How will being cursed affect your soquili's story? Odhran will become the legend and story that the bird family will tell foals about, to have them be good or else uncle Odhran will eat them. Be good unless you want to disappear into the grasp of Odhran. He is still loved by his grandparents, but other than that, no one tries to approach his.

How will your soquili's personality change? Sunrise Serenade, or Sunny has always been very optimistic. She knows her place in her rather large family and she's content with what she has. I can see the effect of the corpse powder as driving her down darker, devious pathways, inflicting emotional pain to all those around her. She doesn't even care to know her victims, she'll toy with them and move on. Her job, will basically be to strip everyone she meets of their own optimism, to leave them broken ... unable to find the light inside.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story? So, in all honesty, this is part of another shifter's storyline as well. Midnight's Whisper, who is one of Sunrise's older siblings, became a cursed shifter in order to sow discord among her familial line. That was her secondary objective. Her first objective was to hunt down those "gifts" that have been sent by the wishing star. Realizing that there are a lot more "gifts" out there in the Kawani Lands, Midnight has come to realize that she needs to have someone else terrorize the family while she's busy with her other objective.
It will be this desire alone, to be doing two things at once that will lead Midnight to coaxing Sunrise away from the safety of home in order to forcibly inflict corpse powder upon her younger sibling. Before the event happens though, Midnight will try to turn Sunny against the family by filling her sister's mind with lies. Once Midnight deems that she's done a worthwhile job of turning her sister against the rest of their family, she'll deceive Sunrise into ingesting the corpse powder and then leave a hapless creature nearby that her younger sibling will attack in order to bring about the final change.
Once Sunrise Serenade is a cursed shifter she'll set forth to right what are imaginary wrongs against her. She won't even realize that she's merely being used as a puppet from afar.

Darkfire has two personalities in her head that are constantly fighting each other. She is aggressive, reactive, and malicious. I firmly believe adding a curse to it would send her over the edge into full-on evil. The 'good side' she still has inside will cease to exist.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
There would be no more kind greetings. No more polite small talk. Only a hungry predator watching her prey.

How will your soquili's personality change? Maia’s original personality was optimistic and bright, always tries to find the beauty in everything if she can find one. She had an artistic muse nearly 24/7, using it to create trinkets and other works of ‘art’. Maia was also a bit of a push over, and kind of gullible. She was easily swayed by words, or would allow others to do whatever they wanted and what not without any form of protest.
When the corpse powder took effect, she had enough sense to get away from the herd when she notice her thoughts began to change. She felt malice and hate towards them, including her mate at the time. Luckily for her, in running away, she stumbled upon an Angeni who was caring enough towards a stranger to give her a charm.
It didn’t work right away but, slowly, all that maliciousness went away. Maia gradually returned to being a little kinder, her love for art also returning- though with a new love for the macabre genre. Now though, she’s not the usually push over that she once was. She is snappy, and stubborn and at times, finds herself lashing out at others. Most of the time, it’s verbally, but on occasion she would physically attack a soquili that gets on her nerves or rubs her the wrong way.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story? After being curse, Maia would leave her herd and break the bond with her lifemate while she is going through the change- mostly leaving for their safety while she still had some sense. Once she is charmed though, and she comes back to her senses, she does return to try to live her life again. It would be a learning experience to go from not liking the thought of violence unless through self-defense, to having more harmful thoughts and quelling them. She would have to not only, prove herself safe to her herd members, but prove herself trustworthy to her previous mate as he had bad experiences with other shifters- even charmed ones. Little by little, she would have to work out and show she wouldn’t betray him like the others have.

How will your soquili's personality change?
At first, Metawa would become cunning, cold, and aloof, abandoning her family and ignoring everyone she once knew. After being charmed, she would return somewhat to her old self, but this time filled with not only a new compassion for other shifters and understanding of what they've been through, but a drive to stop Oyahusa, no matter the cost.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
Metawa's story has often centered around her struggles with having a father who is a shifter, so this would flip their relationship on its ear! She had an interest in how shifters worked before, in her quest to charm and finally get to know her father, but this would shift her focus from just wanting to save her father, to wanting to save every shifter and their families. It would give her a purpose in life after her story arc with her father is complete, as well as give Megapi a chance to play the hero to charm his daughter.
(Fun fact: both of Metawa's parents are cursed shifters! Her father is a wolf shifter and her mother is a bat shifter.)

How will your soquili's personality change? Acanthia won't change much at first. She'll still be distracted by making potions, and dabbling in poisons. Being cursed will give her a little more of a temper when dealing with others. Till she gets used to it. She's never been very social, so other might think that's the shifter in her, but that's just who she is.
As she ages, her curiosity in darker things will increase.
Won't go out of her way to try and be like she was, or change. She will embrace whatever she becomes as a result of the curse.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story? It would bring her closer to her father, while she got accustomed to the transition. She's never been one to fight, but will be more likely to hold her ground if someone pushes her. Won't hold back either.

How will your soquili's personality change?
Right now Ren is a pretty basic guy, friendly and helpful without too much of a story to his name. He's almost a blank slate even though he's my first SoQ. The change would make him do almost a complete 180 personality-wise, making him more aggressive and seeking to make trouble rather than to help.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
It would breathe some life into him and give him a new life for me. I love him to death but his muse has never been very strong, so hopefully this would give him the jolt of inspiration for me. It would definitely set him down a new path and kick him out of the 'happy, safe' storyline he's been living in my head.

How will your soquili's personality change?
Genesis was already evil by nature but wanted to have a soft spot. He used to fight the voices in his head be good or evil, now those voices will be strictly evil and so will his personality. No longer will he be questioning what he is to do concerning others.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
He will have a purpose now where before he was lost in a sea of his own thoughts. Now, instead of focusing on the good, the bad, and the evil, he can focus on the latter of the three. It will take some time for him to get his bearings, but he will get there.

GLAD YOU ASKED. Raven is very much already somewhat chaotic, albeit restrained, often anxious, insecure, and prone to bluster.
Corpse pwder! means Raven's less anxious. She is charmed near immediately - within a day or two - but Raven's absolutely more chaotic and more hottempered. She's wont to, well, destroy her enemies and enjoy the benefits. A littke bit more aggressive, a less anxious sort.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
Currently? Raven's planned to wander about being relatively sassy. Cursed allows a full Wine Aunt Mom Friend with a penchant for causing a little chaos for funsies. Well more than she would uncursed. Technically, Raven being cursed to a shifter is probably Raven being tricked and Raven being charmed so fast is because Raven burned something down because she got moody and overreacted. Generally, while Raven is capable of chaotic uncursed.... Corpse Pwder cursing and Raven being a general chaotic gremlin makes sense and being tricked into being cursed is about on-brand. Legitimately a case of "You wanna learn moar power?" "Yes?" "Powder." "WOW RUDE...... Eh this might be fun okay."

She will no longer just be familiar with power but she will wield it. This will push her over the sensitive edge of believing she knows who she is and being of both light and dark. This will give her the strength and power she has so desperately sought after. She will no longer care if others are in pain or suffering. Instead of stepping in to help those in need, she would instead relish in it and move in to make it worse.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
Her life will once again change but it is to be determined if it is for the best or worst. She had fallen so hard for a stallion who helped her to realize her potential and what could be. She grew lonely and found herself heart broken with a part of her missing. She no longer knew who she was or what to do but drowned in her pain and sorrow. She has not been able to find any sort of peace. If she becomes cursed, she will no longer drown in her bitter emotions. She will become what she will believe to be a better version of herself. She will take great pleasure in bringing pain and heart break to others. No one should be happy, everyone should be miserable and know the pain she came to know.

Agares was born to two traveling healers but befell an accident that nearly killed him and left him colorblind and able to see the dead. After maaaaany years of drama, being separated by half of his family, his sister became sickly as well. When the whole family reunited and settled into Agares' grove they decided to make the journey to the Kateri Herd, a unicorn herd renowned for its healing. They were able to bring back his color vision, allowing him to see his rainbow-winged mate in all her glory for the first time. During the trek back home he is separated from the rest and cursed. He becomes violent and almost mad in his delirium. The family was travelling with an angeni and attempt to charm him immediately but he escapes. Thus ensues the Hunt to Charm Agares.

How will your soquili's personality change?
Graceful, well-mannered, and gentle as can be, ʻĀlohi is an ideal princess. By all means, she’s the perfect daughter. There’s just one problem: all of her sisters are just like her, and ʻĀlohi is painfully aware of this. Even after leaving her kingdom, she’s remained very much the same, and now suffers in her new role as a damsel in distress. Being rescued and coddled all the time does terrible things to one’s self-esteem.
Her transformation will allow her to make a name for herself in the worst way possible, hunting others and being absolutely delighted by her newfound strength. Strangely enough, becoming a shifter will give her a new sense of confidence that she lacked previously. The princess' refined manners will be tossed out the window as she chases down her prey like a hound from hell - toying with her prey, snapping at their heels, and commanding them to run for her entertainment.
How will being cursed affect your soquili's story?
Originating from the royal family of a small kingdom, ʻĀlohi finds herself somewhere in the middle, lost in a sea of siblings. Since striking off on her own to make a name for herself... she has landed herself the unfortunate role of damsel in distress, relying on others to rescue her from sticky situations during her travels. Hau, her wolf familiar, was the first of many to come to her rescue, now traveling alongside her and frequently fetching help. Although appreciative of the efforts of her rescuers, it just keeps happening, and ʻĀlohi can’t help but feel both frustrated and tired of being so... inept.
Cue the promise of power, a deal with a shady individual, and her transformation from beauty to beast. ʻĀlohi will be an absolute menace until she's finally captured and charmed. All hell will break loose when she realizes the irreparable damage she caused, the number of lives she took, and the fact that she walked into the deal so willingly.
