Ignatius gave a long, languid stretch as he made his way down the hall of the Giovanni mansion. He had only recently risen, having no pressing need to be anywhere this evening, especially as he'd blown his father off on his invitation to shadow him in the Vinsurance Business.
No matter how many times he'd ask, Ignatius had no interest in pushing paper the rest of his life, or chasing his father's dreams. No, Ignatius had far more discerning taste than that, and while he appreciated spending some of the money his father earned to fill the family coffers, he had bigger dreams when it came to serving clan Giovanni. Like his older sister, Ignatius had more of an interest in the dead. He had a keen desire to get his claws dirty, and assist in the darker art of the Soul Trade.
Of course, it took Vespara how many decades until she was finally allowed to start learning the trade? Well, Ignatius had no intention of just waiting around. He'd appeal his father, Claudius, to be of some use -- and the bloodier, the better. He might have only been a Fledgling, but that didn't mean he couldn't begin his studies early. Hadn't their aloof Uncle taken interest in Ambrosius? Of course he had, and he was no well older and already out there doing gods knew what. It irritated Ignatius to be so overlooked -- he was the more capable of the three of them, or so he liked to believe. So why wasn't he getting the recognition he knew he deserved?
Well.
All in due time.
He had plans... big plans... But, tonight? ... well, tonight was all his own.
Making his way down the corridor, he paused when he caught sight of someone new in the mansion. While he was accustomed to seeing certain vampires come and go -- some more regularly than others -- this face was someone new. Someone who looked entirely out of place among the oppulence of the Giovanni mansion. Then again, Ignatius thought anyone who wasn't part of the lineage a little out of place. He was proud of his heritage, and keenly aware he was destined for greatness.
Still... he knew he was to be polite. "Ciao straniero. Aspettando qualcuno?" he asked, deciing he might as well see what they were doing hanging around. Given the location, he had to wonder if he was waiting for some audience with Augustus, or if he had simply taken a wrong turn.

The response caught him off guard, almost like some physical blow. In fact, he had to give the stranger a double take, eyes widening ever so slightly--the only sign of his incredulity. While he was no genteel vampire by any means, he couldn't tell if he was amused by the reply, or pissed off. Maybe both.
But it also wasn't something he was going to stand for.
This was his home, after all, and he knew that whoever he was talking to was nothing more than some doppio sangue a*****e. Well. If that's how he wanted to be, than so so be it. Ignatius didn't need to waste his time with this stranger...
A brow arched, before he forced a smile, fangs gleaming. He gave the other another, judgmental look over--almost like he was observing something rotten and checking to see how best to be rid of it. Never mind that the stranger was anything but -- he was fine on the eyes, which was frustrating in its own right, and had a wild look about him that Ignatius could appreciate... though he didn't want to. Whoever he was, he was certainly different, and even his bitchy response pleased him as much as is pissed him off. Whoever he was, he was different than the typical crowd he bumped into or was forced to meet.
Now if only he'd get out of his house.
"Parole forti per un ospite nella casa della mia famiglia, bestia. Perché non mettere via quegli artigli. Non sei per strada, ricordalo," he reminded, reaching into his pocket to pull out a pack of smokes. He took a moment to light one up, taking a nice long drag, before blowing out the smoke with a sigh. That was better. And no, he wasn't going to offer this a*****e one. He pondered his next move -- getting as far from this asshat was fine by Iggy, but that would mean taking orders or listening to him. And he wasn't going to give him the pleasure.
Instead, he leaned back against the wall, and smirked at him. "Ah, ma non sarei un buon ospite se mi allontanassi e ti lasciassi a te stesso." Sure, he didn't invite him, but he was still part of the household. It would be good manners to ensure those invited were left perfectly charmed.

When the other male hadn’t flitted away it only amounted to more irritation for Aureliano. His jaw set hard as he gave an obvious up and down line ok of the other. Taking in his appearance. An appraisal if you would. He wasn’t bad to look at by any means but the Giovanni would never admit that. No, he was as repugnant to him as a slug on the sidewalk. He had convinced himself of that the moment he had set eyes on Ignatius.
A sneer coming to his lips as he turned himself fully towards him now. Slipping clawed hands into the pockets of his coat, not before pulling the collar up just a bit higher. “This might be your family house, ragazzino, but as far as I see it this is Augustus’s home. And you are?” He leaned his head forward, turning an ear towards him. “That’s what I thought. Immondizia che gli pende dalle falde del cappotto.” He leaned back to press his back against the wall he had been leaning against. A foot lifting to brace against it as if at any moment he might push himself away from it.
His father sure was taking a long ******** time to get anything done. And this d**k didn’t seem to be getting the hint that he just wanted to be left alone. He hadn’t even wanted to be here. And obviously Ignatius didn’t have two brain cells to rub together to figure that out.
“Now, let me speak clearly and plainly so your brain can keep up. “I don’t want your hospitality, I don’t want to be your friend, I don’t want to talk to you.” His gaze burned with vitriol. All he had wanted to do was practice his studies in necromancy. At home. Where he could be as depraved as he wanted. “Fatti fottere e lasciami in pace.” If Ignatius thought Aureliano would give him any shred of respect or authority over him because he just so happened to be a part of the main family the other male was sorely, sorely mistaken. The only vampire in that house he respected even a little bit was Augustus. And this brat probably thought that Aureliano should trip over himself because he was probably a third cousin twice removed or whatever. He didn’t care what he was to the Disciple. Family names meant nothing. Action spoke louder than words and he had heard nothing of this Giovanni. Not even in whisper. He probably spent most of his time sucking at the collective teat, spending money like he magically farted it into existence. Useless. A non-contributing member of the famiglia.
Those kinds of pricks really pissed him off.

Ignatius's smile became more forced, anger, rage, and offense building with every spoken word the b*****d said. He'd remember that face, and he'd look forward to the night he could crush it beneath his heal. What an arrogant, foolish, p***k "Ah, your words wound, Signore--temper, temper," he laughed, though there was no humor in the sound. He took a long drag off his cigarette, blowing out the smoke while he steadied his rage.
"Good thing no one in this family or this Clan gives two shits about your opinions." Honestly, the same could be said regarding whoever this a*****e happened to be. He didn't know his name, didn't recognize his face, and as far as he was concerned, didn't need to. He was a blight in the family hallway, standing there like a s**t stain in dire need of removal.
To be fair, Ignatius was young--they had little to recommend them if only because their unlives were relatively new. He had every intention of becoming a great necromancer, of studying under some of the families brightest, and proving himself. He wasn't here to ride anybody's coattails...though there were some benefits to having connections. "Perhaps if you'd replied nicely, darling, I would have continued on my merry way. But seeing as there's a beast in the house, it's my duty to make sure the animal is properly supervised. So I think, very much, I'll wait right here." They didn't need to talk. Ignatius could tell his existence seemed to aggravate the other, so he'd just take gross advantage of it.
It wasn't as if this stranger could go anywhere he pleased. So Ignatius would linger, because he could, and until asked politely, he refused to obey the fussy baby in front of him.

Ignatius honestly didn't give a rats a** how this fellow vampire felt, especially when he'd done nothing to warrant such a cutting reply to a perfectly reasonable question. He hadn't been trying to pry or interrupt--he had simply wanted to help, if help was warranted. Honestly, Ignatius would have shrugged and continued on his way without a second thought had he not been so hurriedly dismissed and snapped at.
While this certainly wasn't worth his time, he had every right to do as he pleased in his home. It was his by birthright -- just as the other families had their own estates, and their own people, and their own broods, so did the main family. One he so luckily had been born into. With his arms crossed, Ignatius was too stubborn to leave. Truth be told, this was absolutely ruining his night, but he wouldn't give this stranger the satisfaction of waltzing off . At least not yet. If lingering bothered the other so much, then Ignatius would linger -- and if anyone asked why, he would claim he was simply pondering his next course of action that night.
Did he go hunting? Did he go back to his studies? Did he go make himself useful to Vinny or his sibling?
There were plenty of reasonable options he'd lingered...but ever-so-innocently pissing off this punk was top of the list.
