Eithne hated the city.
Picking her way quickly through the streets, she wasted no time admiring the bright lights of Hemlock, nor did she stop to socialize with any passing crowds. She kept to the shadows when she could, wrapped in a thick fur, braided hair half strewn with leaves, with a living snake adorned about her neck for jewelry. She truly looked as if she were feral, having stepped out of the woods and a world forgotten by those accustomed to town. It wasn't untrue. The elder Lhiannan hated to be away from the comfort of her woods, and the longer she left it, the more frustrated and irritable she was known to be.
Luckily, Eithne had little plan to linger any longer than she must. While the woods provided her with most of what she needed, what she needed now was a resource that until recently, had been denied them. She needed bodies...bodies to turn, so as to grow the Clan's numbers and help them flourish once more. For too long their numbers had been stifled by their curse, but Grendel's blessing gave them a new lease on their unlife. While Eithne would forever be particular about who she chose to Embrace.... it didn't hurt her to at least peruse the merchandise.
What better place to find potential kin than in the occult shops found within Hemlock? She had a duty to her Clan, to her Disciple, and knew what her main task would be for the short-term. So it was, Eithne had taken herself out of the comfort of her woods to make a rare appearance in town.
There was a soft jingle of bells as she opened the door, and slipped into the warmth of a familiar shop. The scent of incense was powerful, but not unwelcome. Finally.
One look around and her nose crinkled. Not a patron in sight. Well, that was disappointing. However, she was willing to peruse the actual merchandise on display for a time. Perhaps something might catch her eye that was worth her trip into the city.
Yayoi I couldn't remember if they were long-time friends or not. LOL
