xxxASTRONOMY ~ EExxx

■ Mason actually found the tools used in astronomy to be more interesting than learning about the plants and solar system. His intrigue seemed to have helped him do well on the exam as he was able to explain what each instrument was used for and how it worked. Additionally, Mason did remember enough other information as well, which resulted in a pretty good grade.

xxxCHARMS ~ Axxx

■ Mason tended to struggle with charms more than he anticipated he would all throughout his Hogwarts career, especially since it seemed to come so easily to his older sister. He was just glad that he managed to study hard enough to pass.

xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Oxxx

■ With some studying, practice, and the help of Mason's wand, he was able to do excellently on his exam.

xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Axxx

■ Although Mason didn't worry about getting down and dirty, he just didn't care much to learn about plants and herbs. That was not going to help him with his future career as a vehicle mechanic. However, he still did well enough to pass.

xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ EExxx

■ One thing his little brother was good for was talking his ear off about his interests, which included history. Many of the questions from previous years, Mason actually remembered the information because Benjamin would tell him all about what he had been learning in class. The questions he most struggled with on the exam were questions about the material that he had learned in fifth year.

xxxPOTIONS ~ Oxxx

■ Mason approached potion-making with less stress than most of his classmates seemed to as he honestly found it fun to play around with the ingredients and see what kind of concoctions he could make. Due to his stress-free studying, he was able to relax for the exam and really focus on making the potion it asked for perfectly.

■ With some studying, practice, and the help of Mason's wand, he was able to do excellently on his exam.

xxxALCHEMY ~ Oxxx

■ Although he struggled with the charms aspect of Alchemy a bit, he was able to master the parts that were similar to Transfiguration and Potions. Luckily, he did just well enough on those aspects to still get an O, despite doing a little more poorly with charms.

xxxMUGGLE STUDIES ~ Oxxx

■ Although Mason grew up in a wizarding household, he was a halfblood who grew up in a muggle neighbourhood and went to muggle school. For the most part, he hadn't learned anything that he didn't already know, and was therefore able to do very well on the exam.

xxxMUSIC ~ EExxx

■ Mason enjoyed music but he mainly took the class to get to play his piano and become better. Not to learn other instruments. So, he did well with piano but didn't put in the effort elsewhere, which resulted in a slightly less than perfect score.

xxxSTUDY OF ANCIENT RUNES ~ EExxx

■ Mason found that he actually rather enjoyed the study of ancient runes, but he didn't take it super seriously. He didn't think it would be of value to him in the future, so he mostly took it for fun and still did well enough due to his interest in the class.

xxxWANDLESS MAGIC ~ EExxx

■ Mason's wandless magic was pretty decent, and with studying, he did pretty well.

xxxWANDLORE STUDIES ~ Axxx

■ Mason enjoyed wandlore studies, but not enough to study a lot.. Luckily, he did well enough to pass.

Mason didn't realize just how much he depended on his brother to get a good grade in History, resulting in his grade dropping compared to his OWL exam.
