Part 6: 1994 = Resource Crisis Narrator: By 1994, Nickelodeon taped its 1,000th Show but back in 1989, before Universal Orlando, Nickelodeon produced 103 shows of Original Content, so during 94, they averaged 285 each year causing a total of $110 Million to be spend on Production since their opening. That year, more Nick Jr. Shows arrived along with its mascot Face in September 1994 which showed up during the tours for preschoolers among the park visitors.
But that wasn't enough to abide by their agreement with MCA Universal, so they expanded into other MTV Network Projects as a result such as VH1 Concerts. However, this was the only good milestone to come out of this year as things were about to get much worse from here on out down the line. The Narrator continued as getting into The Nickelodeon Studios that is Yet to Come.

Part 7: 1995 = Nicktoons Take Over Part 1 Narrator: By 1995, Nickelodeon was off to a Good Start with All That, a Comedy Sketch Show following in the Footsteps of You Can't Do That on Television & Turkey Television as it would change the shape of Nickelodeon's Live Action Shows during the Mid 1990s.
Elsewhere, Nickelodeon in Orlando had 7.7 Million Visitors the year before while Disneyland had 11.2 Million. During 1995, MCA Universal began production of a Park Expansion that cost $2.6 Billion which became the Islands of Adventure.
The Motif of Show Biz became less and less of Universal and more on the Motif of Rides and Attractions based on the Television and Movie World. The Bates Motel Set for the Psycho Movies was torn down & replaced with the Barney & Friends Stage Live Show. But its worth noting that 3 Paramount Parks opened in 1995, Great America, King's Mountain and King's Dominion that got Nickelodeon's Splat City which had slime attractions and live show called "Mega Messmainia" but Universal Hollywood was the same.
The Channel of Nickelodeon where Nicktoons was a Big Success and Money Maker since 1991 and in 1995, it replaced Nickelodeon's Game Shows. That year, we saw reruns of Rugrats as it became the top rated cartoon for the channel where it was Ranked 4 times on the Cable TV Ratings... 3 = Wednesday 4 = Thursday 6 = Monday 7 = Sunday These Reruns of Rugrats Outperformed Power Rangers, Animaniacs & Pinky and the Brain.... The Narrator continued

Nickelodeon put Rugrats on hold during 1993 but their renewed Greenlight turned Rugrats into their Headline Mainstay until SpongeBob but Nickelodeon Studios had nothing to do with animation as a whole. Starting with Rocko's Modern Life, Nickelodeon produced their Animation through Games Animation where Nicktoons Production got doubled in 1996... The Narrator said until he was interrupted again.

Part 8: 1995 = Nicktoons Take Over Part 2
*2 Interruptions Later...*
Narrator: *After the interruption* As I was saying... ...Nickelodeon produced their Animation through Games Animation where Nicktoons Production got doubled in 1996 with at least 1 new Nicktoon each year up to 2005 & most years would have 2-3 new Nicktoons since Nickelodeon Studios was important for its Live Action Content but its decline and cease to be the center of Operations was underway but was also an attraction for Universal Orlando as it was not filling its goals with the Park but at least All That did well enough but it was not to last. The Narrator said hoping that he won't be interrupted again since a Time Card Joke would be running on empty.

Part 9: 1996 = Rock Bottom Narrator: By 1996, the jig was up. Nickelodeon Studios lost All That. After Season 2, All That moved to Hollywood just like Roundhouse as its producers got Hollywood's attention with Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream. All That Season 3 was taped at the Paramount Studios instead while other Nickelodeon Shows were loosing their lease. However, Keenan & Kel was tapped at Nick Studios which also moved to Hollywood during Seasons 2-3.
At this point, Nickelodeon was in a State of Lukewarm Reception & it felt like Nickelodeon Studios took its toll as massive losses of shows taped there stacked up. Layborune stepped down then moved to Disney ABC Cable and Herb Scannell took over which felt like replacing top management at Nickelodeon at the time.
The First Nickelodeon Movie that was released during 1996 was Harriet the Spy with Hey Arnold & Kablaam were added to the Nicktoons Family. As for Nick Jr, Blue's Clues arrived and would become Nick Jr's Iconic Program for Preschoolers. However, they ALSO had nothing to do with Nick Studios.
Worst Still, Nick Studios didn't have anything new to bring to the Table while the Cosmetics and Game Lab remained the same since 1991. With no new Nickelodeon Game Shows that year, interest in Nick Studios had begun its Decline in Full Effect. Gullah Gullah Island went into a Hiatus when the puppet performer for that show got into a accident in that year leaving him hospitalized in a coma then died in January 1997.
The new show that year was Shelby Woo which had no audience. Nickelodeon Studios went from spending $43 Million in 1995 to spending $35 Million in 1996 & employment was half rate compared to 1992 as it kept going down from there.
Nickelodeon Studios' Top Management was also replaced by Tim Quealy in Spring 1996. The reason behind this decline was because the attraction & Sound Stages of Nickelodeon Studios was because it was stagnating quickly. While improvements were made in quality, it played out in the same direction. Every person had to ask themselves what to update to keep things new and what to save to keep it familiar. Sadly, more than half the Sound Stages at Disney MGM & Universal were empty. The Dream of Eastern Hollywood wasn't holding up as well as it once did. The Narrator said after talking about Nick Studios during 1996 and 1997 was next.

Part 10: 1997 = Nickelodeon's Sunset Narrator: The Sound Stage at 6230 Sunset went through several changes throughout the years. By 1997, the sound stage was named "Nickelodeon on Sunset", the home of Nickelodeon's Live Action productions where is where All That and Keenan & Kel moved to during that time. The Amanda Show which could have been taped at Nick Studios, was taped at Nickelodeon Sunset instead.
As for Shelby Woo, things got complicated where it was shot on more expensive filming instead of tape as it could not afford welfare & pension for the IATSE. As a result 60 people walked out and the show was shut down after Season 3.
On the bright side, Nickelodeon returned with Games starting with Figure It Out where panelists attempted to guess the hidden talents of players. There was no audition process for that show as players were selected through a mail room pool but at least you had a show you can watch at Nick Studios. But I'll talk about Figure It Out later when we get to 1997
Elsewhere, the Game Lab became a Road Show & Nickelodeon Studios laid off 9 employees. At that point, GUTS Creator, Scott Fishman took over and would maintain its management until the attraction's closure.
Universal Hollywood also got Nickelodeon Attraction called "Total Nickelodeon". Stick Sticky gave out instructions which put the Game Lab to shame while Nickelodeon Studios didn't do anything new & different. To make matters worse, the Nicktoons and other Projects such as Nickelodeon Attractions & Sitcoms Outclassed and Outranked Nickelodeon Studios at Orlando.
So being at the top is a Tall Order rather than getting there where as others innovated new features while the older concepts were starting to stagnate. The Narrator said as he continued the story about Nick Studios and how the attraction ended up in a cemetery.

Part 11: 1998 = Third Rate Operation Narrator: By 1998, Nickeloeon Studios had 2 Games that year, Figure It Out & You're On. Once again, I'll talk about You're On later when we get to 1998.
During that time, Nickelodeon Sunset was handling all the Sitcom & Live Action shows, Games Animation was renamed to Nickelodeon Animation Studios leaving Nickelodeon Studios as a Third Rate Operating Theme Park Attraction which made it very hard to keep up with MCA Universal everyday of the year.
Once again, Nickelodeon Studios was still the largest Television Studio in Orlando with the same complaint that it didn't do anything new which had it threading water. So to reduce losses, Nickelodeon rented out their studio space and equipment to other Third Parties such as Animal Planet, Golf Channel. But wait, there's more! As the 1990s came to a close on the stroke of 12 Midnight and at the of the New Millennium, things were about to get so much worse by the Winds of Change. The Narrator said as he continued

Part 12: 1999 = Childhood's End Narrator: By March 1999, Nickelodeon launched the Nickelodeon Games & Sports Channel or Nick GAS which was a Nickelodeon Game Show Network Format Channel for their old games & Sports Programing they had but their original content was handled at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando as they had very little resources left such as the Final Season of Figure It Out which ended in 2000.
They could have used their sound stage spaces for young sport star interviews that are at hand such as soon to be famous All Stars of the NHL, NBA, MLB & MLS.
The Islands of Adventure Park also opened that year on May but brought no new attendant risings & due to its initial poor marketing left some lofty exceptions.
Nickelodeon Studios was stagnating to the breaking point as it was still the same and little to no shows were being taped there. There's was nothing left to do except throw in the towel. However, Nickelodeon had one last ditch attempt to save their Orlando Lot. The Narrator said as he continued
