The bell above the door rings cheerfully, slicing through the otherwise silent office like a knife. The room is cozy, professional, and decorated in complimenting shades of soft grey, lavender and white, accented by rose gold. The bright, sunny, morning light pours in from a window to the right, swirling with little dust motes kicked up by the outside air which had snuck in through the open door behind you. The cherry wood flooring resonates with a kind of light-hearted charm, instantly elevating the mood for any patron stepping foot inside. The smell of parchment, rich leather, old books, and ink saturates every square inch of the space as well as a smokey, cherrywood scent that rolls from an elegant fireplace on your right. A large walnut wood counter eagerly awaits patrons, massive clawed feet on either side gripping firmly to what look to be scrolls molded from some sort of dark stone. It sits, squatly as if it might suddenly come to life and skitter away should someone startle it.

Approaching, a tiny rose gold service bell has been set charmingly beside an ornate candelabra, ringing it produces a beautiful, musical note. So lovely, in fact, you just can't help but ring it again, and again, and again. Suddenly, and rather aggressively, a hand snakes up from the other side of the counter and slams the bell down. Stopping the last note abruptly. A Badgin glares at you over his spectacles, which have slid down the bride of his nose, and stands upright. One arm clutches a ledger. He releases the bell and fixes his gaze sternly on you. Obviously, he was in the middle of looking for something when you arrived.

Peering over his spectacles he stands tall and proper.

"Greetings, Welcome to the Permit office of Sardonia. I have everything you need for any establishment you would like to open." He waves his hand at his prized organized forms along the wall. Each one a different color for a specific type. "When you fill out your form please make sure you have chosen the right one, Green would be for Gardening for example, or maybe you want to open a place of food and drink that would be blue." He walked from behind the desk to point to each one respectively tapping a small sign above each stack of forms as he did so. "Now I do ask to please fill out the form to completion, I can't have work half done on your end. We wouldn't want to refuse your permit now would we." He goes back behind the desk. "Also" there's a long silence and he looks at you intently, something is different. His spectacles shine in a way you can't see his eyes for a moment and he looks slightly bigger than before. "I ask you keep everything neat and orderly and return everything to it's proper place. If not things go amiss you see." Tilting his head down again the glare covering his eyes shifts and he is boring his eye into you. "I do dislike disorder."

The atmosphere relaxes and he turns to go back to his prior task, with pause he looks back and smiles big "I hope your establishment is a success! Please come back for any other permit needs."

Want to open a little business for your Faekats to run? Well, now you can!

How do you do that exactly? It’s easy!

1. Find the right type of business for your Kat to run. This should be Realm appropriate.
2. Find a theme.
3. Write it all out.
4. Make a thread.
5. Label it with the business name and put in parentheses somewhere in the title (Business).
6. Hire some employees if you need them! (These can be your own or other peoples Kats with their permission)
7. BOOM! Open it up! Post a link to it in here and you can get your Official Faetasia Business Permit that shows your business is an actual cannon location in Faetasia. Once it has a permit it will be stickied and be officially official! WOW!

Now Kats can use it as a place to RP.
There is no actual monetary exchange here, this is for RP purposes only.
You can be involved as much, or as little, as you want but remember... you and your Kats are responsible for your establishment.

Don't make the Permit office come after you for violations. (OoooOOOoooOooooo scary.)

If your Kat is going to be present all the time to interact with people please make sure to state that.
But if it's just a generally open establishment where people can RP without your Kat needing to be present you can state that instead.

Once your business has been created please post this form in this thread for Official Approval.

If you want a guide for business creation, sometimes it’s easy to draw a blank, you can follow the layout below:

Business Name: (What's your place called?)
Type of business: (What do you sell/what service do you provide)
Theme/aesthetics of business: (The layout. What does it look like? What is the color scheme? What kinda vibe do you want for the place?)
Who owns the business: (Your Kat? Some unknown mystery Kat?)
Where in the Realm is it located: (General locale. Are you in the country? The city? The posh district? The club district?)
Does it have employees: (Do you want your business to be run by just one Kat or will they need help to run their establishment?)
What does the building look like outside: (Cottage core? Modern? Etc.)
Is it a private establishment, members only, or open to the public: (Who can frequent the establishment? What type of clients/customers are you catering to?)
Are there hours of operation: (Do you close, bro? What time do you open?)
Does your Kat need to be present for people to interact/RP with the business setting? (Yes/No)

In addition, please don’t make a plethora of businesses just to make businesses.
These should be tools to facilitate RP/Plots, be a place for other Kats to visit, and thus expand the world of Faetasia.
We hope you will take time and put some love into your concepts so that these can eventually be established, well-known places in the Realm.

Closing a Business:
If there comes a day when your Kats just don’t want to run their business anymore please make sure to close it by using (Closed) to replace the (Business) marker.
