Patzi was in shambles. The playful wind hybrid had been busy chasing clouds despite the threatening heaviness of the looming storm, the adventurous spirit knowing nothing of fear…until today. She wanted to test her limits and see how many clouds she could outmaneuver in the air and truly despised the idea of giving up her freedom just to hunker down because of some rain. So what if a little rain shower happened? Even if her familiar was yelling towards her from below, the orange fox like creature chasing after her as she darted through some trees with a laugh. “Erramun you’re too tense! It’s just another late summer rain!” She had teased before the skies suddenly turned pitch black, the storm suddenly rising to the challenge from the wind hybrid and striking hard and fast. The next thing Patzi saw was a tree thudding towards the ground, the great oak screaming in agony after lightning scorched its base setting the limbs on fire. At first she was thinking of avoiding it but the sight of Erramun below gripped the pony with fear and she found herself diving hard and fast so that she could block one of the falling limbs from hitting her dear friend.
It was one thing to play around and another thing to lose a friend!
She had blacked out after that, intense pain making her wings feel like they were on fire. Patzi wasn’t certain how long she was out for, but when she stirred the world was blurry and one of her wings wasn’t moving properly. “No, no, no!” She gasped as she tried to wiggle free from the limb that had knocked her down, the heavy branch pinning down her right wing and twisting it in an unfamiliar way. Terror griped at her heart when she saw it. Would she not be able to fly now? What was going to happen to her and where was Erramun? Had she lost him to the storm after all?!
Erramun was in a tizzy. After trying to warn his friend about the impending storm, the playful antics frustrating him quickly turned to worry after the storm swept down upon them and nearly took his own life. Now Patzi was hurt and he couldn’t do anything! He had tried dragging the limb away from her but it was really heavy and he wasn’t a medic. A whine left his throat before he noticed a Kalonageni coming their way. Normally Erramun would have been on guard against the stranger, but this time he was desperate and could not think of anything other than to run up to the stallion to plead for help. “My friend. She’s hurt! Can you help?” He cried with wide eyes as he tried to point out the direction of the fallen tree where Patzi was trapped.

Kimya wasn’t used to being approached by anyone, let alone someone asking for help. When he first came upon the trapped mare the stallion’s reservations doubled inside of his soul, but the desperate wolf caused him to take a few steps back. His wings flared up a bit, eyes wide and fearful; though, not of the scene infront of him.
It was the words inside of his head that truly scared Kimya. The words of his mother, slinking in around his brain, urging him to finish the job. He could easily kill her now that she was pinned and feast on her flesh –
No! No no no no. He wouldn’t! Not again!
He just…he just needed to be stronger than this, right? She needed help and he…Spirits, he was terrified.
Looking back to the wolf, Kimya nodded his head slowly and folded his wings back against his body. As he came closer he took stock of the situation. First things first; he needed to get the branch off her wing. Dipping his head down, Kimya angled his head and neck underneath to lift it up. With any luck she would take the hint and if not he would toss it to the side.

Sabra Knight
Kimya shook his head and frowned before saying the word, “Brace.” In a garbled mess of a voice. It was barely above a whisper, as if his speech were being pulled through a valley of blades and the act itself caused him pain. Where had he even gotten barrier…? Doesn’t matter.
While the wolf was gone Kimya started organizing his things and shifted a bit so he could better assess the wing. Now that he was closer he was a little surprised. It looked a mess, had to hurt like hell, but honestly it didn’t look as bad as he thought. With the proper treatment it should heal just fine.
When sticks were brought back, Kimya shifted some around with a wing, brushing the smaller ones to the side while looking for the larger ones. Before he got to work on the wing, he looked at them both and with much effort managed to make out the words, “One moon.” This time they weren’t even a whisper so much an exhalation of air that still didn’t come out quiet right. He didn’t have a lisp, but the injuries that still scared his throat stunted them.
And with that said, he started to brace the wing. Once finished it would be bandaged tight, and while able to move some would hopefully stay closed so that it could heal. Of course, that depended on whether or not the prey would listen to…him…
You did it again.
And so he did.
