See you all thought I would end up as the single crazy cat lady.
I'm a
married crazy
tarantula lady, thanks. Still ******** nuts, but you know whatever.
Actually here's an exhaustive list of the animals I'm currently taking care of:
21 tarantulas (including Milla, my first! She's probably in her early to mid-20s at this point.)
Several isopod colonies, including rubber duckies!
1 leopard gecko
1 jumping spider
1 vinegaroon
1 pacman frog
1 turtle (not Bushy)
1 cat (Qi is 16 now, Titan tragically went missing in 2015 and I never found him)
I work from home so I have a lot of time to take care of them. Tarantula nerding is my main hobby now. Daily maintenance is about 1-2 minutes per spooder. That doesn't take a long time, and they're invertebrates so they have absolutely zero emotional needs. In fact I give Pumpkin water and food and he absolutely does nothing but give me threat poses and slap his webbing in warning. Such a charmer.
I consider my turtle and my cat to be my most complicated pets to care for, as both have more complex needs and emotional stimulation. My turtle loves interaction, and so does my cat.
