You’d never guess Tami is a librarian by her hearty, booming laugh and voice– Tami is always the life of the party, and always has a swashbuckling story or tall tale to tell. She knows what to say to get a reaction, specifically one of joy.

xxxxx⇾Lᴏᴠɪɴɢ:
Never has there ever been a person or creature that Tamra didn't love. She enjoys being in the company of other people, animals, or heck, even plants. She's always had strong ties to family, lineage, and love.

xxxxx⇾Rᴇsɪʟɪᴇɴᴛ:
If Tami learned anything from school, it was that anyone can do anything. Her motto is– “With a will there is a way”. She set her mind to her studies, and managed to graduate with honors despite her abyssal CAT assessment after all, and she has gone on a bunch of vicarious adventures through her friends.

xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ:
Tami makes friends easily and wherever she goes – she gets many of her stories from these friends, and prides herself on having friends around the world in many careers and states in life.

xxxxx⇾Cᴀʀɪɴɢ:
Tamra has a big heart that she wears on her sleeve. She's very open about caring for everyone around, making sure everyone else's needs are met before her own. This also sometimes results in being unable to say no.

xxxxx⇾Tʜᴇᴀᴛʀɪᴄᴀʟ:
Tamra has always been over the top, wild, and bright. This results in her being super dramatic and showy. She loves putting a smile on peoples' faces, often with her crazy antics.

xxxxx⇾Rain and fog. After 6 years of Lynx Hall’s cold winters, Tamra found she preferred a cool foggy home to sweltering heat. There had to be a reason she moved to a rainy country!

xxxxx⇾Real stories with unhappy endings. As much as she enjoys the thought-provoking nature of dystopias and horrors, she is comforted by how they are fiction. “Fiction isn’t scary. It’s not real. Real life is scary.””
xxxxx⇾Bird poop. You know what ruins a perfectly spooky outfit? Bird urea.
xxxxx⇾Heat– As a first year, Tamra hated Lynx “Freezer” Hall and a draft would sent icicles up her spine. But over the years, she also found that her hall had the best hot chocolates, the fluffiest cushions, and the warmest camaraderie. Plus you could always put on another cute sweater! But in summer, there’s only so much clothes you can take off. Bah!

xxxxx⇾Pride – Tamra’s stories do sometimes go too far with her embellishments? This isn’t really what I wanted for this. I mean pride because here we have a strong, resilient lass who obviously isn’t afraid to lean on her brothers. But there’s a recklessness or kind of untouchable confidence that underlies the “With there’s a will there’s a way” determination. Not a bad thing at first glance (only good things at first glance!) But I’m trying to express further behind it as a good thing that can be taken a little too far. I guess this is better phrased “Stubborn and won’t stop pushing”.

Tamra Chantal Forne was the youngest and only magical child in her generation– her four older brothers were all squibs, a fact that only seemed to confirm their family’s superstition that magic in their family passes only from one female to the next.
Growing up in New Jersey, USA, the Forne family cultivated an aesthetic of mystery and creepiness, but were actually quite open and friendly. Her four brothers– Tucker, Tolliver, Tiergan, and Teddy– exemplified the gothic styles and interests of the family, even if they weren’t magical, and even if they were all secret softies in some way.
Family passes magic from one female to the next. Every boy in the line has turned out to be a squib. Surrounded by mystery. They are related to one of the witches from the Salem witch trials. Now they’re a cool occult goth fam.

It wasn’t until Tami was literally on her way to Salem Institute that she realized she was about to be separated from her older brothers for the next six years. She was awkward and uncomfortable without Tucker’s loud introductions, and missed Teddy’s reassuring hugs. She hated the cold in Lynx Hall, and ended up spending more time in Crow Hall, which much better fit her aesthetic and tastes. Worse yet, her nerves got the best of her and she completely bombed her Compulsatory Assessment Test, which lead Tamra to think poorly of her own abilities, magical or otherwise. She even somehow messed up her elective assessments! Maybe she was also a squib. She just wanted to go home and escape to her fantasy books again.

Hearing her struggles at school, all of her brothers went to bat for her. Tolliver read through all of her textbooks with her, teaching her how to think through occult theory. Teddy volunteered to practice magic with her, going over the movements and making dramatic sound effects as she practiced. And Tiergan made sure she had fun through it all, making sure she remembered that she was loved no matter how she did on some test, and that she could do anything. The real battle, though, began when Tamra returned to Salem Institute. Encouraged by her brothers’ encouraging notes and their summer “boot camp”, Tamra set her sights on improving her grades and rebuilding her self-confidence.

Tamra worked hard. Gradually, she learned–not only her school subjects, but also about herself and about how to learn. And even though she spent much of her time studying in the library, that didn’t mean she forgot about her social life. In her fourth year, she was recruited for the Salem Sentinel by Professor Garcia, who recognized her hard work and ability to naturally build rapport with just about anyone. In her fifth and sixth years, Tamra was also elected by her peers to the Student Council, where she served as treasurer both years.

Inspired by her experiences with the Salem Sentinel, Tamra was excited to travel after graduation. She went on a round-the-world trip, working as she went, learning about other magical communities and documenting all of her travels. She made plenty of friends along the way, and to this day continues to exchange letters with many of them.

Along the journey, she met and fell in love. Five years later, she got her heart broken and went home. In the months following, she made some terrible decisions that left her traumatized and pregnant. With her brothers’ help, she raised her daughter, Madeline Antonia Forne, and settled into life as Professor of # at Salem Institute.

Madeline graduated and took on a career as an equestrian trainer, caring for and training magical creatures while continuing riding professionally. While overseas attending a summit on magical creatures, Madeline fell in love with one Sebastien Saent Ivory. They made a relationship work across an ocean for two years before Madeline moved to Yorkshire to be with him. They had a young daughter early in their life, Salem Alexandra.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck only a few years into young Salem's life. Madeline fell ill and passed away, her husband, stricken by grief was unable to bear to live. With no one else to care for the child, Tami moved to London to help raise Salem.

With Salem starting at Hogwarts, Tami also resumed her career, this time opting to be a librarian, where she figured she could better interact with students and help them study, not just for #whatever subject she taught. She remains in contact with her brothers and cadre of friends around the world.

Tamra spent lots of time helping kids study. Most of her job, she felt, was cleaning up messes and reading books whenever possible. Salem spent lots of time in the library, which Tamra quite enjoyed.
