only had a few apartments units within. He unlocked the door using an arcane spell and entered the portal. The apartment became so much bigger on the inside than the building appeared on the outside. There was an enormous old ballroom with a chandelier, cathedral ceilings, and a restaurant. It reminded him more of a hotel. What was eerie about it was how vast yet how empty and abandoned it was. He could imagine what this place looked like without the cobwebs. When it was alive and had its glory days. He stepped through the building and looked already carefully. He heard a bump and took a defensive stance. Arcane circles formed over his hands when he crossed his arms. Suddenly, a stone golem was formed by an enchanter and sent his direction. The towering clay creature had loud footsteps as it gained on the sorcerer. He materialized his staff and shot a great ball of flame towards it. The clay was immediately melted by the intense flames. Once the enchanters were open, he fired another spell from his staff and killed them. His spell tome glowed as it was filled with Kishin egg souls.
⇨☾⇨Apotheosis left the apartment building and continued on his hunt. It was somewhat stressful having to track people down and attack them. In fact, it was very stressful! Having to constantly fight them without a break was exhausting. However, he persevered through it because he could feel himself getting stronger. The spells had increased potency has the absorbed the power of the evil souls in his demon book. As he followed his map he looked down at his spell tome and reminisced. Apotheosis was talented but it had been a long road since he could create the source of his magic. This tome contained pages filled with eldritch knowledge that he had gathered from his sorcery education. It was becoming quite the versatile demon tool so he was glad that he spent the extra time on it. This was all despite how frustrating it was for his patience. Apotheosis walked through Carmilla as night fell upon the town. The city was dark as he walked along the streets in search of his targets. He formed a spark of pyromancy flame over his palm to light his way. This impromptu torch allowed him to read the map more closely as he entered the center of Carmilla for his last gathering of souls to collect. Once he entered Carmilla's town square, he immediately tracked down his enemies. To his surprise, they had crude spell tomes on their hips. These were street sorcerers. "Uggggh, it's disgusting! Street sorcerers?! What a mockery!" He created his fiery arcane circles and was ready to battle these glorified magicians with their peasant demon tools. They had simple journal books on their belts which allowed them to conjure. Flames were fired from his arcane circles as they blocked the pyromancy spells with their own magic circles. These sorcerers were not official members of the grand coven and just made rudimentary demon tools to give themselves arcane magic. Apotheosis took personal offense to this! The more legitimate sorcerer managed to break through one sorcerer's arcane defenses and roasted him alive. Once that sorcerer was dead and his soul materialized it was instantly absorbed by his floating demon tome. The fop that was apotheosis would then dodge a series of arcane blasts before throwing out another fireball. The fire culminated in an explosion that consumed the other street sorcerer. Once he was dead as well, the demon tome absorbed the power of its soul. Apotheosis approached the demon tomes that collapsed to the ground once they died. He shook his head vigorously as he read the garbage arcane theory within the demon tools. He then threw the books into the fire just to watch them become reduced to ash. Once he was done, Apotheosis left the area and allowed the magic to restore the damage as he headed off to complete more missions.
