[Player's Room, Bob Barker Stage]
The PSA Begins with Vanitas and his childhood friend, Bayou inside a Stage with Doors aplenty. One of the Doors has a Dollar Sign on it.
Hello, I'm Merman Vanitas from the Mermaid Princess RP Guild Guild and this is my Little Mermaid childhood friend, Bayou, from the Same RP.

*Introduction to TPiR*
Narrator: Merry Christmas, everyone! I've got a Special Present for all of you. What you are seeing is the Centerpiece of CBS Sound Stage 33, otherwise known as The Bob Barker Set, where we'll be talking about a Classic Game that Everyone has heard of on CBS & seen which we're all familiar with... The Price is Right!

However, the Drew Carey & Bob Barker Versions are the one we all come to know and love even today. But, like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Supermarket Sweep & Press Your Luck, there were other versions that Set the Stage to create the Version we all come to know and love. So before we get TOO Far ahead, we'll set the stage for this one...

*Price is Right Version 2: New 1972*
Narrator: The New Price is Right which arrived on 1972 was a complete departure from the auction house. The Residing Host was the Living Legend himself, the Late Bob Barker, and the announcer was Johnny Olsen.
Why was it called The New Price is Right?
In the Pyramid Rules of the Game PSA earlier, I mentioned the New $25,000 Pyramid and it was the same reason, to avoid confusion.
While at first, it was Half Hour Show, it started with Contestants Row which had items for bid. However, the items were petty small then grew to larger values in later versions. The Big Money Prizes were played for in the New Pricing Games.
Each one had something to do with pricing an item or guessing a higher or lower value than the set price.

*Price is Right Version 2: Pricing Games*
Narrator: Each of the Pricing Games came in all shapes and sizes. While some of them were famous ones such as Clock Game, Plinko, Any Number, 3 Strikes, Shell Game & Lucky 7, just to name a few since they can be seen today. More on this Later.

*Price is Right Version 2: Showcases*
Narrator: The top 2 winners would proceed to the Showcase Round. This was played like Contestants Row in a way but with Much Higher Values involved. I mean, there was thousands of Prizes offered. In addition, a rule changed was introduced later where it was the Double Showcase. If a player not only won the game but came within $100 to $250 of their Original Showcase, that player wins BOTH Showcases since getting a bid that comes close or cutting it close is REALLY Hard. This was how the game was played for a few years until 1975 where the show was Extended to one hour... The Narrator said to the Merman and his childhood friend.

*Price is Right Version 2: Showcase Showdowns*
Narrator: The reason being was to add something at the midway point of the show to even the playing field and decide which players went to the Showcase. This of course raised the Rounds 3 to 6 in some ways, I think.
This was the Showcase Showdown or Big Wheel.

When it was first introduced, it was a Carnival Rainbow Wheel as it was a sign of what was yet to come being one of the most Recognized Rounds. The Rules were simple enough...
The 3 Players with the Highest Scores from the First Half of the Show would spin the Wheel & get as close to $1 as possible. The Wheel's spaces are broken into increasing 5 Cent Values but NOT in ascending order as that would be too HARD or too EASY. The players had the option of keeping what that had spun on their first spin or add to it with the second spin. The Second Spin having a Risk Factor however, if that Player went over $1, that player was finished.
The Rainbow Wheel didn't last too long as the next version was The Big Wheel... There was a Bonus Rule though that I forgot to mention...
Should a Player land on $1 on the First Spin or Combination of 2 Spins that add up to $1, that player gets an extra $1,000.
Introduced later on was the Bonus Spin, as the goal was to land on the $1 or the Green 5 Cents or Green 15 Cents. Should a player land on either one, that player gets an additional $10,000 or $5,000.
The Showcase Showdown became a staple of the show and factor for the Showcase up to today.
The Narrator said to the Merman and his childhood friend.

*Price is Right Version 3: Passing the Announcer & Host Torches*
That sounds like fun, guppy. The Price is Right did have some changes along the way... such as Bob Barker's hair from brown to grey in one episode. Other tough call was when announcer Johnny Olsen passed and left the announcer space open for Rod Rodney to take over.
Bob Barker kept the show from changing TOO Much as well as it worked for the most part up to the 2000s. However, Rod Rodney passed in 2003 leaving Rich Fields to take over as announcer.

Finally, the biggest change happened after over 35 years, Bob Barker stepped down as the Host, as October 2007 was his Final Episode hosting and Bob Barker gave a farewell after the Showcase.

Interns came and go as the Host then Drew Carry took over as the New Host and made the show like a home away from home & its likely that we'll enjoy the most popular game for years to come...

Narrator: Looks like it... There's more to talk about the Price is Right. But I think I may take a break for now.

Guppy, sounds like he looks tired this evening. Sounds like this is going to be a Long Rules of the Game PSA. Van said to Bayou since this could be a 2-Part PSA.

*Part 2*
*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Any Number*
Guppy, since the Narrator's having a tiring time at the moment. It falls on me to do the rest of this PSA...
I suppose I should talk about the Pricing Games. One of these games would be played after a Player wins at Contestants Row.

The First Pricing Game used was called Any Number. In this game, the player is shown 2 Prizes, one Minor & one Major Prize.
The Any Number Board has 3 Section for Numbers 0-9..
= Major Prize
= Minor Prize
= Pocket Change
These numbers appear through all 3 items only once. The Pocket Change is what the player should look out for as its a way to lose Any Number.
Players call out what numbers they wanted in hopes of revealing the price of the Major Prize before anything else because the First Price that's revealed is what the Player wins either the Major Prize, Minor Prize or Pocket Change.

The Design for Any Number went through redesigns but the game was played the same way as there was one change that happened in 1986 which had a 5-Digit Prize Value for the Car. I forgot to mention that the First Digit in the Major Prize is always revealed before Gameplay while the copy of that digit also appears on the board should the player call it. After that, it was the Same Any Number as it stood for over 39 Years being the Oldest Pricing Game.
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Bullseye Single Classic Versions 1-2/Clock Game*
The next game was called Bullseye. This was played for a Major Prize as well. Here, the player would need to guess the exact retail price & had 7 guesses in which to do so as the only hint that about the guess that should be higher or lover after every guess.

Version 2 of Classic Bullseye had 2 Players. The first player would win their way on stage then the second player would do the same after the next item for bids on Contestant's Row.
At that point players would go back and forth until one of them got it right. Now why would they do something like this? Well, they made a Pricing Game that succeeds Bullseye called Clock Game which was played the same as Bullseye but more harder where the player had to guess BOTH Prices of the prizes until the Clock Game ran down.
The Prizes used here were cheap. So they added a $1,000 Bonus for both Daytime & Nighttime Versions. Other Bonuses included $5,000 and even a $1 Million Bonus that would be should a player guess BOTH Prices Under 10 Seconds.
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Lucky Seven*
Next up is Lucky Seven. Players would guess each digit of the Major Prize's Value in sequence. The name comes from the $7 that the Host gives the player at the start of the game and after the first Number is shown. The catch is that the player must have at least $1 remaining to win, meaning they spend $6 to guess its value. When a player guesses a Digit and missed, that player gives up as many dollars as that digit. So if they guessed a $3 and the digit was a 7, that player loses $4 or something but its complicated to say the least... Van said to Bayou & the viewers

[Player's Room, Bob Barker Stage]
*Part 2*
*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Shell Game*
Next up is Shell Game. In Shell Game, players would guess under which shell was a ball pit ball. To earn chips, they would need to guess if the set price was higher or lower of the minor prize's display price as there's 4 total. Which means, there's a possibility of a Flawless Victory along with a $500 Bonus should the player guess correctly to earn the Prize Value too. Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Cliffhangers*
This one can make you laugh. It's called Cliffhangers. As its known for its other reason besides gameplay. In this game, players are shown 3 items & need to guess the price of each item but here's the fun part...
The amount the price is missed by would show how many steps the hiker takes up the mountain as he can take up to 25 Steps before falling off which results in a loss. When the hiker is moved up the mountain, a catchy tune would play that's fun to listen to.
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Range Game*
Next is Range Game...
This is a simple one, players are shown a Major Prize and are asked to guess the range that the prize falls under using the Range Finder. On the Finder is a value of Prices in ascending order. The Red finder part shows a $50 Range of Prices. This was changed to $100 then $150 as the Red Range Finder would go up and down until the player stops its movement and if that player is within the price range of the Range Finder, the player wins.
Range Game is renowned by a line Spoken by Bob Barker which he mentioned that once the Range Finder has been stopped, it can't be restarted but he also quoted this...
"Press this button here... But don't press it until you DO want to stop it. Because we can't start for how long, audience? ...37 Hours."
That sounded like funny joke in a way but it takes a minute to see what the price is...
Vanitas chuckled.

*Price is Right: Pricing Games Part 2 - Plinko*
However, doing all the Pricing Games would take TOO Long so one more would be good...
The Last one we can do is Plinko.
This is the most famous Pricing Game of all. This is a bit tricky but fun. Players start with one Plinko Chip for free then have a shot to earn 4 more. The player is shown 4 different items below $100 as there's a 2-digit price where the player is asked if the first or second digit of the price of the item is correct. Should the player guess correctly, that player gets a Plinko Chip.
Afterwards, the player would take to the Plinko board which is a peg board and at the bottom is how much the player would win with that Plinko Chip.
This Ranged from 0, $100, $500, 1,000 & $5,000,
next came from 0 to $10,000 and finally,
0 to $20,000.
So it's possible for the player to win $25,000, $50,000 or even $100,000 per show should the player land dead center on the $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 Slots since it hasn't happened as of yet & furthermore, no one has ever lost this game either.
One last thing & its a rare occurrence... Its possible for a Plinko Chip to get stuck and balance on one of the pegs. If that happens, the host will knock the Plinko Chip off with the Plinko Stick and it doesn't count, resulting in a Retry.
Vanitas said to Bayou and the viewers as he talked about the Pricing Games.

[Player's Room, Bob Barker Stage]
*Part 2*
*Price is Right: Nighttime Version 1-3*
During the Daytime Version's Success, there were Revisions, Revisits and other Versions of The Price is Right that happened.
When The New Price is Right Started, a Nighttime Version was launched as well where Dennis James was the Residing Host. This First Version was the same as the Daytime Version hosted by Bob Barker until March 1980 when all focus was on the Daytime Version.
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Nighttime Version 2-3*
In September 1985, CBS took another shot at the Syndication Version of the Price is Right, this time, Thomas Kennedy was the Residing Host.
However, it was ALSO the same as the Daytime Version. But they also introduced a Bonus $500 for a Perfect Bid on Contestant's Row. Version 2 only lasted until May 1986. One thing to note is that they were 30 Minutes Long until one last shot at the Syndication Version was given...
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

*Price is Right: Nighttime Version 3-3 - All New Price is Right 1994*
On September 1994, The All New Price is Right arrived with Doug Davidson as the Residing Host. One thing to note is the whoever was called down would be on stage directly. This version had the same Pricing Games as the Daytime Version but there was no turntable set & that being the case, the pricing games were played on the stage floor in front of the prize doors. There was a Showcase Showdown but it was called "The Price Was Right".
3 Players with the most earnings would be shown a vintage clip of a commercial then bid as close as possible to the retail price without going over at the time that commercial was aired. The Problem was only a small scale of vintage advertisments were found, so when one was unable to be shown, a standard wheel was used.
The winning player would advance to the Showcase which was Range Game. This Final Nighttime Syndication Version of The Price is Right lasted for 80 Episodes until January 1995.
Van said to Bayou & the viewers

The Narrator returned after a brief absence
Narrator: Thank you both. I'll handle the rest...

*Overall: Price is Right Daytime & Nighttime*
Narrator: Overall, the All New Price of Right hasn't been seen on TV since 1995 and its Nighttime Versions that came with it all look really nice too and its Daytime Version stood the time pretty well. Hopefully, it'll continue to air on TV even in the Present.
So bringing back The All New Price is Right 1994 as an OOC Game would sound like fun and it would play out as a complete show as seen on TV being the Daytime Version where the Game ends after the Showcase Showdown or Showcase.

So for an OOC Game of The Price is Right, some elements from Both Verisons would be used along with the 1994 All New Price is Right Set and it would work the same way as the Daytime Version which contains...
= Contestant's Row (3 Rounds)
= Pricing Game
= Showcase Showdown
= Showcase
Since the All New Price is Right looks really nice as it reminds me of a Cartoon Network show that had a set like The All New Price is Right 1994 Version. It could have been a "2 Stupid Dogs" Episode but I forget as I don't remember.

Bayou, that sounds like a lot of fun to see The All New Price is Right 1994 return as an OOC Game after 27 Years. Vanitas said to Bayou.

Narrator: You bet! Sounds like another... "While careers have made comebacks!" The Narrator said to Bayou and Vanitas.
