CLASS: Witch โจโจโจโจ Sorcerer โจ Those who follow the Sorcerer/Sorceress path specialize in the traditional arcane arts using a demon tool or demon book that is particular to their individual soul. All sorcerers unlock exclusive access to the arcane magic skill tree and can control magic circles as a result. Sorcerers also gain two additional perks for arcane magic or an elemental magic of their choosing. Sorcerers are unique among witches because they rely on magical items that are particular to their souls called Demon Tools or Demon Books that are common sources of their magical power. Sorcerers may make one custom perk at level 3 that is individual to their Demon Tool or Demon Book. ARCHETYPE: โจโพโจ Jester โจโจโจโจ Jester souls tend to be agents of chaos and are complete wildcards. Their wavelength is a constant bombastic explosion and they are not inherently compatible or incompatible with any other archetypal wavelength. Jesters gain two perks in the Madness skill. Jesters who have succumbed to madness gain yet another perk in the Madness skill tree. Jesters are neutrally compatible with other archetypes. MADNESS Tier One โฏ Unsettling โฏ Regardless of the Madness tier of any opponents (or lack thereof), the user can generate baseball-sized abstract, incomprehensible visual-only illusions that confuse the opponent. This generation isn't an ability and doesn't cost an action, nor does it induce Madness, but it can cause confusion and distract opponents. These can be things like the untrackable 'eye squiggle' that some people get in the corner of their vision, but can also be things like vague doodles that can't be looked at directly or even visual glitches in the environment that fix themselves once the opponent(s) look at it. โฉ โฏ Predicting โฏ The user is able to detect soul wavelength attacks just before they strike the user, allowing the user to defend against these attacks for one level lower in resource. The reduction doesn't stack with any other reductions, and this benefit is only applicable once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Disordering โฏ The user emits a screech which disturbs the souls in the area prevents opponents from entering soul resonance for one post. This does not effect opponents already in soul resonance. This can be used once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Raging โฏ The user is able to shoot their wavelength out at a ten foot radius for no action or cost, inflicting no damage but inflicting one tier of Madness, once every five posts. Tier Two โฏ Unpredictable โฏ The user is able to dodge for one level less in resource once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Halucinogenic โฏ Regardless of the Madness tier of any opponents (or lack thereof), the user can generate horrifyingly violent illusions that harass the opponent. These are able to be the size of a one-story building but can't completely obscure the opponents' vision for combat purposes. These illusions tend to be especially traumatic. These are exclusively visual in nature and do not generate sound. This generation isn't an ability and doesn't cost an action, nor does it induce increased Madness, but it can cause great distress. Spells/Techniques List MADNESS โจ Distortion | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit This ability allows the user to change their physical size. Techniques used scale to the user. This ability allows the user to make themselves the size of 3 feet tall to the size of a two story building. Efficacy of techniques are unaffected. This ability lasts for three posts.
โจ Madness Sting | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit The user holds a hand out and shoots a condense beam of Madness out. The aesthetic appearance of the attack can change into anything the user desires. The sting inflicts a raised tier of Madness on the opponent.
ARCANE โพ Eldritch Circles | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Mana The sorcerer generates magic circles by flowing mana into their demon tool. The sorcerer is able to create up to twelve magic circles that float in the air and are freely manipulated by the sorcerer. The color and design of the circles are at the discretion of the user. The edges of the circles are as sharp as blades and the faces of the circles are as hard as steel. The circles can be grasped in the center by the sorcerer and able to be wielded by hand. Depending on the level of this spell, the circles can be up to 10 feet wide per level (10 feet at level 1 and 50 feet at level 5). The magic circles can defend against lower-level spells and techniques, collectively dividing the strength of the technique. This technique has a four post duration.
โพ Sorcery Gateway | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Mana The Witch channels a scaled level of mana through a magic circle and causes it to glow. The sorcerer is able to cast a spell through a magic circle and use it as a gateway for the spell. A spell cast through a magic circle cannot be higher level than the magic circle itself. The spell will often change color to match the color of the magic circle. When a spell is fired through a sorcery gateway, it is not detectable through Soul Perception, but is still visible to the naked eye. The distorting magic surrounding the technique also negates any dodge bonus the opponent has.
WITCH โพ Soul Guard | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Mana Every magical creature knows how to cast a spell to protect their soul from prying eyes. This ability hides the soul's magical inclinations and makes it appear human. This ability lasts until the witch uses magic or by their own will. It can be pierced by Soul Perception techniques. When broken by the witch or pierced by Soul Perception, Soul Guard cannot be replaced for four posts.
