Flashback

In a foreign region dominated by humans/magical creatures living among each other, within a far land, dragons resign and rule over is divided by factions to help runs the balance within the sanctuary; the main key are the rules, dedicated in its strict manner as every single creature must obey, unless one understand the consequences for breaking them. His father, part of the Citrine Faction was assigned via arranged marriage by the Kyanite Faction leader's daughter wife; all part of an old heritage which continues flowing but, he didn't truly love her. So, one day while out and about; he met a woman tending in an shrine - shrine maiden that dons water abilities per say, eyes locked together as they both spend time with each other and well, Hikaru was born. All seem to be peaceful for a year, however, it didn't last long. Only a year old barely walking, the secret broke loose; enraged by this choice, a punishment must happen. One thing the dragons will never cross is not abiding to the marriage heritage - crossing it will have the target's children or child taken away, all powers striped from them, and an exile. The worse price; all powers strip from both ends and an immediate execution of the younger targets, no matter what. Now, they had to make a choice; end their marriage or the child suffer.

No time added, just a week. Time passed by and due-date arrives, the parents thought long and hard, still keeping their love for themselves and how the factions need to understand their own choice; most to well almost all of them disagree, yelling out 'punish them!' as the pair begged-- pleased in fact, tears in their eyes for some kind of hope... some kind of blessing for their mistake; 'Punish us but, not our child!' As the room roared, the air mixed in emotions, a single rumble roar soon echoed the atmosphere. Having that break the noise into silence, the trio leader started discussing. Rather than lost powers or death, instead.... to avoid severe punishment, they have to exile Hikaru, have him live among the 'low-class', what Ekaitza, the leader of Topaz Factions spoke up, much to the horror/distress from the parents. Unfortunately, it's that or suffer worse. In the end, they made their choice.

Through-out his childhood, most of the kids were afraid due to his status; some wanted to fight him, others wanted to hide from him. There has been a one or two cases of him returning back due to parents returning him back after several issues of stealing jewelry, aggressive behavior, or in general raising a normal child. Going to school wasn't great nor bad, not understanding how to control, it usually centers around handling powers through emotion. That's what he's been told. So... as long as he suppress those feelings; nothing bad happens. During these times, a young spirt would be tossing his powers left and right at the age of 8 - it advances once he hit 14... sadly, it happen at the wrong time on the wrong day. Scrolling along the park which was next to the school grounds, he finds himself tagging along with a girl (Momo) who he called his first friend, the only person to not be afraid of him despite every rumor surfacing; moments come and go, the two got closer together --- except for the bad moments involving one kid who had interest in the girl which she turn him down, ever since she met Hikaru; he's been stalking them.

So one day, as the two were enjoying themselves, the pink haired instantly felt pain from the back of the head, landing face-first on the grass as the girl gasp stretching her arm to check just to get pulled back by one of the older boys'. A voice from behind: "You listen up, freak, she's mine and not yours!" He shouted, tugging him by the hair forcing him to look up; throwing the first punch as a fight broke out. In the midst of it, the young boy grabs him by the wrist, under emotions --- smoke appeared followed by a painful groan, confused by it. When he releases it, there's signs of physical burn marks left on the wrist, that's when he starts getting suspicious about his abilities, but the situation gets worse as the fight escalates towards a dangerous level earning cut marks on his cheek and legs and yet, his friend had to receive her own 'punishment', something Hikaru couldn't sit by... and then snap inside. he becomes enraged channeling his anger into one fiery burst out from his mouth. Not paying attention on where's aiming at, all he wanted for these pests to leave.

The good news? The creeps freed his friend. Bad news? Most of them received second-degree burns, while trying to restrain Hikaru as his appearance shifts into a hybrid -- almost impossible to calm him down, the one option: knock him out which happen. Awakening on a bed, the surroundings brighten in white; it appears he's in a hospital; it's been a few days staying there, now sitting on the bench; bandages visible on his body wrapped around his right leg, around his head and a patch on his cheek. This wasn't the worse of it --- heavy footsteps grew louder only for him to feel an impact straight on his bruised cheek causing him to hit the cold floor. An angry sibling screaming at the injuries done on his younger brother (injuries that wouldn't have happen if said b*****d left his friend alone), next thing you know; a screaming contest back to back nearly ending in another break-out which a bystander had to pull them away, leaving the kid alone.

"Understand that, nobody will love you unless you control those damn emotions of yours....!"

That sentence echoed in his mind. Seeing what happen, how it effect a family, friends... hell, even trying to protect someone believing that any emotion equal hell ability.... so why bother interacting again? Why bother spending times? How about avoiding conversation for a while--- or forever....? After returning back to the home, he made his choice to bottle up any emotion for a while in fear of driving people away. So as days gone by, living with his new adopted parents, he would spend moments writing in a journal everything he remember.

Years passed by, adulthood hits head-on and things stayed the same instead this time, a choice is made: Ignore everything in life, relationship, love even . During a small trip, he ran into a familiar face; someone he didn't wanted to see. Before he could make a movement, the figure embraced him tightly recurring him that what happen several years ago wasn't his fault, and graceful she is for him to step up for her; now it's his turn to do it for himself. Taking that idea wasn't going to be easy but, it's a slow process even with help from his adopted folks and Momo. Things would change the following week.

A sign. Out of the blue, he received a strange letter marked towards him: the writing and letter texture felt traditional, something it was his parents. His real parents. Bewildered by this, the context mentioned a city far away from here, Soleil City as his starting point in life. Still unsure about that starting point but, soon gave in... a starting point in life? Maybe it IS that jump he desperate needed.
