Razormouth was partially submerged in a body of water, lounging with his eyes half closed, his head from the nose up visible within the reeds he was chilling in. His long, finned tail made lazy motions under the water to both keep him in the spot he was in and to keep him somewhat above the waters surface. He lifts his head out of the water enough to let out a yawn that showed off a mouth filled with razor sharp teeth before he subermged himself once again, eyes half-closed in lazy bliss. Razormouth, or Razor as his mother affectionately called him, was happiest in the water, where he sometimes enjoyed sneaking up silently under the water on unsuspecting faes and scaring the bajeezus out of them.

It had been a long day.

The very red demon approached the water with her child in tow, a small male demon toddler who had been running her off her feet since the sun had risen that morning. She wasn't sure what had possessed her to have yet another child, so many years after she'd had her first with Nab. If she'd really thought about it, she might have realized it was because she had been lonely, and had given in to desire the moment a new, very handsome demon boy had looked her way. She had not seen her other son, Dydrius, in such a long time, or his father for that matter, or even their other child.

Ya. Seussi had been lonely, and that loneliness had led to some questionable decision-making.

Luckily for her, it was nearly her son's nap time, and she was trying to find a nice, quiet place to settle him down. The area near the water looked peaceful enough, so that's where they went, finding a nice cool place in the tall grass where a few stones, large and small, were strewn about. Settling him down, she patted his forehead and rose, gaze roaming the area and landing on the water. It just looked so cool and inviting, not that the heat really bothered her. But wouldn't a relaxing swim be nice after such a long day?

She made sure her son was truly asleep and dead to the world before she made her way down to the water's edge, sitting down there and first submerging her feet with a sigh, her eyes closing as she tilted her head back to catch the rays of sunshine overhead.

Razormouth's mismatched eyes flick open as he senses the presence of another nearby. He watches the red female as she sets a bundle, something small, near some rocks nearby, then makes her way to the waters edge. He smirks and makes his way closer in the water, attempting to be as silent and stealthy as he can. He eventually gets to a large gathering of reeds growing at the waters edge near where the red female sat with her feet in the water. He thinks for a moment, then attempts to swim closer still, sloooooooowly reaching out towards one of her feet with the intent to startle her.

The feel of the cool water on her toes was blissful after a long day of trudging around. Humming to herself, she kicked her feet back and forth slowly, enjoying how the water felt as it swirled and bubbled around her ankles. She definitely was not paying attention to anything going on around her at the moment, eyes still closed and head still tilted back.

Therefore, she completely missed any movement in the water that might have given the shark-like demon away. It wasn't until she felt something grabbing at her foot that her eyes flew open, and she kicked out with both feet, splashing water everywhere, on herself and all around, with an angry yet startled tone in her voice when she cried out.

"What the actual <********>!"

Razormouth felt his mouth widen into the biggest, shark tooth filled grin imaginable at the startled, yet angry voice coming from the red female as she kicked out. He tugs sharply once on the foot she was flailing, then lets go suddenly, scooting back and sitting up in the water, mischief oozing out of every pore as he watched for what her further actions might be.

"Oooooo, you said a bad word!" He sing-songs gleefully from where he was in the water.

Her hackles had raised, but she looked a bit silly given that she had managed to get herself quite wet in all of her kicking around. Her lip was pulled back from her teeth in a snarl as her red eyes, practically glowing with startling rage, glared at whatever was lurking within the water.

She had pulled her feet back out as soon as she was able and scooted back from the waters edge just a hair, tucking them in behind her.

Ah. So that's what had grabbed at her. Her narrowed eyes narrowed more and she gnashed her own teeth in response.

"I'll give you more than just a bad word, fish-face. Why not get up here on dry land and try to ******** with me, huh?" She rose up, hands clenching into fists, the wings on her head flaring menacingly.

Razormouth watches gleefully from the water still as the red female finally retreats a bit and glares at him menacingly. At her invitation to join her on land, Razormouth tilts his head slightly, almost as if he were truly pondering accepting the invite, then cackles slightly, leaning back in the water and smacking the surface of it harshly with his tail, sending more water splashing in her direction.

"Nah, I think I'm doing just fine here. Why don't you come in after me?" He taunts, watching her for her response.

She looked at all those sharp, pointed teeth and the ease with which Mr. Sharkboy was able to move around in the water and she sneered.

"Ya, no. ******** that." She stated. She might have a fiery temper that got her into trouble from time to time, but she wasn't completely idiotic. If she went into the water to fight him, he would have had a much greater advantage, and she would probably end up drowned.

So, she stooped down, grabbed a rock, and threw it as hard as she could at his stupid grinning head instead.

Razormouth saw the incoming rock and attempted to duck under the water to avoid it. He was, however, not completely successful and the rock hit him right across the top of his head, leaving a nasty little wound that he would have to deal with later. Popping back up from under the water, he scowls at the red female on the shore, debating for a moment before rushing as fast as he could towards the other, hoping the sudden charge would make her trip backwards or something. He wasn't quite willing to quite playing with the other, but he did not approve of being pelted with rocks.

Ha! Success! In Seussi's mind, they were now even. She chose to pay no mind to the fact that his only crime at that point was to grab her foot and startle her. He hadn't actually hurt her in any way. However, they were demons, and she had come to expect a certain level of animosity and, usually, violence from others like them.

Why should this guy be any different?

When he scowled at her she flipped him the bird and glared in response, fighting the urge to stick her tongue out at him like a petulant child.

When he charged, it was unexpected, but she did not step backward. Her instincts had always been more fight than flight, even more so now that she had her own young child to look after, and her fur bristled as she actually took a step forward.

But then her thoughts went to her sleeping baby nearby, and while normally she would have been more than willing to throw down, she did not want to end up getting hurt to the point of not being able to look after him...and among demon kind, those things tended to happen often.

"Oh, settle down." She said, rolling her eyes, her arms crossing over her chest as she tried to stare him down. "It's barely even a scratch." She was referring to the cut on his head.

He grumbles and hisses at her off-hand remark that it was just a scratch, finally getting close enough to the land to stand up and cross his own arms over his chest, glaring. "You are unhurt. This is not fair." He motions to the injury on his head, then shakes a finger at her. "I should be allowed to give one non-life threatening injury to you as well. Especially considering what I did, did no harm other than to spook you." His shark like tail sways behind him as he frowns and taps his claws against his arm, waiting for her response. He was sure she was going to tell him to ******** off.

His assumption was correct. She had been hurt enough in her time, with various spats against both lovers and enemies alike. Today, she found, she was in no mood to be trifled with, and she definitely was not going to agree to sustaining an injury just because some fish demon demanded compensation for a little boo-boo on his noggin. <******** off." She said.

Just as he had expected she would.

Razormouth felt a snarl pull at his face at her reponse, then shakes his head, tsking before backing away from her and into the water. "Tch... Then I suppose we are done here." He'd learned the hard way from his own mother that females fight dirty and he wasn't about to try anything further with this female he didn't know. He was back to being mostly submerged in the water, just staring at Seussi from where he now lurked once again.

She was slightly surprised that he didn't come out to try and hurt her anyways. Most demons she'd encountered in the past would have. She wasn't worried about it or anything, however. She knew she could hold her own.

He went back into the water, and she watched curiously. He was unlike any other demon she'd ever seen before.

Despite feeling like she knew better, that demons could be manipulative and tricky, she was starting to feel just a little badly about her behaviour. He hadn't done anything to actually hurt her so far.

She moved a little closer and hunkered down, wrapping her arms around her knees.

"You're just a young one, aren't you?" She asked, eyeing him from where she crouched.

Razormouth felt the fur on his body puff up at her words, thinking she was poking fun at him, and hisses briefly before relaxing his posture slightly when she hunkered down and wrapped her arms around her knees. He frowns, blinking at her for a moment before giving a small nod.

"You could say that. Briallen did not really do much raising or teaching of me, so I... don't know quite how to be a demon, you could say." He finds himself slowly and cautiously making his way closer towards the other, stopping what he deemed a safe distance for the both of them away from the other. Briallen was his mother, sure, but he had been specifically directed to never call her such, only to call her by her name.
