Office: The primary office space is an open area with a large L-shaped desk, usually packed with various research materials. The walls are surrounded with bookcases and display shelves. A staircase on the left runs along a wall of picturesโmostly photographs from Vihaanโs travelsโ that leads up to Viihaanโs personal quarters. On the right side are two doorwaysโ one leads to a small meeting nook, and the other leads to a private kitchen/ brewing space.
The office is primarily accessible from two locationsโ the primary entrance is a corner next to the Alchemy classroom. From the Slytherin Common Room is another entrance that leads to the kitchen space.
Vihaanโs personal quarters are upstairs, including a bathroom, bedroom, and reading nook. There is also a sunroom, bewitched to let the sunlight from the first floor in. All of the spaces and shelves are conveniently positioned to be fox-accessible.

Office Hours: General office hours are held Tue/ Wed 12-13 and other times by appointment in Vihaanโs office. Officially, Slytherin House office hours are 16-17:00 on Monday through Thursday, but functionally, the doorway from the Slytherin Common Room is open whenever Vihaan is in the office.
Outside of class, Vihaan can be found reading or working in his office, or doing lesson planning and grading. During โoff hoursโ he switches over to leisure reading or planning his next travel excursion. He can occasionally be found in the Library or Slytherin Common Room as a fox, and takes a โSunriseโ and โSunsetโ stroll every day, although how long these strolls and where he wanders may vary, and given the day cycle of Scotland, these donโt always take place at sunrise and sunset. He is almost always in attendance at Oldieโs Tea with other professors.
About the Professor: This is the office of Professor Vihaan Sur Narain, Professor of Alchemy and Slytherin Head of House. Despite his poor graduating grades, Vihaan worked in a variety of jobs, rebuilding his skills and gaining experience as an alchemist. He enjoys traveling and continuing to learn about the world in his free time, and while he often jokes that he cannot wait to return to retirement, being around the youth seems to have done his energy and health some good.
Vihaan lives on campus, although he is out every extended break to travel the world. On the average weekend he may sometimes travel to different cities around the British Isles to do some photography or experience new recipes. Vihaan also spends considerable time in his fox animagus form, notably either just padding around his quarters or sunbathing with a book.
