Salem Croft vs (Good Question)

The lights turned off as heart beats on a monitor started showing on the gigantic screen, quickening until the point where the screen, along with pyro to go with it, exploded all at once. The lights would slowly come back on in dark green as a gigantic green question mark shows on the screen and FIght Music begins to play.

Good Question steps out to the stage, and stands at the center staring blankly at the ring. The fans were booing to a small degree, only knowing him as a body guard.

It was his first real match out on his own, after taking time off from being a body guard for an a*****e of an employer. First real attempt at a singles career to see where it heads off.

Good Question marched down to the ring, ignoring the fans near the ramp reaching out to him, the stare at the ring the entire time.

"INTRODUCING FIRST, STANDING 6 FOOT 9, WEIGHING 440 POUNDS...GOOD QUESTION!"

GQ got to the ring and reached up, grabbing the top rope to pull himself up to the apron. Stepping over the top rope to get into the ring. He walked to the center of the ring and just stood there, glaring at the crowd in front of him as the lights slowly came back on.

As GQ's music ended, the arena lights would go dark once more, a blue smoke starting to build and fill the surface of the stage. The crowd was anxious for a snake sighting, looking and straining through the darkness to see a glimpse of Salem. But after a moment, a booming voice would shout over the speaker system...

"IT'S SHOOOOOWTIIIIIIME!"

Pyro exploded across the stage, turning darkness into day for a moment as waves of sudden heat washed over those fans fixated near the stage! Rising from under the platform, Salem was greeted by throngs of supporters who cheered his arrival, the fan-favorite soaking in the fanfare in his first appearance for the company. His fists taped tightly and crossed in front of him, Salem sported a leather kutte done up with biker style patches - his right breast stitched with flashes reading "GYPSY SAVAGE" while the left side bore ones that said "APEX ORIGINAL". Bare-chested, Croft's ink was on display, showcasing his tattooed sleeves and designs that extended across his collarbone, his pants a scaly-looking black that led down into polished combat boots! Looking around at the crowd, Salem lifted a pointed finger towards the ring like a gun, mock firing as another round of explosions surrounded him in the act, exciting the audience even further!

"AND INTRODUCING HIS OPPONENT...MAKING HIS DHW DEBUT...REPRESENTING APEX AND FIGHTING OUT OF INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA...HE IS 'THE COPPERHEAD'! HE IS THE 'GYPSY SAVAGE'! IT'S 'SHOWTIIIIIME' SALEEEEEM CROOOFT!"

Descending the ramp, Salem slapped hands and paused for a couple selfies with his supporters along the barricades, enjoying the brevity of levity before he'd have to face the tall task ahead of him - a challenge aptly described when looking at the giant that was GQ already in the ring! But showing no fear or apprehension, "Showtime" strutted up the ring steps and wiped his boots on the apron, ducking under the top rope and entering the squared circle where his opponent stood! Question outsized him by about half a foot and almost a hundred pounds, but the stare from the snakey specialist was one of resilience and defiance, looking up and into the eyes of his adversary as the referee prepared to get things underway! Signaling to ringside, the official called for the bell as Salem put up his fists, preparing for a fight!

DING, DING, DING!

GQ walked near the ropes upon Salem's music hitting. The big man's stare finally met something, which was the former world champion among many companies. To GQ though, it was an opportunity to devour an individual of high status and move onto even bigger opportunities in the tournament.

Upon Salem getting in the ring and preparing himself to fight, GQ just looked down at the man, seemingly sizing him up.

The bell rang, GQ suddenly rushed at Salem, attempting a Clothesline!

The crowd was hyped for this culture clash - the enigmatic GQ versus the wily Salem - who knew the bigger man before him was no joke in power or technique! If he hoped to gain any edge whatsoever, "Showtime" would have to be ready to endure the giant's wrath and avoid his big strikes, any one of which could lay an average man out cold! Thus, it was as the curious Question launched a lariat forth that the "Gypsy Savage" would attempt to duck under, hoping to turn and hook a hard fist into the area of GQ's kidneys to employ his speed against Question's strength!

Good Question swung and missed wildly, and took a shot right to the kidney! Upon impact it sent a dull pain in his back! However GQ wasn't looking to flinch and powered through the pain of the shot in order to turn around and attempt to swing a wild right hand to Salem!

Salem had felt good about his body shot to the back of Question's kidney, but as his fist impacted, GQ reacted with a swift turn and swing of his own, Salem unprepared for the big man's maneuverability! Taking a step back from the sheer size and explosiveness of his opponent, Salem felt like he was trying to box with a bear as the big, wild right came 'round, "Showtime" nearly tripping backwards over his own feet to avoid it!

Clipping him in the left side of his ribs, even the glancing blow was enough to cause great pain, fearing he could've had them broken if he'd taken the full punch! Stumbling awkwardly back into the ropes, a look of anxiousness and pain washed over Croft's face as he rubbed his stricken side, the crowd nervous for the "Gypsy Savage"!

Good Question stumbled around after swinging and missing wildly. The move along with how fast he was attempting to throw it at his size was rough to attempt, but the big man was rather reckless as a wrestler and it showed.

The big guy found his footing and stood there, staring down his opponent. The pain from the kidney shot coming in, but GQ didn't show any signs of feeling it. He still had one thing in mind which was to get his hands on Salem!

GQ stared down his challenger, now taking a slight "wait and see" approach for the moment.

Salem took a second to stare back at Question, eyeing the big man and watching for any sudden moves before cautiously approaching towards the giant! "The Copperhead" kept his hands up and open, knowing that a snake fighting with a buffalo would likely only get one good shot before he'd be stomped to pieces! Croft's fans in the crowd went from concerned to cheering, whether to boost Salem's resolve or their own, though, "Showtime" couldn't say. But as he drew closer to Question, he'd feint with some hand movements before shooting a snap kick to the side of GQ's left knee, employing some of his world-famous footwork with hopes of sticking and moving, aiming to strike and shuffle out of harm's way!

Good Question slowly put his hands up as well. The big man stepped forward, almost looking for what seemed like a lock up.

But instead he was lured into an incorrect read as Salem's kick landed flesh on the side of the knee of GQ! The leg buckled for a second, GQ slightly off balanced. However this angers the big Question, and he lunges forward again, attempting to get his hands around the neck of Salem!

Salem's kick connected with the tree trunk that was Good Question's leg, the large man's balance wavering only a split-second before the monster in Question got mad and tried to rush "Showtime" with an attempted chokehold! Salem, though, being more agile and maneuverable, sought to duck beneath the goozle try and slip behind GQ's blindspot, seeking to spin 'round and send another sharp kick to the side of the same knee, this time from Question's back!

The non cool head of GQ is his undoing at the moment as he swings and misses, and Salem is able to connect with another kick to GQ's leg! The 6 foot 9 man is chopped down a few feet as he drops to one knee, the other leg weak at the moment!

However GQ was still enraged after the second kick, but at the moment he was only able to fight back to both feet!

In a position that was surely a rare sight for the giant to be seen in, the crowd was a mixture of surprise and excitement as they witnessed Good Question drop to a knee following a couple debilitating blows to it! Salem, for his part, took a second of shock, himself, before he snapped back into action and redoubled his efforts, aiming a snap shin kick into the back of Question's one still-standing knee!

By the time GQ got to both feet, Salem landed yet another leg kick, this time to the back of his knee! GQ dropped to both knees, trying to reach towards Salem out of sheer frustration!

Salem felt the momentum start to shift alongside Question's balance, charging the ropes to both evade GQ's attempts to reach him while also picking up steam! Making finger guns on the rebound pointed at the goliath's head, "Showtime" would fire as he leapt, letting his momentum carry him with a dropkick aimed at Question's skull, the crowd clamoring with anticipation!
