At some point Sub had called upon the Snagems in the World Champion Cup to leave immediately and report to Route 1 in Galar to track down their teammates who suddenly went missing. Unfortunately those Snagems that set off to find the missing teammates befell the same fate as the Ultra Wormhole opened up again and sucked them inside as well.

Jettisoned across space and time, lightyears beyond their home...the Snagems would embark on an adventure they, in time, will never forget, and yet struggle to remember...

Sector sigma, US-369, layman designation 'Ultra Ruin', three thousand lightyears from origin space US-59 (Snagem’s world). From the point-of-view of US-59, ‘Ultra Ruin’ is an alternate reality to their own, however ahead forty-nine complete Earth orbits around the star Sol. Central divergent theme in relation to US-59 appears to be an acceleration in technology and resulting pollutants which in turn attracted UB-05, causing near complete societal collapse. Study of this space has been given low priority and is considered a dying space and travel to and from should be heavily restricted.

----

Ultra Ruin is a desolate alternate Earth where Cipher’s technology was allowed to continue to spread unchecked, even after Ein’s defeat. The advanced technology created a tremendous boon for human development, however heavily at the cost of Pokemon and environment. In spite of the relatively short timespan, the global population collapsed from the effects of pollution and climate change affected by such technologies and rapidly hastened by the arrival of Guzzlord.

All characters will be altered in some fashion to accommodate their placement in this new world, or their ‘souls’ inhabiting a new body. Examples being; your character aged over this time and affected heavily by living in this world. Your character died at some point (which should be likely, not everyone should still be alive) and now your main character’s ‘soul’ inhabits a new body, a ‘native’ of this world (good chance to perhaps use a descendant of your character).

No characters, save for one I picked, will have memories of where they came from. Do not worry about this requirement at this point, just know that the memory loss and the fact that your characters’ ‘souls’ are inhabiting completely new bodies, even if you choose to play as they aged, are important plot points. All characters should be played as if they are native to this world. As the story goes on the need for these requirements will begin to make sense.

[Location: Aether Island, Alola, Ultra Ruin]

If you were old enough, and lucky enough, to have been around before the alleged ‘Great Technological Leap’ took place you would find it humorous that Poni Island of all places would become one of humanity's last refuges. Of course it’s not called Poni Island anymore, not since The Foundation renamed it. For us old folks it was difficult to complain too much about The Foundation and their rule, if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have air to breathe and we certainly wouldn’t have been able to ward off those...things...for as long as we have. Sure, King Aether was a cruel man and led with an iron fist but we kept us safe, the last of humanity…

Flower City was the largest settlement on Aether Island, built on top of the Altar of the Sunne and Moone once stood. There were other settlements on the island, but Flower City was the last truly safe place left in this world, the rest were plagued by banditry and crime, in spite of The Foundation’s attempts to keep them in control. It was funny though, the outer settlements hated The Foundation so much yet if it wasn’t for the protective dome covering the island, flowing outward from The Tree, they would have all succumbed to The Hunger by now. That wasn’t even to mention the crime that was rampant in the underground levels of Flower City, we called them The Roots. Oh well, there were other things to worry about, even up here on the surface in The Grass. Sure, life wasn’t as good down here as it was in the highrises of The Petals but at least it wasn’t The Roots. Down here it reminded the old folks of the big cities of old, in fact if it weren’t for the dark dirty sky, towering artificial sun lamps, and the pulsating dome of energy in the sky they would have mistaken it for some place like Celadon or Lumiose from back when.

The outer settlements were less familiar and pleasant. Seafolk Village of course was gone, at one point made into a modern port but was abandoned and left to waste away since traveling off island was made illegal, rumor has it it’s now the headquarters of the Wicker bandits. Ruins of Hope was blown up in a terrorist attack by said Wickers, it was a major blow to the last of the Tapu faithful, very few believe in that anymore though. The place formerly known as Ancient Poni Path was one of the better settlements, crime was still high in comparison to Flower City but Sheriff Gardenia did her best keeping New Po Town in line. Some of the old folks say the town reminds them heavily of its namesake, complete with its high walls constructed from natural stone, ruin rubble, and what concrete Flower City could afford them.

Poni Plains, one of the few places that retained the name Poni, was now called Poni Wastelands, an apt name. Nothing grows there anymore, and if you ever find a Pokemon there it’s probably just Rattata or Raticate, nothing else can really survive out there. Roving gangs, bandits, and outcasts from civilization make the wastelands their home. It’s a lawless place by design, almost like an open air prison if you will.

Then you have the old Poni Gauntlet and Battle Tree, or rather the Duchy of Faba and The Tree, respectively. Duke Faba had converted the Battle Tree into what we call The Tree, a grotesque amalgamation of nature and technology, The Tree is responsible for casting the dome of Aether Island and protecting us all from the pollution, mainly The Hunger inducing gasses. Duke Faba was the one who designed The Tree, his creation drawing the planet’s natural energies out to create the dome and protect us, though it’s no secret that this isn’t sustainable, that one day we’ll tap the planet dry and that will be it. Duke Faba though made himself extremely valuable to the king with this technology and knowledge, both of which he guards jealousy and has allowed him a duchy of his own, though only a few hundred actually live there, most living in small pre-fabricated trailer-like buildings and were more like serfs under Duke Faba. Rumor has it that Duke Faba has been using the same technology to keep himself alive.

Any who, it was a nice day today in Flower City, considering. Yes, today it was a normal day on Aether Island, where everyone knew their place, accepted it, and survived...or at least, that’s how it started.

(Post as your character going about their daily life in one of the mentioned locations. To recap these places are, from most developed to least; Flower City, New Po Town, Duchy of Faba, Seafolk Ruins, and Poni Wastelands. The environment is harsh and unforgiving now, always shady with little natural sunlight and outside of the first three listed locations the island is completely lawless. For an out-of-canon example think of Mad Max.)

Time and space, warped beyond all comprehension in the mind of the girl, flung far out into the future and the world shifts between colors and black. They're being pulled somewhere...but what? But where?

Nothingness felt just simply like dreaming, like the sleep that kept them all together, chained in the grand consciousness of the sick black smoke at the horizon, from the machines that kept the outer city alive. Least in the Duchy...it was cleaner. Fortunate for her, it was cleaner. Stirring awake, the young blonde takes her canteen and dashes the water on her hands, then rubs hard at her face. In the mirror, shorter ears stick out, their pink hue faded and worn out in tone from the lack of sunlight, the lack of cleanliness. But she was healthy, but she was alive.

She dresses lightly, to keep the sick from her skin, but she drapes a specialized fabric across her shoulders and heads out from her small room, the jangle of the cuff on her ankle telling others she was on her way and to give her space.

"Grandmother...good day." She greets, opening the door, frowning softly at the sight of the bars of the wall that separates the small space she's able to access and squeeze into. The pink hue of her grandmother's fur was far paler than it used to be, she says, mulled by soot and grime and pollution. And with her, equally losing color, was the reason the young one had arrived that day. "Its time for me to take care of Zac, Grandmother. Please bring him to me. I brought you food--snuck a fruit from the outside in. Please...eat..."

Eri hated parting her grandmother from the precious Core. Years of stories the older woman had told her, through the hacking and wheezing of inactivity from being kept after being captured. She still had kept her thin figure, but she looked ever smaller by the day, neglected by the very man who took care of both her granddaughter and Core, though the young woman had always tried to sneak things in to keep the elder alive, desperate in a way to keep her from continuing on her journey.

The former had strength still, and the desire to free the woman and the Core away from the Duchy who used its power. Zac took patient time to slip to her, and nestled into the sling pouch she kept for it. She pet its head, noting how tired the poor thing looked. She cradled it, and noted the way Rhymes' gaze sought her out. The two exchanged expressions, and Eri nodded. "I'll keep him safe, Grandmother, I promise." And one day... She thought to herself, eyes like the brilliant blue sky that was rumored to be above the haze of smoke turning briefly determined as she kept her charge and disappeared down the well-memorized path to the Duchy, ...one day, I'll free you. And we'll see the true sky, and take Zac with us, and he'll be able to frolic in the world once more.

User Image It was another sweating nightmare. It had felt so vivid that she had to check the mirror to make sure no nasty-shadow creature had taken over her face. However real that dream felt, it wasn't. She told herself and grabbed her black cape after getting into her usual outfit. Even though it was of high quality, there were parts that made it look overused. The metals were a bit rusted and the cloth run-down in the corners. There was a limitation on every resource and fashion wasn't what it used to be. It didn't really matter where you lived in this world, nothing was ever easy. Despite the feelings of that nightmare dissipated, the reality of the world started to set in as it did every morning and the anger was clear across her eyes.

She had her usual breakfast with the usual annoying people and at the second she saw the opportunity, she skipped town. It got to a point where no one bothered to stop her from leaving anymore. Today she would decide to wander around, looking for trouble.

Yuni Toumei woke up slowly, an image of a Guzzlord slowly fading away like a dream. Maybe it was a dream. Pushing herself out of bed, Yuni did what little she could perform her daily ritual of cleaning herself off as best she could. She did this in front of a mirror, and once she was done cleaning up, she looked into the mirror to notice her ears were in a constant state of rolling and unrolling. She never found anyone that could make her truly happy, so she never got to evolve into a Lopunny like her mother did. Or at least, Yuni assumed that her mother was once a Buneary like her. She never had a chance to ask her about that.

To complete her daily ritual, she walked away from the mirror and sequestered herself in her closet so she could pull out her most prized possession - a picture of her family. She looked at it every morning, as she never wanted to forget what she once had.

Her parents - Terashi and Keiko Toumei, were part of a vigilante group that challenged that Team Cipher was trying to accomplish. Maybe the saw what would happen to the world if Cipher wasn't stopped. Sadly, they failed to prevent what happened to the world. Yuni didn't know what became of them. The last time she saw her dad was in his gym in Castelia City when she was very little, and the last time she saw her mom was when she was bringing her and her brother to the city where they'd be safe, only for Keiko to then leave. Yuni cried for some time as she watched her mother run away, and even the memory of it brought a tear to her eye. Then there was her brother, Aden. They lived together for a while, but he had his father's righteous fury, only he didn't use it to righteous ends. He didn't agree with how things were being handled by the last rulers of humanity and went off to the Wastelands, insisting that if he was going to die, it'd be on his own terms. She hadn't heard from him since, and could only hope he was still out there somewhere. She wanted to be reunited with him - with her entire family - but she couldn't shake the feeling that that'd never happen.

Her older sister, Ulla, was in the picture as well, but she wasn't there when the picture was taken. Her father added Ulla in with some kind of computer technology that existed before Team Cipher. Her mother claimed that Ulla was in the Fairy Realm recovering from an injury, but that was back when Yuni was real little. Yuni never actually met Ulla, and used to hope that Ulla would come back someday and make everything right, but she was old enough to know better now. She only hopped that Ulla stayed in the Fairy Realm where it was safe and that she was still alive. She also wondered if Ulla's hair was actually white or if that was a result of a bug in whatever technology her father sued to add her to the picture.

With a bittersweet smile, Yuni put the picture back in its safe space, and stepped out of her closet. She then gave herself one last once-over in the mirror before heading out and almost tripping on the small stairs outside her door. This made her grateful that she hadn't evolved yet, because having the Klutz ability would make her life a good deal more painful. Then again, she was grateful she wasn't born with the Cute Charm ability like her mother, because that came with its own problems. Though it wasn't like she didn't already have problems like that, considering she was a single woman in the last human city on the planet. Being a hybrid - especially a Buneary hybrid - didn't help matters either.

Clearing those thoughts from her mind, she closed her door behind her and locked it before walking down the road. She had her part to play just like every other citizen of Flower City to ensure that humanity had as much time left as possible on this dying planet.

Requiem of Whyspers

Fashionable Shapeshifter

The young Fenrall child stood outside in the garden, what little of it she had managed to keep alive in the wastelands near Seafolk Ruins, at least. She was approximately 9 years old, a set of delicate, blue wings on her back fluttering fiercely to keep her in the air as she showered her tiny garden with water. Her mother, Libelle, had disappeared some time ago, leaving the poor thing to fend for herself. Thankfully for her, she'd been taught to care for the garden from the time she was old enough to walk and she'd matured much faster as a hybrid than others her age might have, perhaps because of the stress of living on the edge of the wastelands?

Settling back onto the ground and plucking a few berries from their plants, she headed inside the ruins, to the ruined home she and her mother had shared. She paused for a moment, thinking about the dream she'd had last night. Less a dream and more a nightmare, really. She remembered fighting Guzzlord; the source of all the destruction that had ravaged the world recently, and she thought she remembered seeing people her mother once told her stories about. They'd been fighting while she did little more than stand by. What could she have done if she'd wanted to, after all? Shaking her head to rid her of the nasty dream's remnants, she'd take a bite of a Sitrus berry and look up to the sky.

"Momma... when will grandpa Lykas and Grandpa Odd come back to save us?" She asked the memory of her vanished maternal figure, receiving no answer as tears slowly streamed down her face.

"Fresh feeesh!" Comes the cry through the market stalls of what used to be a hustling and bustling trade community turned slum. "Step right up and get your fresh feeesh!" A squat, stocky little man sits beneath a rounded wide-brimmed hat, the only thing providing him some shade from the sun on this day in Flower City, one of the few stalls seemingly still in business here. Once a prosperous bazaar now was filled with boarded up and burnt down stalls. Urchins roamed the area looking for scraps, and bandits roamed the area looking for easy marks.

"Buy one get one!" He bellows, cupping his hands around his voluminous moustache and beard. Below the pair of them a rippling set of muscles was displayed, acquired from his time beneath the mast. Rope burns and scars were more evidence of his time at sea and they criss-crosssed his bare arms and hands like contrails made of flesh. Clad in only a simple pair of trousers with wooden sandles strapped to his feet he was wholly unremarkable otherwise. The son of a long line of fishmongers, he had kept his trade going for as long as possible, trying to carry on the legacy of those who had come before him the best he could.

Except, if you've been paying attention there was one problem. The seas were polluted and dying. Journey out into the ocean was forbidden and no boat had set sail from the island in quite some time.

So where was this fishmonger getting his fish?

Aden Toumei jolted awake, a dream of a giant shadow monster fresh in his mind. He then began feeling up his body - specifically arms and chest - as if something was very wrong. But the more he got used to being awake, the more he realized his body was the same it always was. Scoffing, he pushed himself out of his bed and out of his tent, his eyes being caught by the light coming from the 'civilized' lands. He spat at the ground at the thought of that. He didn't remember much of his parents, but he remembered something his father told him. Something that stuck in his mind no matter what.

"Evil only triumphs when good men do nothing."

Aden was convinced that those that ruled the last human cities were using the state of the planet for their own benefit, and sitting around in their towns, working for them, and eating their food, was worse than nothing. Granted, there wasn't much he could do in the wastelands, but at least he wasn't being a benefit to those that sought to drain this planet down to the last drop just to turn a profit.

"You're in a bad mood," a young, snarky voice called out to him. Aden turned his head to find a very young nine year old girl smirking malevolently at him.

"You say that like it's not an everyday thing, Corona," Aden huffed.

The young girl smirked, and threw something at him. It didn't take long for the smell to hit his nostrils. "It's a wonder how you're able to find these somewhat consistently," Aden whispered before wolfing down the food. not wanting anyone else to know what he had.

"Ha! You're just lucky that I feel like looking after you this time, 'Big Bro.'" Corona snarked.

As Corona cackled, as if making a hilarious joke, Aden reminisced. He'd once offered to take care of Corona, like a big brother. He feared what would happen to her once she started growing up in a place like this, and wanted to protect her, even though he could scarcely take care of himself. Then again, he was a good deal more idealistic at the time. Corona only laughed at the offer, however, and picked on him for it ever since, even going out of her way to take care of him when she was in a good mood. Life in the wastelands had humbled Aden, but to her it was all one big adventure with no adult supervision, which of course was the best kind of supervision in her mind.

Aden curled up the empty wrapper into a ball and tossed it aside, not caring where it landed. The food didn't do much to fill his stomach, but it was far better than not eating at all. Of course, he had no idea that Corona Deathrage ate her fill and only gave Aden what remained. But then she needed to be strong in case anybody tried something on her. Aden was lucky enough to be born as a guy, so most people left him alone unless they were stronger than him. Corona had to be a good deal more careful, though that was just part of the adventure from her point of view.

As Yuni heads toward her work, her twitchy ears picked up the sound of a man's voice as it echoed through the alleyways. Curious, Yuni made a detour, walking through some alleyways and eventually making it to one of the only stalls in the area. Whatever he was selling certainly smelled of fish, but she couldn't fathom how he possibly could have gotten his hands on such merchandise, considering the state of the world. That said, she hadn't had meat in some time, and it might be a nice treat to splurge on.

Cautious, however, Yuni walked up to the sand. "Excuse me, sir. Might you regale me with the saga of how you acquired this merchandise? I don't wish to be rude, but I must admit it is a nice surprise to find such food on offer."

Veronica finally reached the wastelands, staring down at everyone. She released a Togekiss whom sat on her shoulder. "So, who do we torment today?" Eventually they came to pass a boy throwing away something like an empty wrapper to the side. The Togekiss follow her gaze. "What is that, brother and sister? Is that too easy of pickings?" Her eyes bounced to the Togekiss and back.
"To-to." The pokemon chirped.
"Yea, I wonder if they're as worthless as everyone else." The girl felt a pump of energy as she looked forward to messing with their day. She sent her Togekiss forward to start pestering the boy with Magical Leaf, except it picked up dust, tiny rocks and other junk around instead of leaves.
She simply watched with a smile to see if he would fight back.

"Ahhh! But of course my dear!" He gestures to the stool in front of his stand. "Sit, sit, let me make you some tea and I'll tell you all about it." He produces a pair of ornate-looking cups before retrieving a little tea kettle off a portable heater nearby, Sitting back down, he steeps the tea a little bit in front of the hybrid and pours a steaming cup for each of them. Setting one in front of the little hybrid and taking a small gulp of the mug in front of him, he launches into his tale. "See this scar here?" He asks, pointing to a particularly windy doozy of a gash that wound around his muscular forearm and up his bicep.

Yuni nods and sits on the stool as the merchant fixes the drink, which was also a source of curiosity for the Buneary hybrid. Her father didn't much care for the drink, and her mother never seemed to bother with it either, so it's not something that was ever served in her household when she was young. She couldn't help but be curious how it would taste. She didn't have to wait long, and once she took a sip, she was surprised by the earthen and slightly sweet tone of the drink. It was a bit heavier than she was used to, but she hadn't had anything more than plain water for some time, and it's not like there was any alcohol in it. She had learned the taste of THAT at a young age and couldn't stand it.

Then the merchant pointed at a scar on his body, which had Yuni feeling a bit reserved. Was this all he was going to talk about? Shaking her head slightly at herself, she decided to go along with it for now. After all, she believed that everyone deserved to be given the benefit of the doubt at least once. "It looks quite large. It must have been painful when it was fresh."

A cloaked figure would be sitting on a smallish boulder, a yawn coming out of their heavily hooded mouth. There was what looked like a quarterstaff sticking out of a hole in the back, and they were potentially holding a basic long bow in one of their hands. "Hmph. Let's see how this plays out," they commented, watching the scene play out between a trainer and her Togekiss and a pair of twins while taking a chunk out of a piece of stale bread. A yawn would punctuate that bite, with the person shaking their head. "Damn nightmare..."

A mirror cracks furiously and completely shatters, falling to the floor of a home in Flower City. Hands slap against the wall, bracing the one attached to them from falling over with the mirror itself. Freth stood there, in a look of total shock, breathing heavily, overwhelmed and breaking out in a cold sweat. Something came over her. She wasn't as sure as to what. She looked around in a panic; this home. Was wrong...somehow. But it was her home though. A home that she settled in with no choice in the matter, as far as she figured. Years as she been here. Too long, perhaps, but it was home. She was experiencing so many feelings at once, she couldn't quite describe them. As if it was echo of memories that conflicted with one another. With what she knew now combined with maybe deja vu or anything of that sort. It was...rather indescribable. She stumbled across a living room, rushing to the bathroom down a hall, her breathing still panicked, mass confusion abound. She started to move to a closet, trying to search through the towels, medicines, odds and ends, but then found herself confused as to what in the world should she even get for...this? She looked towards the sink, rushing over and bracing up against it then she looked in the mirror. That...was her. But yet...it wasn't her. Her feathers overall were much darker, her eyes were rimmed with onyx black feathers which oddly complimented her sky-diamond colored eyes. Her head feathers were longer and folded back as opposed to straight up, and...she wasn't wearing a wig...this hair was natural, albeit with streaks of grey. Years were had.

"Freth, what is wrong?" A voice spoke up. Freth would immediately jump in shock She looked around; she wasn't seeing anyone. She wasn't sensing anyone. In fact...now that she thought about it, she wasn't really sensing any pressures at all. Perhaps she couldn't. No...that was the case. She couldn't. She had a new power. "Freth?" She looked back behind her, back into the mirror, and there, her face, but...yet not? While she knew she had the look of panic and shock, the face in the mirror had the look of concern, and confusion. "Are you okay?" The image spoke. She knew this person. "You had another panic attack."

Another panic attack? She could remember. It didn't start until everything started to go to hell, one thing after another for her. When it finally seemed like a point in her life was about to achieve true happiness, settling down, about to marry the love of her life, be a family, a transformation was forced upon her, changing lifestyle and worldview. Tristen, the adoptive son, would achieve mega-evolution shortly after; though as if a experiment failed, found himself large, bestial, uncontrollable, and to no fault of his own, actually slain the one he would call father in a burst of rampant impulsive electricity and with him not being able to be controlled long enough to actually attempt revert him back, had to be put down himself lest he kill others. Freth found herself alone once again. This person in the mirror...however...

She quickly backed away to the opposite wall. She had a massive spout of anger out of nowhere, a memory crawling back to her. She wanted to lash out, but wait. She was in...her head. "Freth, it's happening again. You need to calm down. The last time you were like this, you let your power spike out of control and they had to sedate you. If you get out of check again, they'll throw you out into the badlands for their own safety. Calm down."

She remembered...that's right, she was here. She came here to be safe. After the massive tech leap, things continued to sour...not just for her, but virtually everyone out in the world. "Why is...why does this keep happening?" Freth would say, now taking note to her hands, what was adorned in soft icy blue feathers were now bare talon-like. Nails and all.

"I don't know." The image would say. "I'm starting to get concerned. It looked like you were starting to get better for a while, and now over the past year you've been having these attacks. I'm not sure if it's your power itself or you simply havent put the past to rest. You know your mental state affects how it works." Freth realized, at least realized once again, she was psychic. Not the ice flying hybrid she once was. Memories continued to conflict and couldn't explain why...

"I...might be fine now..." she said.

The fishmonger grins as she takes a drink of the tea in front of her. See, there was no alcohol in it. But there was also a light... poison. Haban Berries, the native berry grown by the Mymay Clan and the main ingredient in this tea were quite an effective sedative even in light doses. As soon as the first gulp of tea had passed through her lips and into her throat she was paralyzed completely, her eyes drooping and her vision going foggy as sleep was certain to overcome her. The monger had drunk from the same tea as her but he had been microdosing himself for years and years and so other than a light numbness of his lips, he was unaffected.

Rising to his feet and straightening his circular hat he snaps his fingers to the back of the stall. "Hanzo! Garbanzo! Get out here, we have another... customer." A mammoth of a man and a skinnier, lankier counterpart make their way out of the back of the stall on cue, both clad in simple black rags similar to the ones making up the Fishmonger's trousers.

"Oh boy boss!" The smaller one, Garbanzo, intones, looking the frozen Yuni up and down. "I bets her parents has lots of money...." He clasps his hands together excitedly. "I can already taste it." He smacks his lips over his prominent overbite as his bug eyes look her up and down.

"Maybe you should stop eating money." Hanzo says in a deep bass, the clean shaven giant with a buzz cut walking over towards the chair, picking up the Buneary hybrid easily with one hand. "That would probably help."

"...uhhhn..." Turning about in bed, a body would stir. An especially bad case of bed head meant her hair all but covered her eyes, but she felt too tired and lazy to do anything about it for the moment. "That dream again? I've lost count of how many times I've seen it," she said to herself, groaning and burying her face into the pillow. "Can my brain change the channel already? It's getting as old as everything else." Her eyes were already closed, deciding that constant, droning encores were still better than static. But only a few minutes would pass before she felt something land on her back, barking at her and licking the back of her neck.

"Fine, fine, I'm up..." Moving her head, the Jolteon behind the antics was satisfied with the signs of life and moved off her and the bed so their trainer could get up. She'd brush her hair away from her eyes and around her head, the idea of actually using a brush crossing her mind for a second before deciding that was too much work to handle today. "You're hungry too, huh?"

A sharp yip from the Jolteon would be enough of an answer to confirm. "Alright, let me get dressed and see if we can find anything outside... maybe. Last time we barely found anything." Her voice continued to be as low energy as ever, but she'd swap the nightclothes for a sleeveless top and shorts- and a headband so her hair wouldn't be as unruly as she and her Jolteon walked outside. After all, it was a nice day today in Flower City, where everyone knew their place and accepted it. Even at the bottommost rung of the ladder.

---

She couldn't recall the last time she had to shield her eyes from the sun, everything cast in a dreary sort of light as tried to ignore anyone that happened to be nearby. She wasn't much for talking on a good day, and small talk today was especially not something she was up for. She was content to quietly slink about, Jolteon at her side and glad to get her out and about. Her somewhat autopilot-y motions would come to a sudden halt when she got to the stands- or what was left of them- and heard a fishmonger that she was too cautious and hesitant to go near the last... five? Six times she'd been here? The biggest difference today compared to the rest was someone actually got there before her, so maybe she'd finally see if the 'fresh feesh' was edible and wouldn't be like eating ill-prepared Qwilfish.

Wait, no, never mind, the fishmonger is a shark with shark friends and they just drugged the customer. Her Jolteon was the first to act, barking and electricity sparking around them before their trainer spoke up too. "Right, yeah, we should help. That what you're saying?" Of course, she already knew the answer, so she gave a small nod and let Jolteon go ahead with the Thunder Shock that was built up to give Hanzo a light jolt.

"You know, I almost thought about trying this place today. Almost," she spoke up, revealing she was in fact capable of speaking in a normal tone that wasn't constantly under her breath.
