OWL Exams

xxxxx⇾Astronomy ~ {A}
While Simon did quite enjoy the subject, there was a lot of rote memorization and pictures he couldn't quite make out. He did try on the exam, but between being sleepy and just not being the greatest, he only barely passed.

xxxxx⇾Charms ~ {O}
Charms was one of Simon's favorites from the start of first year. He found ease working with charms, the skill one he was able to use, despite being nonverbal.

xxxxx⇾Defence Against the Dark Arts ~ {O}
Simon liked learning about defence, specifically the aspects involving the history of the spells and their uses and counters. He studied and practiced a lot, especially in dueling club. All this together culminated in a perfect score.

xxxxx⇾Herbology ~ {P}
Simon tried. He really tried. But it seemed plants just didn't like him. He studied a lot, but it didn't seem to help. Try as he may, it didn't really boost his grade, resulting in a fail.

xxxxx⇾History of Magic ~ {EE}
Simon quite enjoys learning the 'why' behind things, specifically as it relates to historical resonations. He also loves doing research type work, which meant he was geared for the class. Unfortunately, he had so many other things on study that he missed a few small details on the exam.

xxxxx⇾Potions ~ {A}
Simon was always fairly decent with potions, following recipes and working patiently to get results. Unfortunately, he's not great at remembering those steps and ingredients. Ultimately, he did pretty well, but it wasn't enough to continue the subject.

xxxxx⇾Transfiguration ~ {O}
Transfiguration is math at its core, and Simon was pretty good at math and logical moves. He paired that with his love of practicing nonverbal magic and made it work pretty well. After extra studies, he managed to score a perfect mark on the exam.

xxxxx⇾Arithmancy ~ {O}
Arithmancy boils down to math, which is one of the subjects that fascinates Simon. This is mostly from his dad, who also quite enjoys the logic behind math. It took quite a bit of studying, but Simon was delighted to score a perfect mark.

xxxxx⇾Care of Magical Creatures ~ {A}
Simon thought CoMC would be a fun, breezy class, but it actually turned out to be a struggle. It took quite a bit of extra studying, but he managed to pass. Even still, Simon's not sure about continuing on through NEWT level.

xxxxx⇾Music ~ {O}
Simon has always liked music, the ability to figure out rhythm has been something he's been able to do since he was teeny. He loved playing his drums in class and learned a bit from the other instrumentalists. He did flawlessly on the exam, thanks in part to his co-captaincy for the Music Club.

xxxxx⇾Study of Ancient Runes ~ {EE}
Runes was a fascinating look into another language, as well as a deep meaningful examination into the history of the runes. Simon quite enjoyed the class, and figured out he was nicely skilled for the study. He practiced quite a bit, earning a solid score on the exam.

xxxxx⇾Wandless Magic Practice ~ {O}
Wandless was one of the classes Simon was most excited for. He had already started to get the hang of nonverbal magic, but the combo of nonverbal and wandless would be a wonderful boost. He got a lot of extra practice within the dueling club, where he learned to put everything forth into motion.

xxxxx⇾Wizard Law ~ {O}
Law was one of the classes Simon took to try and bond further with his dads, and it worked. It also proved that he was pretty good at it. The class was difficult for a while, but with a change in professors, Simon fell into confidence with the subject. With lots of help, he ended up scoring top marks on the exam.

xxxxx⇾Charms ~ {O}
Simon had always loved Charms class, since the spells worked well with nonverbal casting. He still studied hard, earning a top grade.

xxxxx⇾Defence Against the Dark Arts ~ {O}
Simon practiced Defense a lot, especially in Dueling Club. He studied with friends and learned a lot. After all his effort, he was able to duel with a fiery power. Even though the exam was tricky, he successfully passed the gauntlet.

xxxxx⇾History of Magic ~ {O}
Simon’s love of finding answers was able to blossom as the History class ramped up. He took extensive notes, which helped make studying a breeze. Thanks to his recordings, he easily aced the exam.

xxxxx⇾Transfiguration ~ {O}
Simon focused hard on Transfiguration, using its mathematical basis to expound his skill. He worked super hard, studying all kinds of time, before he finally powered through the exam with top marks.

Not surprisingly, the mathematical class worked out well for Simon. He studied with a few extra textbooks, sharing his skill with friends. All that extra work earned him a perfect grade on the exam.

xxxxx⇾Music ~ {O}
You can’t be a drummer with no rhythm. He didn’t particularly need to go out of his way to study, though all those extra jam-sessions at Music Club certainly helped.

xxxxx⇾Study of Ancient Runes ~ {O}
Runes was such a fascinating class, one that Simon could happily connect over to his love of history. He liked learning all the meanings and translations for everything.

xxxxx⇾Wandless Magic Practice ~ {O}
Wandless plus Nonverbal magic seemed to pair well for Simon. He practiced a bunch of the spells in Dueling Club, and managed to majorly boost his skills. During the exam, Simon didn’t need his wand to hold his own in the duel with the proctor.

xxxxx⇾Wizard Law ~ {O}
Even though Simon’s favorite teacher left the school, he studied hard and did his best. He got lots of advice from his dad and granddad, both of whom worked in the legal field. Even though he struggled to find his words, he was still able to ace the exam.



*Petition for Grades: Simon studies a lot. In fact, he loves studying. He's figured out ways to connect all the classes so he can study multiple at once. He also worked with friends to share their skills, and spent a lot of time making sure he got everything taken care of. Not to mention he likes most of the professors, and had no issues going to them for any assistance.
