SUMMER's OWLs
Core Classes
Astronomy : A
- Summer enjoyed astronomy enough. It was a basic class that took place at night. You got to look at the stars and all that.
Course it was also much like history where she needed to study hard in order to at the very least pass. Getting an Acceptable grade was all she could as for honestly.
Charms : EE
- Charms was Summer's best class in terms of spell work. It came natural compared to most other spells and as such she found the practical easy enough.
Even the textbook stuff seemed easy enough to retain for her to Exceed Expectations.
Defence Against the Dark Arts : A
- Defense was not Summer's forte. It was hard and she was not a fan of the boggart one had to deal with.
As such she was lucky enough to get an Acceptable grade.
Herbology : O
- Plants are the one thing Summer gets without any trouble. Sure some of the more extreme plants can be difficult to handle but she can manage it all the same.
It was no surprise that Herbology was easily her best subject. Anything less then Outstanding would have been a shock.
History of Magic : A
- Summer's saving grace when it came to History was that it was all textbook. She crammed all she could enough to get by with a passing grade.
Unfortunately an Acceptable grade was all she could muster with how much she disliked the subject.
Potions : EE
- Potions was basically working with plant materials and cooking them in a pot, so if she could work with them alive she could work with them dead? Summer felt that practicality to be reasonable.
Sure some ingredients were dreadfully disgusting but she could make do. Exceeding Expectations she was grateful to have done so.
Transfiguration : P
- It was in secret that Summer was terribly bad at Transfigurations. Her spell work either didn't work at all, or got a completely different result then expected.
As such the written alone couldn't save her and she ended up failing with a rather Poor grade.
Electives
Care of Magical Creatures : O
- Magical Creatures were second runner up to the plants Summer liked to take care of. She loved working with the creatures and although some proved challenging, she still loved them all the same.
Passing with an Outstanding was a mild surprise but not totally unexpected.
Healing : EE
- Summer always had a caring and rather nurturing nature, it was so surprise when she took to healing. Whether it was with plants, potions, or spells she'd always work out how to make it work.
Exceeding Expectations was a bit of a shock but she'd put in the work for it, so maybe she deserved it.
Muggle Studies : A
- Summer took muggle studies for an extra course that would prove simple. Sure it was that but it was also kind of boring.
As such she was hardly applied herself. Focusing all her time on Transfigurations instead she was lucky to get an Acceptable grade by the end of the year.
Wandless Magic : A
- Wandless magic was shall we say not easy. As such Summer struggled to make it work half the time.
Though she put in the work both practically and textually, she only managed to scrap together an Acceptable grade.
Wandlore Studies : EE
- Wands were very much just understanding woods and cores. Something she understood fairly well with her enjoyment of plants and creatures.
It was an interesting subject that kept her wanting to do well. So Exceeding Expectations was pretty nice give the time invested.
