Savage Sons (C) vs [The Cult of the Serpent]

Rex got to his feet and looked to make sure that the ref was still distracted by Ramona acting a fool, threating to climb a random turnbuckle or get in the ring or pointing to a cultist in the crowd. He backed up out of his corner. As Kobra was moving slow, a couple sets of hands moved from under the apron in the opponent's corner. Each pair grabbing hold of Salem's feet.

Rex would move and as Erynys went to go for the spear, he would aim to counter it by drilling him in the skull with the tire iron, hoping to use the German's own momentum against him.  

[Salem Croft]

Salem saw Ramona buying time for Rex to breathe, but noticed the big man brandishing something as the referee was distracted with his sister! Trying to notify the official, Salem struggled to shout out and break the conversation up when he felt four Shands suddenly grip his ankles and pull him off the apron, hitting his face on the apron going to the outside!

He never saw the blow coming, so great was his rage. All he saw was the instrument of his misery and the only thing he felt was the desire to destroy and in doing so reclaim what was taken from Apex...from him.

As he closed the distance, the blow struck and his surroundings began to strobe and flicker as he vision went black. His face felt wet as the shot busted him open and he crumbled to the mat.

Kobra quickly and quietly slipped the tire iron out of the ring and back under the apron before moving to Erynys and covering him for a pinfall attempt. As Rex went for it, Ramona stared in stunned silence for a moment before gesturing to the attempt and going back to her own corner.  

[Salem Croft]

Salem was briefly staggered following the surprise intervention by the Cult, but quickly he got back up, throwing haymakers at the pair of fanatics before tossing them towards the barricade, trying to run them off before they interfered any further!

 

[Undead Superstar]

The cultists seemed to run for coever after takes several shots from The Copperhead. On the other side, Ramona fully disengaged, raising her hands and dropping down to show that she was done. As she dropped outside, she saw the cultists and Salem across the ring. Blood on Erynys. Looking around, she could see there the iron was laying. She was shocked. She knew that Rex wanted to win but she didn't expect him to actually play dirty to beat The Savage Sons.

With the ref still distracted for a moment, Rex sat back and barked at him to come count before once more covering Erynys in a pinfall attempt.

The ref obediently slid back into the ring and got in position as Rex covered the bloodied unconscious Reich. The crowd screamed for Salem to do something as the ref made the count.

"1..."

"Not this way!"

"2...."

" Not this way, not this way...Kick out!"  

[Salem Croft]

Salem had sent the cultists fleeing, but his attention shifted back to the ring as he heard the referee start to count a pin! This was bad! Scrambling to get up on the apron, Salem did his best to get through the ropes and dive to make a save, even as the official had counted to two!

"3!"

The bell rang and Rex rolled off of Erynys, immediately sliding from the ring. He smiled up at Salem who had just been a moment too late to save his partner. He marched around the ring and just grabbed the belts that sat by the announce table. He handed one to Ramona, threw one over his shoulder.

"And here are your new tag team champions. Rex Kobra and Ramona Tyler. The Cult of the Serpent."

Rex gestured for Ramona to follow him as he started heading back to the ramp. Ramona looked torn between loyalty and following and the hurt that they had to resort to such underhanded tactics. She looked to the ring and let out a breath before following Rex out.  

[Salem Croft]

Salem was almost on time but the referee managed to get to three before he could, "Showtime" slapping the mat on frustration as the bell rang and the crowd booed! Glaring up at Kobra as he quickly tried to flee the scene, Salem shot a weary glance at Ramona before checking on his bleeding partner, knowing along with the audience they'd just gotten screwed!

Consciousness was slow to return to him and he blinked as several times as his partner's hazy face came into view. He slowly began to sit up, his hand going to his busted forhead as he tried to get his wits about him.
