Founded by the Crone, an ancient being who was embraced herself by Caine, the Lhiannan are a Clan of witches, druids, pagans, and nature lovers. They practice a particular form of blood magic, known as Ogham. By drawing celtic runes and calling upon their ancestral knowledge, Lhiannan can absorb magic within their own territory. One notable thing about the Lhiannan bloodline is that they are all part forest spirit. The founding of the clan occurred when a forest spirit, angry and afraid of the destruction that might one day be caused by mortals, bound itself with the help of the Crone to one of her childer.
With that connection, the Lhiannan are particularly in tune with spirits, close to the spiritual world in a way that few vampires are. They are, in a sense, a hybrid creature, but only a small piece of the forest spirit lives within each member of the clan. After becoming Grendel's Disciple, Narcise ( "the Crone" ) was freed from the cursed placed upon herself and upon her clan. Therefore, though once before the spirit dwindled with each embrace, it instead thrives and carries its power to each new fledgling.
The Lhiannan are most powerful within their forests and may find significantly greater comfort therein. Although they can travel outside of them, they may find cities and villages disconcerting, and crave the natural world from which their forest spirit comes. They are a matriarchal clan, ultimately ruled by the Crone, with female members seen as closer to their foremother. Due to this association, the majority of Lhiannan are female, though they do accept any gender.
When selecting someone to embrace, the Lhiannan will always seek a witch, druid, wisewoman or man, or some other form of nature lover. For example, they might embrace a woodsman who demonstrated deep respect for trees and the forests. They are particular and rarely embrace. Tending to be solitary, they will break this stance when caring for a new childe. For a few years after the embrace they tend to keep their fledglings near them, watching over them until they are ready to fed for themselves. Then, a Lhiannan sire will send their childe out to find their own haven.
You find yourself in the midst of a deep, dark forest. A forest where no light is cast, not even up high in the canopy above. It is a tremendously large temperate rainforest, sheltering myriad species within the boughs of its trees and on the forest floor below. It would almost seem that there is no end to the forest and no beginning, yet as you look harder, at the very heart of the forest there is a faint glimmer of light.
The great tree, where the Crone, Narcise, awaits. Out of that large and hollow tree, light spills as if kindled here and only here, but it is the light of magic, the light of cauldron's fire, and of the deep magic. It is no light a mortal eye has seen. Your immortal gaze is drawn to it and you approach... for whatever reason you hold in your heart.

On Ogham: A Peculiar type of Blood Magic
The Ogham Discipline is only found among the Lhiannan bloodline; they do not (some say cannot) share its secrets with those who do not suffer from their line's curse. All Lhiannan share a splinter of a dark, once-vast, and powerful forest spirit. Ogham allows them to tap into that spirit's power, and into its communion with free spirits of its ilk.
Ogham is a limited form of Blood Magic; it is neither as flexible nor as powerful as Tremere Thaumaturgy, nor other Clans' blood sorcery, but within the bounds set by the Lhiannan's territorial nature it is quite powerful. Ogham is strongest within a Lhiannan's home territory. More than 50 miles (80 km) from her home territory, the difficulty of using Ogham increases by one across the board, as the Lhiannan's own spirit-shard comes into conflict with unfamiliar local spirit life.

Parent Clan: Gangrel - although most Lhiannan do not view themselves as originating from Gangrel in any respect. They do share many traits that make this position debatable.
Nickname: Druids, Barbarians, Savages, Pagans
Sect: Independent
Appearance: Most Lhiannan are female, yet male mem-bers of the bloodline are known to exist. All have an exotic feral beauty and that is one of the reasons they try to blend in when in the company of others, at least to a point. It is entirely possible to see a Lhiannan in an evening gown or an Armani suit if it means she will live another night. In the privacy of their haven or sometimes even in public, the Lhiannan wear talismans that supposedly strengthen their spirit half, the same does not happen with their clothes of choice in private though that often are too outdated for public use. When performing one of their spirit rituals however, they shed most clothes and inscribe bloody glyphs and runes on their bodies.
Haven: In the past, the Lhiannan favored forest glens and isolated rural villages where the old ways were still practiced. In modern nights however this is not the norm and most live in the cities, almost always near nature in some form. Many Lhiannan havens are not unlike those of any other Gangrel, or even Daeva in some cases.
Background: The Lhiannan prefer to Embrace individuals that display some of their own traits. Those with respect for or a link to nature and animals, a feral streak and most importantly, who do not follow any monotheistic faith are good candidates for the Embrace. Even more so,those who are actively against Christianity but not in a way that would draw too much attention catch the attention of a Druid before others.

Stereotypes:
Cainites: We are not them. They know nothing of true power and they do not feel the presence of spirit as we do.
Lupines: I have heard their howls, but I do not seek them out. The spirits bade me not to.
Gangrel: Beasts without souls. They claim us as their own, but spit on our names. I have yet to see one brave enough to come into my forest. Cowards.
Tremere: They claim knowledge of magic in the blood? Ha! Let them come find me, I will show them that the true magic lays within the spirit inside of me, not in the ichor that flows beneath the skin.
Ventrue: They build their palisades and walls high to keep out the dangers of the wild. I have no interest in the hollow heart of the city.
Ravnos: The sons and daughters of Caine who wander the beaten paths between cities would do best keeping to the roads. I hear the wilderness can be dangerous.
