Boruto, the son of Naruto and Hinata was a troublemaker and wanted to do things his way. He meets a boy named Denki who was the heir to a wealthy company. Denki at first didn't want to learn ninjitsu because he felt like he didn't have a choice, but when he saw how cool Boruto performed the shadow clone jutsu inherited from Naruto, Denki changed his mind. Boruto can see auras that are not normal with his one eye.

Boruto has a sister named Himawari.

While searching for a spirit that sucks out chakra (the energy needed to live and to create ninja powers combined), Boruto, Shikadai (the son of Shikamaru), and Mitsuki (the creation of Orochimaru) got into trouble for skipping school. Their teacher, Shino Aburame (bug infested guy) arranged for a workplace field trip so that could give Boruto the excuse he needs without actually having to skip class. Boruto and company decide to work for the post office seeing it as an opportunity to watch the whole village for the "ghost" as Boruto calls the chakra stealing spirit. Boruto messes up, but the next day while counting stamp sheets, he sees that his classmates Sumire and her group had been attacked by the ghost at the water filtering facility so Boruto and company dashed to Sumire's rescue.
