About The Race: Banshees
The Banshees are a fairly special race of Faekats, in that they freely move between the world of the living and the world of spirits. A Banshee can phase in and out of visibility, and through being part-spirit, they have contact with otherworldly forces. Banshees are a race of prophets and seers. The future is an open book to them.
Or, it was once. Long ago, the Banshees were known as the Fáidh, and were famous throughout Faetasia for their accurate and clear prophecies. A foolish queen made the mistake of challenging Moira, the Goddess of Prophecy, saying that as the leader of a race of spiritual seers, she was an equal to the goddess. This moment of hubris on the part of the queen was doom for the entire race. Moira could not take away their ability to see into the future, but she could twist it. Banshees are now cursed to only see tragedy, and as such, they took on a new name. Soon, they were no longer known as legendary prophets. Instead, they were shunned as omens of doom, because the appearance of a Banshee could only mean that some great tragedy was soon to strike.
The race split in two, with some remaining loyal to their queen and the rest breaking away out of rage at her foolish mistake. Those who remained loyal became known as the Dílis, lead by the Queen's older daughter, Caitriona; those who broke away became known as the Cneámhaire, led by her younger daughter, Ciara. The Queen herself vanished, and some claim that she simply faded away out of grief. Others say she is in hiding, so deeply ashamed of what she had done that she no longer wishes to show her face.
Banshees, being half-spectral, have no legs or feet, and do not walk. Instead, they hover about a foot in the air and float along. Besides being seers, they are a very musical race, and Banshees have hauntingly beautiful voices. They are fully capable of being entirely solid in order to hold things, touch others, breed, et cetera.
Racial Rules
1. Banshees are mostly Good or Neutral. They mean well, they just...happen to only see bad things.
2. There are Ebil Banshees, but they are very rare.
3. Banshees' loyalties are not limited by their alignment. There are Ebil Dílis and Good Cneámhaire. It really boils down to whether or not they blame the queen for what happened to their race.
4. Good Banshees generally do not fling. They expect that it would be hard to find someone who accepts a prophetess-ghost-thing who most consider to be an omen of death, and thus would hold fast to anyone who does and would tend to be heartbroken if abandoned. So mating is much preferred.
BANSHEES AND ELITE RACES:
Banshees CAN BE Holykats, Angelics, Dark Angelics, Faerys, Dark Faerys, Tieflings, and Demons.
Banshees CANNOT BE Vampires, Zombies, or Unholykats. This is because they are already ghosts, and cannot be double-undead. Sorry guys!
About The Race: Asarlai
The Asarlai are highly in tune with black magic. Long ago, they were a weak race who found themselves in danger at every turn. Wanting to protect her people, their queen begged the gods for help, and got an answer from a very dark goddess. In return for giving the females the power they sought, she asked for a sacrifice: the hearts of her people. The Queen agreed.
As the goddess had promised, they gained the power of black magic: curses, hexes, and spells of a dark nature. However, they had lost something important: the ability to love. An Asarlai can choose to regain the ability to love at the cost of most of her magical abilities, but she must be fully committed to the choice or it will not work.
Asarlai may form "mated pairs" based less on love and more on a desire to ensure that the other partner only reproduces with them. Asarlai are very interested in gaining more power, and while they cannot love, many are very consummate actors and can fake it like nobody's business. They do have a full range of other emotions--love is the only one they are "missing."
Every Asarlai wears a necklace with a trinity-type symbol. This necklace is the symbol of their contract with their dark goddess and is normally nigh-impossible to break, but if an Asarlai focuses her will--and it must be all her will, no hesitation--the charm becomes as fragile as glass. Breaking it is the way to break the contract and regain the capacity for love at the cost of magical ability.

1. Asarlai are always Ebil, no exceptions.
2. Asarlai DO NOT LOSE THEIR POWER BY MATING. An Asarlai loses her power when she makes a choice to give it up. She can still mate, but for reasons other than love, much like a zombie or a vampire.

About The Race: Frankenfae
Frankenfae are fascinating creatures. They are a race of females dedicated to one thing:
The pursuit of SCIENCE.
Frankenfae are mad scientists extraordinaire, brilliant but often very, very crazy. They are born looking like patchworks, and many of them require a little extra stitching up, thanks to their tendency to be involved in terrible laboratory accidents. Frankenfae make all kinds of fascinating discoveries, but often cannot replicate the results, as they tend to work on the "no plans, no prototype, no backup" system.
Frankenfae fall all across the alignment spectrum, from those who want to devote their mental prowess and scientific ingenuity to good, to those who would prefer to take over the world (MUAHAHAHAHA~) to those who really don't care about good or evil, they merely pursue science.
Frankenfae have the power to control electricity, which is often a boon in their experiments! No need to wait for a lightning storm here, these girls can generate one themselves!

About The Race: Faeseelies
Faeseelies are a race of tricksters who feed on the emotions of the other Faes around them. They also have the power to generate emotion!
Female Faeseelies are sweet, playful, and love to see people smile. They feed off positive emotions, and their very presence makes anyone near them happy. Females are often found singing, dancing, and celebrating the wonders of nature, life, and Faetasia! They bitterly resent their male kin, however, and while female Faeseelies are usually peaceful, nothing riles them like a male of their race!
Male Faeseelies look down on and mock the females, and like nothing better than to make other kats angry or sad. They feed off negative emotions, and can create them just with their presence - however, most of these boys prefer to make you mad or sad or frightened the regular way! (They swear up and down that "organic" emotions "taste" better.) They love to taunt their female kin!
Racial Rules
1. Female Faeseelies are always Good, male Faeseelies are always Ebil, barring Elite races or demi blessings
2. Gender ratio for Faeseelies is approximately 1:1, none is more rare than the other.
3. While male and female Faeseelies don't often get along, they CAN mate to each other!
FAESEELIES AND ELITE RACES
Faeseelies CAN BE whatever you want them to be! They typically become Faeries or Dark Faeries, but are capable of being any of the races Faekats offers.
About The Race: Jurassikats
Jurassikats aren't necessarily book smart, but they're incredibly clever survivalists. If you get lost in the woods, you want one of these girls with you!

About The Race: Fennekats
Fennekats thrive in Faetasia’s deserts. They are well adapted to desert life, and are happy to be guides, traders, and helpers for those who wander into their territory and get lost. They also have a secret: while most believe that Fennekats just have an unnaturally powerful sense for finding water and particularly for finding oases, in fact they are actually magical, capable of tapping into groundwater and making new oases bloom out of the desert. They closely guard this secret, in order to keep their powers out of the hands of those that might take advantage of this ability for material gain.
While they are happy to help anyone they can (for the most part), it is a rare day that any outsider will witness a Fennekat raise a new oasis. And while they are happy to welcome travelers into the small towns they have established throughout the desert, almost no outsiders are ever allowed near their fiercely-guarded homeland deep in the desert, a place they call the "Eternal Oasis."
