Alber stood within the doors of his recently upgraded rooms within the Sabbat Mansion, a small smile on the ancient Vampire's face. He had been hiding amongst the lower level clan members for a long time, not letting out his true age... Not even to his one time beloved. It had not been a game, mind, but a way to learn, and experience what the new, and young clan members were thinking. He hoped the new Disciple, or the Anti, would not judge him for his choice on the matter as he considered the walls of the hall in front of him... But it had given him a perspective that he rather enjoyed.

But Grendel's ascension had changed everything, and their clan needed him, in his mind. They needed to grow, that their... Lovely little arts... Could grow. Much like flesh grew, to be shaped at their hands.

He smirked a little as that thought passed through his mind, a hand sliding up to run his claws through the spikes on his head. He knew he should go out and bring in new blood into the Clan... And he would, soon.

But for the moment, he was enjoying the strange freedom that admitting who he truly was gave him.

The Antediluvian was quite pleased with how matters were progressing lately; Grendel had taken over, Caine was gone, the Dark Mother was free from his wretched grasp, Lilith was being promoted to their Clan's Disciple, and vampires were waking left and right. On the matter of Lilith's promotion, it was about time, that woman had more than paid her dues. It did cause the vampire to feel amused though, that Grendel were promoting his ex lover. Why did it amuse her? It just did.

Today she had pulled herself away from her bedchambers long enough to stretch her aching limbs. Lilith had been acting Antediluvian prior to her promotion and that meant Parthena had slept. For a long while she had slumbered peacefully until the shift of powers came and their world was being shaken awake aggressively. She was not the only ancient being that had awoken recently. The first priorities had been to feed multiple different varieties of hunger that the waking world had brought to her. Now it was time to explore.

She just so happened to run into a face that had been around quite a long time, long enough for her to have some memory recall of who he was. "Alber," the vampire purred the name as she slipped up beside him, footsteps falling in sync with his, as if she had been walking with him this whole time. "You seem in good sorts." When last she had been awake, the man was mingling with the younglings of the Clan.

There was a moment's pause at at the sound of his name, and then he slowly turned to face whoever had spoken to him. The voice had been familiar but not one he had heard in... Who knows how long, really. His brows rose when he confirmed that it was, indeed, Parthena and she was awake again.

He had always appreciated the fact that she had never revealed the truth of his age to those he was spending his time with. It had made it easier for him, let him relax and just experience the world he was living in.

He gave the four armed beauty a small smile and leaned into the door frame of his rooms. "It has been far too long, Parthena. It is good to see you have rejoined us in the waking world. There is far too much to be done without you." He gave a deep sigh, and then added "Yes, I feel... Freed. Perhaps freeing myself of the illusion of youth has done me good. It was quite a delightful time but tis best for me to be as I truly am."
