[PRP] Reconciling Differences (Raphael x Karoel)

The house wasn’t that far. All in all it was merely a few blocks down the road. Raphael had passed it many times but had not been inside in a very long time. At least a decade. But what was time to a vampire? It felt like only yesterday.

As they approached the house the windows were dark. Whether or not someone was living there was uncertain. But as they drew close to the door he relinquished her arm and dig into the pocket of his jacket, producing a gold key that he put into the lock and turned it with a click. The door creaked as he pushed it open, moving to the side so that she could enter first.

The house was still emmaculare as ever. Now Raphael knew someone was living here. But which child? He hadn’t seen Viceroy, Belle, Drada or Latha is a very long time. They were all busy living their own lives and would occasionally check up on him.

“Well here we are.” He said as he moved through the doorway behind her, closing the door behind him. It was rather dark in the house. No lifhts to help guide them through the house.

It wasn't that far yet the walk seem to go on for days, just taking in the surreal feeling oh his arm guiding her past the boundary her mind had put in place, she'd come close to running over knocking on the door many times after her nights out but something would always make her stop just as the house would come into view.

Now she was inside again, looking around, Things seem to have not changed that much.. sure a few things had been moved around but she could safely guess the reason for that.. That poor cabinet had taken the brunt of her anger..But still it felt strangely comforting to be here even after all this time and all that happened. She slipped her coat off and almost instinctively went to put it on the coat rack... Stopping herself moments before letting go and noting that the coat rack was in fact in a new location. Things really have changed after all.



Between the entry way and the main living space is an end table with a neatly folder letter next sitting on top, beside the table is a waste basket half full of similar looking notes neatly torn in two.

Raphael had noticed her hesitation at first. Not surprising, she probably hasn’t been back here after the fight. The Ravnos slipped off his long black cloak, a black buttoned up s**t was underneath except some of the buttons on the top were undone. Mainly for comfort. Glancing at the table and the note he picked it up, unfolded it and quickly read before he handed it off to Karoel so that she could read as well.

The waste basket was next. He bent down and grabbed a few torn pieces of paper reading the writing scrawled across them. “Looks like there was a note here just about every night.”

Placing the pieces of paper back in the the basket he stood once more and headed towards the kitchen. “Tea?” He asked before disappearing through the doorway that lead to the kitchen.

Placing her coat on the back of a chair, damn she liked that coat rack where did he move it.. Did she break it on her way out.. Not important, just trying to distract herself from the feeling she should not be here mixed in with the feeling of this being right..

She kept an eye on him as he removed his jacket, nothing how he still dressed the same unlike her, ditching her black dresses long ago for.. Where did she even get this outfit? Green? She shakes her head clear again of distracting thoughts she took the paper from him and read it do herself, muttering a few words out loud as she did.

'Dearest Father & Siblings that might be visiting.:

Demetra, my daughter, has not returned home in quite some time, perhaps in search of her long missing father and sister? I still have no leads on them. As far as he goes I don't expect him to be turning up any time soon, but the trail is still fresh on her so I shall be leaving the house for some time in pursuit. I've entrusted Regina with the bulk of the upkeep for the home while I'm away.

Notes in the basket seem to detail the major events in the family recently, births, mateships, Jaques business, Regina's husband going missing, the moth problem that shortly plagued the house.

She blinked a bit going over the note, giving a few concerned 'oh's over the missing child and a raised eyebrow over the over explaining on the likely hood of the child's father turning up again. She set it back down. "..Yes tea sounds great. Thank you." She followed but not closely, remaining just past the doorway.
