[TD: 4/14/22] Trent VS. Bobby Roode (Non-Title Rematch)

Originally, Triple H scheduled Abyss to take on the CWF World Heavyweight Champion Trent in a non-title match, but there was a change of plans. Bobby Roode returns! and takes on Trent in the Main Event.

The beginning of the instrumental theme of Bobby Roode, Off the Chain (Instrumental) would play in the arena as the lights dim to a totally dark, black where nothing can be seen, until they lighten up some at the top of the ramp to show Bobby Roode, the IT FACTOR of Pro wrestling, turned around, wearing his signature robe with his wrestling gear underneath. When the music changes its tone, he turns around and begins making his way down to the ring and is introduced, to a mostly booing crowd with some cheers mixed in.



Announcer:"Introducing at this time, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 235 pounds, the IT FACTOR of professional wrestling, BOBBY... ROOOOODDE!"



Bobby would slowly make his way down the ramp, at his own slow pace, as he was totally in his zone, ignoring the pesky fans at ring side, not letting them or anything else get in his head, the only thing on his mind was winning because he is a winner. He eventually makes it to the ring, where he walks up the steps slowly, walking down the apron and slowly enters the ring. The lights are still fairly dim, but lightened up some so he and the ring were more visible, as he walks to the farthest corner, and climbs onto the second rope and spreads his arms and looks straight up into the rafters, and closes his eyes in his signature taunt, as his neat theme song continues in the background, and after a few more seconds he gets down and takes his robe off, gently setting it outside of the ring, for someone at ring side to appropriately take care of. The lights would light up to their normal brightness, and Bobby Roode's theme slowly fades out, and he waits for what was next with the same focused look on his face.

Left Alone would hit the PA System. Smoke flooding the stage as the song slowly builds and amps the crowd up. The people in attendance were ready tonight to see their new World Champion in action for the first time since winning the title. And the fact that it is against the former World Champion just makes it that much bigger!

The song would build and build until the chorus hit. Emerging through all the smoke was a confident world champion. Who, just a few months ago, wasn't even around. Emerging from the shadows and ending not only Bobby's reign of terror, but Abyss' as well earlier into his current run.

Trent would be smiling brightly as he would high five fans on his way down the ramp. Giving back the same energy the crowd was giving to him. And it was ecstatic.

Samantha Irvin: "From St Paul, MN. Weighing in tonight at 239 lbs. He is the CWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! TREEEEEEENTTT"

Once he was ringside, he would climb the stairs and enter the ring. Taking the center of the ring, unclipping the CWF World Heavyweight Championship from his waist and raising it high in the air for everyone to see. Before handing the title over to the official and taking to his corner.

Bobby Roode was disgusted all throughout Trent's entrance, watching him hold the world title that was in Roodes possession for a long time. He steps out of the ring to the floor during Trent's entrance, and once the music stops and the lights are normal, Roode enters the ring, ready to beat Trent and get himself back into the title hunt, as the referee calls for the bell, DING DING DING.

Trent would stare down the ring into Roode's eyes. They were just as intense as the last time they had fought, maybe even sharper. He definitely was on his A-game. But Trent had stepped outside of his old boundaries and limits. He had shed his rust and he was ready for whatever Roode had.

Once the bell rang, Trent would begin to circle the ring.

Roode would circle the ring as well, closing in on Trent but attempts to surprise him with a kick to his midsection!

Roode was going for blood, not wasting any time as Trent's breath would be stripped from him after taking the kick to the midsection

Roode then grabs Trent by his hair with his left hand and goes for a couple measured right hand strikes to his skull, going for a more physical start to this match instead of the traditional kind due to his hatred for Trent!

Trent would be struck with several rights. Each one getting him closer to collapsing on the mat, but he would continue to stand as Roode would keep hold of his hair

Backing Trent up to the ropes, Roode attempts to irish whip him sending him running to the opposite ones.

Trent would be sent to the ropes. Running them and heading back toward Roode

Roode runs at Trent coming back attempting a clothesline!

Trent would see the arm extend and knew what was coming. He looked to duck the clothesline and run to the next set of ropes!

Roode missed wildly, allowing Trent the marathon runner to pick up speed and Roode tries to turn around as quick as he can

Trent would hit the ropes behind Roode, and as he started coming back he looked to bring all his momentum and weight into Roode for a shoulder tackle!
