Sub, Larrimore, and the other Snagems stared down the Ultra Wormhole before them, ready for whatever may come through. Sub wasn't surprised to see the others show up, almost expected it, however he was glad they were here. Before when Stakataka showed up he was most unprepared as was everyone else and while it seemed almost impossible to prepare to face these things he felt more comfortable going into the fight to come than before. At least now they had more firepower.
Anticipating some sort of monster to come storming out they had positioned themselves a far bit away from the wormhole, in case whatever showed up was even bigger than that Stakataka or the black thing that Cera transformed into back in Galar, which was confirmed to look like another Ultra Beast. Without any kind of progression, as if someone just flipped a switch, a strange noise began to emit from the portal, it sounded like some sort of string instrument but distorted. "Here it comes." Sub declared, he could feel it in his gut as his arm hairs stood on end, he would release Monstressor the Tyranitar in preparation. Larrimore would brace himself, releasing Chesnaught himself.
Louder the noise got, brighter the light from the wormhole got, there was every indication that things were escalating rapidly as it heralded the arrival of the invader. Before long the noise was ear ringing and the light blinding until it all disappeared at once. The hole was still there, however greatly diminished in size, probably two feet in diameter. For a brief moment Sub was confused, where was the Ultra Beast? Why was the wormhole so small now? And what was that little white and red thing floating in front of it?
"カミツルギ !" Cried the tiny foot tall thing in front of the wormhole. Without further warning it flew through the air straight towards Monstressor, Sub noting its path instantly and gave out a command. "Stone Edge! Shield yourself!" He ordered, the Tyranitar stomping on the ground to conjure up one very large rock spike in front of it, big enough to block view of the Tyranitar from the other side. The strange creature would throw out one of its 'arms', the small thing appendage giving off a brief white glow before it Cut right through Tyranitar's stalagmite in its path before coming upon the Rock Pokemon itself and delivered another Cut with its other 'arm', Monstressor letting out a pained cry as it stumbled and clutched the visible cut on its chest.
"Dear Darkrai! Was that a freakin' Cut move!? And is that the Ultra Beast!?" Sub shouted in utter disbelief as he just watched a one foot tall origami looking creature cut through rock with a Cut move and even visibly damage his Tyranitar. It sure was a rollercoaster ride to go from a giant living tower to facing something no bigger than a Caterpie, heck it probably weighed less than one. "I don't understand any of this but I guess that's the Ultra Beast. Watch out for its...blades? I don't know what those are. Hit it with everything you got! Monstressor, use Stone Edge again! Send the shards!" He ordered, his Tyranitar stomping the ground to knock small shards of rock up from the ground and then proceeded to smack his tail into them to send them flying at the tiny invader.
"Chesnaught, Pin Missile and don't let up." Larrimore ordered, also taking the 'overwhelm it with many projectiles' approach as Chesnaught hunched over and unleashed from its back spikes a flurry of Bug energy construct needles at the Ultra Beast.

Freth would rush in behind Sub. Once she arrived, she stared in confusion, expecting some massive otherworldly monster but at first, she wasn't really seeing anything at all other than the hole to Ultra Space. At least, at first in any rate. She looked at the tiny creature as it lofted in the air and...she was both confused and slightly disappointed. "...that...is the emergency?" Freth couldn't help but to ask. "That thing is smaller than Cera."
"Oh my God...do NOT get close to that thing!" The hunter shouted to Freth.
"...wha...why?"
To demonstrate the hunter's point, as Sub progressed to battle the otherworldly invader, her confusion quickly turned to shock as it not only cleaved through solid rock with a flick of its paper thin arms, its mighty slice even got the better of the Tyrannitar. "What in the hell?"
"That's why." the hunter deadpan retorted. "U.B. 04, Slash, otherwise known as Kartana. Small as they are, their bodies are extremely sharp and their light weight and super-thin frames make them highly evasive. Not to mention, by nature, they're pretty adept to the 'one shot, one kill' mentality. Their strikes are usually unleashed with near surgical precision."
"Okay, so we got a tiny B.A. here. How do we stop it?"
"Kill it with fire, usually. They're extremely vulnerable to fire." the hunter stated. "Though unfortunately in doing so, sometimes the fire updrafts usually sometimes aid them and let them loft away and go on the counteroffensive. You're going to need to figure out somehow to pin the thing down so you can get a clean burn."
"Not helped that I don't really have a fire Pokemon myself." Freth said. "Sub! We need some way to lock this thing down and burn it!"

After shielding her ears from the noise made by the Ultra Beast's entrance, Monique watched in amazement as the small creature sliced through a rock and then delivered the Tyranitar a gashing cut. For something so small, it clearly packed a major punch.
As Larrimore ordered a Pin Missile, Monique had a thought. Blades... Don't those tend to be Steel-type Pokémon? She'd already seen a Bisharp and a Doublade on her adventures, so this...thing being Steel would not be terribly surprising.
She clutched two Poké Balls, the two she most wanted to deploy: Aopua'a and Kalama. Sending them out, she had an idea to finally use them in combination.
"Aopua'a, Sunny Day, then Weather Ball! Kalama, use Flamethrower and try to char that thing without getting too close!"

Aile stared at their otherworldly visitor, visibly confused at why this thing should be taken seriously. That was, at least until it cleaved through the rock like butter and took a nice chunk out of the Tyranitar. "Uhh.... Okay then. And lock it down? I could help with that...." She grabbed a Safari Ball out and tossed it out, bringing out her sentient sand castle. "Sarlaac, Sand Tomb!"
"Palooooo!" The Palossand would wave her towers around, generating a small tornado of sand before spitting it out towards the mini origami warrior, hoping to catch it in the vortex. Maybe it could react with the fire?

Amaranth had raced in only shortly after Sub and the first few others, about as ready for a fight as she could be. Apart from having her Pokemon on her, she'd apparently arranged to have the hammer artifact with her too, brandishing it as something began to emerge from the wormhole in the labyrinth. "I'm here and ready too!" She spoke up, tightening her grip...
...and then loosening it when she saw a sentient bit of paper come out. "That's... it? I don't think we'll have much to worry about-" Then the tiny thing made a cry she didn't recognize and sliced cleanly through Monstresssor's attack and the Tyranitar themself too. "Nevermind, we have a lot to worry about! Granite?"
All at once, she moved a hand in panic to get her Carbink's ball and sent them out as the others sent their attacks and attempts to slow the beast down. "Reflect!" As soon as her Carbink was out and ready, they'd try to create a screen to buffer against whatever that beast threw next. "A-also, you said fire right? I'll get Kindle's ball ready too..."

Beau would be extremely willing to join in on the fire and burning work with the others. Really, it was one of his favorite activities. But even he could see that at this point, even more fire would only add to the flames splashing back at them more than it would aid in fighting this weird thing off. Opening up a very odd Pokeball, the Vivillon hybrid would stare at the Poliwag that was now looking up at him. "Look. Reno gave you to me because he had no trust in my fire safety. A concern that.... honestly, is very well founded. But that's not the point. I need you to try and make it hold still. Got me?" Beau explained, hoping that he could reason with the.....oddly soothing look that the Poliwag was giving him. A look that it very quickly turned towards the Kartana, attempting to put the thing into a Hypnosis-induced trance to keep it contained.

Darts arrives on the scene and a deluge of fire, steel, and sound threatens to overwhelm him as soon as he steps through. But it doesn't, as he takes a deep breath and centers himself in the overwhelming chaos. This... tiny folded piece of metal in front of them was clearly dangerous as it went about demonstrating that deadliness on Sub's Tyranitar.
Reaching back into one of his jacket pockets, the hybrid considers his option before his jacket moves on impulse, shrugging one of the Pokeballs in his arsenal up and into his hand with a click as it grows to full size. "Bagon!" He shouts, spinning the capture device out in front of him with a flick of his arm.
In a flash, the rock-headed shiny green Dragon appears. "Bag!" It acknowledges, with a chirp as it scowls down the Ultra Beast, clearly not liking the vibes coming off of the thing.
"Rock Tomb!" He orders, thrusting a single gilt finger forwards to indicate the little robo coup in front of them. The shiny Bagon channels energy within itself, before slamming its rock hard head on the ground, fissures spreading and calling up the foundation of the arena they were in to try and close in Kartana with the Fire and Ground attacks. Three slabs of rock emerge in a triangle pattern, each pressing against each other to try and hold the Ultra Beast in place. Darts didn't figure this was going to hold the thing for long given the sharpness display earlier but if they could just get it to move a certain way they could pre-predict and cut it off before it got any momentum.

Wren would arrive in the minotaur's chamber shortly after Sub, wary of what was going on at first. He'd not seen the previous instances of these "Ultra Beasts" before so he had no real idea what they were about to come into contact with. All he knew was that, in spite of the inherent dangers, he'd brought along his two remaining Shadow Pokemon and his one purified one just in case.
As the Snagems assembled and the wormhole that had formed within the Labyrinth became more apparent, he turned his focus toward it, ice blue eyes laser focused for the moment. Dropping a Nest Ball, he'd release Altissima from her ball. The Lilligant appeared and immediately began a Teetering Dance full of unpredictable or meaningless movements. Hopefully it would result in the strange little creature Wren had only just noticed as it attacked Monstressor being confused.
"It... looks like it's made of paper?" Wren noted as he observed the creature's size, movements and overall visible anatomy. It seemed to be... folding itself as he watched, as if ensuring it retained it's crisp edges after that attack.
When Freth remarked that it would likely fall to fire, he groaned inwardly. Of course a controlled burn would be the call to action here. "Good call. If it's actually made of paper, or something similar to it, it's probably a Grass-type. Which really puts me at a disadvantage here..." He added the second bit under his breath, quickly trying to assess what Pokemon he owned that would be useful against this thing. Grass-types were immune to powder and dust moves as well as Leech Seed so his options were becoming limited in regards to which Pokemon he could use. Maybe Thistle would be good option? Or possibly Anemone? Had he even brought those two? He was now scrambling to recall which of his Pokemon he'd even brought.

Overhearing Freth shout to use fire. Deo would put back his ball with the machop and then called out his charmander saying "Light em up Charmander!" As the charmander came out, he decided to light up the area that would hit this strange thing that looked like a strange combination of paper and pokemon.
All the while, Deo was thinking "Please, PLEASE, don't let this monster be a shadow"

“Burn it huh?” Sub perked up when Freth spoke, though of course he didn’t have much of a chance to take the fire route himself as his teammates immediately picked up on Freth’s advice and went about cooking this thing.
First Monique and her Castform brought the sun, the bright rays of the artificial star filling the once dark chamber and empowering the Fire moves to come. Kartana was able to avoid the Weather Ball, launching a Vacuum Wave at Castform, shattering its Weather Ball and sending the Weather Pokemon sailing. This however left it vulnerable to the Flamethrower, taking the full blast and letting out a cry of pain. Intending to retaliate as it started to dash forward it was suddenly caught up in a Sand Tomb conjured by one Palossand, the sandy twister looking huge compared to the tiny Ultra Beast.inside of it. In this moment Beau’s Poliwag used the opportunity to cast a Hypnosis upon the vulnerable alien while Wren’s Liligant dance behind it, the Kartana’s gaze instantly drawn to them, suddenly feeling a strange combination of dizziness and sleepiness, as if it were drunk.
Its sleep was interrupted by the slabs of rock that suddenly appeared from the ground and stabbed at it. Now squished between these rocks at the center of a sandy twister the ‘drunk’ Kartana was completely and utterly vulnerable, it couldn’t do anything even if it could think in this moment to do so. Now seeing his opportunity Sub was quick to recall Monstressor and immediately released his faithful hound, Edgar. “Jump in front of Charmander and hit that sand twister with a Fire Blast!” He commanded, figuring it was easier to point out the Sand Tomb rather than the super tiny thing inside that was obscured from view.
The Houndoom would leap in front of Deo’s Charmander just in time to get hit by its Fire move, the hound’s Flash Fire ability activating, a surge of flames appearing around its body. Edgar would then call upon those flames, collecting them into a ball in its maw and adding his own as it grew larger. With a bark the large ball of fire would explode towards Kartana and take on a new shape in the form of a five pronged symbol. The Fire Blast would slam into the trapped Ultra Beast and explode with devastating fiery might, destroying the sand and rock that trapped it but most certainly making up for it with how much damage it did to the paper creature.
By the time the dust and smoke settled the Snagems were presented with perhaps a surprising but pleasant surprise, considering what some of them dealt with these beasts before, the tiny little Ultra Beast was discarded on the ground, trapped under a small rock, seemingly knocked out cold, its paper body heavily charred black. A good minute went by as everyone seemed to have the same idea, to wait with bated breath to see if it was too good to be true but in fact it was true, they really defeated this thing that quick. Approaching it with Edgar Sub knelt down in front of the Kartana the poked at it a few times with his good hand before picking it up and holding the limp creature with two fingers, turning around to present it to the others.
[+5 Evo Points to all Pokemon used.]
“Yep, it’s down.” He chuckled before tossing it away. Larrimore shook his head at this display, recalling Chesnaught just as Sub recalled Edgar. “It’s nice to take one of these things down without almost dying. “Freth, tell your mental roommate I said thanks, provided they can’t hear me. I know she must have told you-” Sub’s words were cut off as the Ultra Wormhole suddenly expanded in size and a very large rock came hurtling out of it, a kind of asteroid crashing into the chamber, missing the Snagems as it impacted with the ground. However upon impact it let out an explosive amount of energy, the Snagems all thrown around and the Ultra Wormhole opening up wider. For the Snagems everything would go black…
—--
The smell of salt water would grace the nostrils of the Snagems as they came back to, the sound of the waves behind them. They would all find themselves on a quiet sandy beach, perfectly fine physically, however disoriented and needing to collect their thoughts no doubt. Looking around they would find little on this beach besides a small pier with a wooden boat tied to it and a small hut just up the beach. Besides these two signs of civilization they could see nothing else. Sub would be one of the last to come to, and Larrimore just before them. If any of the Snagems thought to check out their SNAG beforehand they would find it no use, and error being displayed on their map.
“Ugh…I…hurt.” Was all Sub could say as he came to, laying on his back on the beach, unmoving, spotting a Starly fly overhead as he stared up at the sky. “I agree.” Larrimore concurred as he sat up, now sitting on the sandy beach. His first thought was to check out his Pokeballs and confirm they were still there. That was good. “Where are we?” Larrimore said, asking the obvious question as he looked around. “Better…ow…question, what happened?” Sub retorted. "And why...do I feel like it's Reno's fault?"

He stretches a little, popping his shoulder joints a bit as he gets to his feet. "Given that wormhole 'where are we' and 'what happened' might be worse questions than we expect." He grunts, pulling out his Pokeball to recall the little shiny Bagon that had tunneled out of being buried in a sand dune next to him. "Is everyone else okay?" He asks, turning back to the rest of the group at the... wherever this beach was.

This felt a little too familiar.
Monique woke up on the sandy beach, seeing several others laid out just above the tide. This was nowhere she'd been, and GRAY was out of service.
She gently got to her feet, looking around. All she could see was a small fishing boat moored to a pier and a small hut. They had ended up somewhere remote, but not remote enough to be completely barren—an upgrade from the Aether Island wastelands, she mused.
She brought out Kalama. For a moment, it almost felt like she was patrolling the beach again. But bigger questions loomed in her head, which still ached ever so slightly. And one regret from her conversation with Crystal.
Too bad I don't have a Psychic-type.

Getting on his feet was not hard, checking his pokeballs they were all there, even the charmander. "ugh.... Where are we?" he would ask in a state of a confused and groggy stopper.

"Ugh.... Gack." Aile opened her eyes and stared at the sky, trying to remember what had happened moments before things had gone black. They had managed to deal with... whatever that paper creature was, and then a gigantic rock showed up from another one of those wormholes. And that was the last thing she could remember... "What in the nine hells?" Reno's fault, she thought to herself as she heard the leader quip, shaking her head and sitting herself up, extracting her staff from her jacket for an easier time. As soon as she stuck the staff into the sand, though, the sand itself would rise up, soon showing itself to actually be her Palossand.
"Palooo!"
"Sarlaac. You can't keep the staff like you keep that little sand shovel, you know that, right?"

Freth actually felt relieved that this ultra beast, despite putting on a show as it did initially, went down rather easily, especially after the last one just did so much damage. "Not that I am complaining, but yikes, even with the combined efforts, I didn't think that it'd go down that quickly." Freth said.
"Another thing to note about is that they are extremely frail, quite literally the embodiment of 'glass cannon'. Or I guess, paper cannon." the hunter spoke. "Do you all not have Beast Balls to capture that Kartana?"
"A what...?" Freth asked.
"A beast-..." A silence came through suddenly. Lasting for all of about three or four seconds. "You honestly don't know what a Beast Ball is do you? Or anyone here. You all didn't even know you could capture these."
"Wait, we can?" Another silence out of the hunter, though in this case, Freth was imagining the hunter burying her spectral face in her two hands. "Something I said?"
"Yes. Yes it was."
Freth perked up, when addressed by Sub but then caught off guard when the whole entire team was blindsided by some sort of object, unleashing a massive burst of energy and sending the team on a most unwelcome trip.
-----
"...th.......fr....eth.........Freth! Freth! Freth wake the hell up!"
Freth wouldn't know how long she was out...only that she found herself face down on the beach sand. The waves that churned close and the relentless yelling of the hunter jarred her awake...well, that and accidentally a breath full of sand. "ACK!" she coughed violently for a couple of seconds, feeling a bit like hell. She winced, her vision coming into focus.
"What happened!? Freth! Wake up and get it together!" the hunter spoke up.
Freth started to push herself up then started to realize she was at. A tiny island...with see as far as anyone could see. This...wasn't the labyrinth anymore. "Where...the hell are we?" Freth took out her own SNAG, receiving error messages. No SNAG network or maps or anything.
"We went through that portal, didn't we? Amateurs! All of you! There's no telling where we are right now because you let your guard down around a open portal that could have anything flying out of it! We could be anywhere now!" Freth started to look around the immediate area as everyone else was still collecting themselves from their sudden trip. "What are you doing?"
"We had to come out from somewhere, right? Where's the opening?"
"Even if it was still here, how do you intend on getting back? You don't understand that where you ended up was literally by chance! Even if by chance the portal was still open, to go back the exact path back to our reality is slim to none without guidance. The odds of finding it without any means of guidance of some kind is so outrageously low that its essentially impossible." the hunter explained. "The holes into Ultra Space are not linear. And before you ask, no, I have no idea where you are and even if I did, the problem still remains. You are for all intents a 'faller' now. Congratulations. Prepare to live here."
"Wherever here is..." Freth said, taking note to the hut on the top of the hill. Wherever this is, there is, or at least was, some sort of life. She then started to make her way to the hut, hand close to Pokeballs just in case things go awry.
