Okay. She had to get up. Well 'had' is a bit of a looser term at current. The only real term in her life at the moment was 'full'. It was an apt one. She felt full. Her heart was full, her life was full, her abdomen was overly full. Hence the problem.

Life had been amazing, besides the nightly nausea that eventually went away. The carrot addiction did not but you win some and you bank roll the carrot seller some. Now? Now she felt like she was walking around holding a watermelon. This was not fun!

Before she could grumble more, there was a movement. As if it was the first time, the angel popped up -- rather sat up like a zombie chained to the ground by the waist but that was relative. Her giggle was instant as a hand went to her belly. Someone was moving around. Someone she loved instantly.

Raken on the other hand, was quite tired. His wonderful and still cuddly mate now had a bowling ball on her stomach, which caused her to toss and turn all night. And him, a trained light sleeper...the two did not go well together for a good night's rest.

So when Menolly tried to get up that morning, the demon softly groaned and he reached for her to come back. "Not yet, a few more minutes." He normally was not one to shirk getting up in the morning. Actually he was a morning type of pae. But he was just so tired.

Menolly needed no convincing. She fell back into their bed as soon as he reached for her. Snuggling right back into his arms, she was content to stay there. Not even a complaint about wanting more carrots.

Only, only something wasn't quite right. With no experience in the matter, it took her a few moments to register what was going on. She felt the change before the growing discomfort.

Grimacing and shifting more than normal, Menolly tried hard to get comfortable. She thought moving would help with the growing pressure, it didn't.

Was it a false alarm? Were her babies coming?

She tried a moment longer to ignore it. It, however, wouldn't be ignored.

With a cry out, she grabbed Raken's arm to hold on to. He grounded her and that seemed to br exactly what she needed. "Raken! I think the babies don't want to wait." Fear, anxiety, excitement, love all mixed together leaving her almost breathless.

It was a lot for 7am

He lightly smiled in victory as she settled back down and almost started to fall back asleep when Menollys voice reached him.

His eyes popped open. "Now?" The demon quickly sat up even as he wrapped a hand around here. "Ok, it's just like we practiced. Let's grab our pack and go to the Healing House." His voice was firm and calm, the only thing giving away his true nerves was a small tremor as he said 'healing'.

He had long since made a to go bag at the front of the door of necessities for this day. "We don't have to rush, we have plenty of time since it's early." He remembered that from Fre. They were in this stage for hours.

Menolly tried so hard to remain calm. Her shaking gave it away. Her saving grace was the first Blessing the Guardians put in her life. Raken had done this all before. She trusted him and his experience explicitly.

They would all be okay, Raken would ensure it. She just wished her speeding heart would listen!

Using her grip on her Beloved, Menolly was able to finally get out of bed. It was a good thing he was so strong otherwise this whole event would have been back to square one!

Menolly followed his instructions, with the addition of a carrot She was sure she would need.

Once they got to the Healing house, the Fairy there took care of her. Sometime in the late afternoon, Menolly finally got to rest. In her arms lay the most perfect mixture of the two of them.

"I've never seen more perfect babies" she was in complete awe of them. Their daughter and their son. Children born with the Blessing of the Guardians and love of their parents.

Today was her new favorite day.

Raken did what Raken did best. He chased away his feelings of anxiety and anticipation by keeping laser focused on tasks at hand. Give Menolly a hair brush, use the restroom, grab carrots, bag, out.

Unlike the first time he had gone through this process, they were at a medical facility instead out in the middle of the woods. It certainly was a more comfortable experience. But the wait was just as long. He had a few very special memories he kept close to heart. Playing as children with Tristen and Amara, his mother's warm smile, the birth of Dyas and Arlie, getting his first shadow animals trust, meeting Menolly. A new cherished memory joined the ranks. Meeting their new twins. "What should we name them?" He spoke softly, a hand on her back as he looked down fondly at the two new lives. "He has yours and Kurt's hair. Perhaps for the boy at least we honor your father. Kurt, Kubari."

Everytime she thought she couldn't feel even more love, he proves her wrong. With Raken as her partner, in this and in life, nothing could be better.

Gazing down at her joys, it's was almost a hesitation to look away for even a second. Looking lovingly at Raken, her attention drew back to the babies a moment later.

Names! Surely she had thought of a thousand names, yet her mind was blank.

Their son's hair did remind her of her father's. Even no pink stripe to be seem, pure Kurt's. She hoped he was proud of her and his grand kids.

Leaning her head down, she kissed the top of her son's head, "Hello, Kubari, I love you little one!" Now she shifted to their daughter.

The Guardians are their family guides. She loved them all. Dylana and Liliana came to mind instantly. In their honor she said, "Lana. Her name is Lana. May the Guardians bless them both." Had she ever felt so warm and so much love?

Raken was relieved that she liked his twist on the Mastermind Guardian Tabari to honor Kurt. Being creative in this sense wasn't a strong suit. in fact until recently he tried to speak with the least amount of words possible.

"Kubari and Lana. I am certain the Guardians will give them many blessings." After all, both himself and Menolly we're devout followers of the Guardians. He had shed blood in his firm loyalty. The Guardians would surely bless them. "After feeding them, I'll take them so you can get some rest." He gently spoke, knowing she would cling to them until she passed out.
