The large stallion moved with impressive stealth and silence for his size, creeping cautiously along an unfamiliar path. His adventures often brought him to places he did not know, but he was rarely afraid. On the contrary, he lived for the thrill of the unknown, chased adventure anywhere he could, and rose to all challenges. His latest conquest had brought him to the bottom of a rocky mountain, the ground gravelly below his hooves.

He thought back to the small herd of Usdia he had just left. On the other side of the mountain was a river that had swelled over its banks after a recent downpour. The herd had become stranded by the flood, the high ground turned into an island and the waters too fast for the small ponies to cross. He had helped to escort each one across to safer ground, the rushing water reaching just above his knees. The crossing was no trouble for a stallion his size, but the small herd was grateful for his assistance. Not all of his deeds were daring and courageous...

Stepping lightly, he moved from the shadow of the mountain towards a spring in the distance. He was tired, and ready for a short rest before seeking out his next quest. The sun glinted off his many golden adornments as he stepped into the light and the rock beneath his feet turned to grass as he neared the water source, vegetation sprouting to life. He scanned the area, his eyes darting from side to side, his head swiveling about. He seemed alone enough, but you could never be too careful. There were all types of evildoers who knew how to hide themselves from plain view, waiting for unsuspecting soquili to move into their traps.

Once he deemed the area safe enough, he approached the water's edge and lowered his head to take a drink.
