Child Of The Night [God 2.0 Concept Contest!] Judging!

As night spreads across the sky, the Goddess Nyx, and her love, Lyra, arrive with their arms full, cradling two new lives. Two young gods that will join their parents in the stars, helping watch over the mortal world.

They will grow up, tending to the night sky, full of beauty, grace and mystery. But first they will need a name, and Nyx is busy looking to the stars, trying to discern their future.

What do the stars say? Who will he become?

This is a name and concept contest for the son of Nyx and Lyra! This contest will end on the 31st December at midnight to give people enough time over the holiday period!

His sister, owned by myself, will be named Auriga!

Entry Name: Aether
Personality: Aether is dreamy, thoughtful, and a bit of an artist. He considers the night sky to be his canvas, a place where he can paint the stories of legendary heroes into the constellations. He loves to interact with mortals, as well, wandering the world and gathering new stories to immortalize in the stars, and even when he can't do that, he enjoys creating poetry and songs to keep those tales alive.

In essence: a bard, but a bard with his head in the stars.

When he wanders the moral realms, he often likes to create personas for himself to inhabit, but they're never too far from the real him. A talented storyteller he may be, but a liar he is not; while Aether might perform a slightly exaggerated version of himself, he is very, very bad at being someone he's not entirely. So when he wanders, he inevitably leaves a a story or two in his wake, about the mysterious, airy bard who seems to know far more than he lets on and who just wants to hear your tale.
Specialty: Constellations
Other: Named for one of the sons of Nyx in Greek Mythology, Aether, the "upper air"/light in the sky. I just think it's cute, you feel.

Personality: Oneiroi is a relaxed happy sort, he enjoys watching over the dreams of mortals. He is curious about their ways and often wonders why they dream the things they do. After all, what does a cupcake chasing a mortal really mean anyway? He is a very curious sort, always wanting to know more about mortals and the ways they live since he only had the insight of their dreams he is very confused about the ways of mortals. Thinking the things he sees in their dreams is actually how they live their lives.
Specialty: Watching over the dreams of mortals
Other: Oneiroi is one of the children of Nyx a personification of dreams.

Entry Name: Eridanus (the mythical river constellation) ((I see what you did with Lyra and Auriga))

Personality: Eridanus embodies the mysterious part of the night. Taking on some aspects from his mother Lyra and her connection to constellations, Eridanus is a little bit mischievous with his abilities over the sky. Sometimes, if you look up in the sky to try to see a constellation…. Perhaps one of the stars will be moved. Just a little practical joke, dont worry, it’ll be back. When meeting him, Eridanus seems really quiet and moody, but in reality it’s because his mind works a mile a minute, his thoughts filling his head like stars. Talking to him can be like talking to a grumpy cat because he gets a little overwhelmed by it. He can distract himself from it by talking to either of his mothers, both of whom he adores, or by going back to the sky and watching. He gets lost in the sky and lost in looking down at mortals, mind going completely blank until a smirk unfurls across his face. He wants to mess with the mortals. (Hence the constellation changes.) It helps him not overthink every little thing under the vast sky he looks after.

Other: He looks for his mothers’ approval before anything. They mean the *world* (or… the universe… the night sky, one might say…) to him. He also gets his sister as a second opinion, because even if they disagree, he’d never mess with family. Eridanus also never messes with his family’s constellation namesakes (Lyra and Auriga).

Entry Name: Timir
Personality: Timir is a deity who first and foremost is devoted to his parents, and then to the mortals that look up to the night skies with wonder. As a young deity, his favorite thing to do is to look back upon the world, and listen to those who wish upon a star. He knows it's, perhaps, falling a bit out of fashion to do so -- but to those who seek out the first star in the night sky, or are inspired by a shooting star -- Timir is happy to hold their prayers near and dear to his heart.

As a god, if there's any way for him to aid in their prayer, their wish, he'll do so. Perhaps he'll seek out other gods to aid in their assistance; perhaps he'll take a step in the mortals shoes and try to aid them personally; and sometimes, there is nothing the god can do, but tuck the wish away and keep it safe. He might be a god, but he isn't omnipotent nor all powerful. There are rules, there are limitations, and he would never risk Chaos' wrath or to step on the domains of others.

But Timir is a helpful boy, eager to do good where he can. Not every wish upon a star would be granted, but every now and then, when it's possible, Timir lends a hand to those who see fit to call upon the stars.

Besides his meddling in the affairs of mortals, Timir is soft-spoken, sweet, and engaging. He loves his family dearly, and to others, he known as a great listener. He's thoughtful, considerate, and empathic, thinking of others and putting their wants and needs first. This could lead to some trouble, depending on who he bumps into, but Timir will never become jaded or troubled. He looks at the world with understanding, patience, and just a little naiveté.
Specialty: Wishing on a Star
Other: The name Timir means 'darkness' in the Bengali language. Not only is he dark coated, like the night, but the stars are brightest when it's dark. A perfect time and place to make a wish.

I'd hope that Timir could be close to his parents and his sister. He's an all around good boy, a sweet cinnamon roll, though his sister might be able to take advantage of his gullible nature. Poor Timir is the sort of god who grew up on might for right, true love conquers all, and that nothing can't be fixed without wishing on a star.

Congratulations!! I think Eridanus will fit in perfectly with the family! Lyra will certainly chide him now and then about messing around with the stars but Nyx looks on in amusment (as long as he puts them back).
