Life is a rollercoaster and Sebastian is here for the ride. One never knows what Seb is up to, least of all himself. There’s so much to do and see in this world. Why would you want to do the same thing everyday? Life’s short. Dye your hair and be a happy little weirdo.

With all the cool things in life, why not be creative? There is a great big world, and Seb spends a lot of time dreaming about how it would be to travel and explore everything. With lots of daydreaming comes lots of creative energy, so it’s not uncommon to see him painting somewhere.

For some people, luck is a roll of the dice. For Sebastian, those dice are weighted to the low rolls. Things just seem to go haywire whenever he’s around. Luckily (haha) because of this, Seb has picked up some random skills to try and counterbalance the luck.

You’d think that being eternally unlucky would make one rather dour, but Seb always finds the silver lining. Fell and scraped his knee? Time for cool bandages. Lost his book? He wanted to read a different genre anyway. Even in the worst of luck, Seb finds the good and rolls with it.

Sebastian cares so deeply about people. And thanks to his seemingly endless misfortune, he’s gotten very good at seeing when people need a hand in life. He’ll be the first to make a fool of himself if it makes someone laugh on a bad day. He also loves leaving little gifts or snacks where people can find them, if only to make them smile for a moment.

While Seb hasn’t exactly had the best luck making friends (a chaotic childhood will do that), he’s fiercely loyal to those he loves. It takes a lot to sway him from his loyalty, and he will often go far out of his way for friends. After all, what’s a friend for if not to be ride-or-die?

Sebastian was born to the very young Kinzlie Moon. She got knocked up on accident, and her super religious family forced her to keep the baby. The first couple years, she had to do everything religiously required for her baby boy. As soon as she turned 18, her family kicked her out (as is fitting, since she sinned?)
Kinzlie found a cheap little apartment and moved in, using Sebastian as reason to please be granted the apartment. Pretty much immediately, Kinzlie was forced to work two jobs, and naturally, her parents refused to watch Sebastian during the days. Seb was often left with various babysitters, neighbors, or on some days, just home alone.
As he grew up, Sebastian had to become independent pretty quickly. Even when he was still super young, he figured out how to eat foods that didn’t require cooking, get things off counters, and try to care for himself. His mom was often exhausted after her work, which usually kept her out all night long. Watching a lot of kids shows (and sometimes less than child-friendly shows), Seb learned little ways to take care of himself better. Sure, his mom couldn’t afford the best, but she always did her best to keep him healthy.

Lots of times they went with empty tummies, but any time they had food, Kinzlie always made sure Sebby had something in his belly.
When he was finally old enough, he started going to school, taking advantage of both breakfast and lunch. It also allowed his mom to shift her work schedule a bit, getting a few hours in the evening together. In their free time, they often watched movies and snuggled on their couch. Sometimes, they’d play child-friendly board games, even if they didn’t always have all the pieces. Every night, before she left for work, Kinzlie would always give him a hug, reminding her baby boy he was loved with all her heart. And every night, Sebby would give her the biggest hug his little arms could muster, reminding her that she was the best mama he could ever wish for.
Starting at 8, Sebby asked his mom if he could dye his hair like her, and any time Kinzlie would get dye, she’d save a small amount to dye Sebastian’s hair to match. It took a few years, but he learned how to do it himself too.

One day, when he was ten, Seb saw some older kids being mean to a little kitten, calling it unlucky and generally being mean. With tears in his eyes, Seb charged in, hugging the kitten protectively and taking the older kids’ anger himself. He’d always been an unlucky kid, so maybe having an unlucky pet would be good for him. Kinzlie nearly cried when she saw the kitten, as well as her little beat up son. He promised he’d figure out something for the kitten to eat, and she reluctantly agreed.
Shortly before his eleventh birthday, Zoot the kitten got out, before coming back home with bad injuries. Kinzlie took the poor animal to the vet, where he lost his front leg. Kinzlie did her best to console Seb, who was a crying mess. The vet, seeing how much the boy loved the little kitty, gave him back to the little family, along with a big bag of cat food and a little purple collar.

On Sebastian’s eleventh birthday, a strange woman kept knocking at the door, but Seb didn’t answer, since that was mama’s big rule. Finally, Kinzlie got home, and let the woman in, who said Sebby was magical. He’d be able to go to a boarding school for the next seven years. And though he knew he’d miss his mom with all his heart, he also knew it might give her enough of a break to not have to pay for him for a while. He went with the woman to a magical place, getting all kinds of neat things for school. It would be a big, huge change, but he also couldn’t help the little bubble of excitement brewing in his heart.
