Cernunnos had spent much of the time since Grendel’s visit reorganizing the armory. He wasn’t sure exactly whar has happened but he knew the Spear was gone. And that could mean any number of things. He had felt it. An explosion of energy in the distance and the world had shifted slightly. This did not bode well he was sure. Standing back from a case he had recently repaired the damage off he crossed his arms over his broad chest. A frown on his lips as he scrutinized the work he had done to the glass. Markings etched meticulously into it’s surface. It was a cage in a sense to contain the weapon within. A sword with a black blade and a dragon’s claw pommel that held a dark red jewel that swirled with magic within. There was a reason for this place. Not only to contain what he and the holy smiths here crafted but to contain any number of weapons that wreaked havoc on the world of Faetasia. It was his duity, besides serving his lady, to protect them and the world from them. He had failed with the spear. But what he could remember of it, it had just appeared one day. Having assumed one of the smiths had made it and placed it the Angelique had inquired about it. When none of them knew of it’s origin is when he encased it in the special case. After that day everything was a blur. Cernunnos had lost time.

Grendel didn't waste any time once he got it into his head that maybe, maybe, he would be able to fix all of this. He didn't need to prepare himself, he was just simply gone, from his temple and straight to that of the Holykats...or at least, back to their armory, where he had run into Cernunnos before. There might have been a faint crackle of darkness in the air around him when he landed, and he instantly, again, felt that oh so *holy* sensation that made him feel sick to his stomach, but he pushed past it.
This was too important.
"Cernunnos!" He called out, voice booming, as he stood outside the armory, gaze as dark as his mood.

Grendel watched the Angelique with narrowed eyes, scrutinizing his every movement, searching for any sign that he might not be himself again. It was only because of this that he noticed the twitch in his eye, though it was nearly imperceivable.
Grendel barked out a laugh. "Guess you shouldn't have been so weak-willed, then. Maybe you wouldn't have been possessed to begin with.." It was clear he was not in the mood to be ******** with more than he already had been, and that flare of anger that had gotten him into this mess was rearing its ugly head.
He listened while Cernunnos explained who Brood actually was. If the God was surprised to learn she was a daughter of Chaos, he didn't let it show. He had had plenty of time to reflect on what had happened, and it had become clear that she was much more powerful than he was.
And now he knew why. The fact that she had targetted him, however, still made him want to grind his teeth. He still had trouble believing that it was purely out of boredom. Besides that, if she was the Goddess of all things darkness, why would she torment a domain that fell under her own?
He stopped fiddling with the spear to hold it steady, digging the butt of it into the ground by his feet. He continued to listen, as Cernunnos got to the information he truly wanted at that moment. To know whether or not Ravnos could be brought back.
Nearly impossible. Nearly. All other things Cernunnos said aside, things he did not at the moment want to contemplate, he focused on that.
"But not entirely impossible to reach? So if someone had been ripped from this plane accidentally, if everything you say has happened, how do I get them back?"

"Of course, it is worth it." He practically spat the words, his eyes narrowed in a glare. "If it were not, I would not be standing here, asking you how to fix it."
No. He'd rather avoid the Holykats altogether if he could.
He paused, lips pursed together. So, there was hope that he could get Ravnos back. The cold pain that had engulfed him these past weeks, while still present, felt somehow less permanent, like there actually could be an end to it. There were still hurdles to jump, of course, but the God was determined.
He would have Dracian returned. His Dracian.
"The Spear is currently dormant. Will I need to find a way to wake it up again or will it just...happen when it happens?"

At the Angelique's words, Grendel stood up a little straighter, a little taller, because if anybody at all had the will to make this happen, it was him. He would stake his entire existence on it. He would not give up on getting back what he had lost unless it absolutely destroyed him to do so.
And if he ended up trapped in that other plain of existence? So be it. He was willing to give up everything, at this point, if only to see Ravnos's face one last time, and tell him how sorry he was for what had happened. If he could do even just that, it would all be worth it.
Unconsciously, his thumb ran along the smooth, golden metal of a ring adorning one of his fingers, the only physical reminder he possessed that proved Ravnos's existence.
Feeling as though he had already made the mistake once of acting too hastily without fully knowing the risks, he felt he needed to ask. "Is there anything else? Anything at all you can tell me that will help repair the damage that I've done?"
