The ground was completely covered in a light dusting of snow as the stallion slowly made his way around. Being an ice tiger Arctic was enjoying the cold of the season. As he wandered around the edge of his home checking that everything was as it should be he noticed a strange haze in the air. He froze watching the haze wearily. Sensing no danger he carefully approached the hazy spot of air and accidentally walked right into it. Growing drowsy he stumbled and fell to his knees in the snow, he was asleep before he fully hit the ground.
Blinking in confusion Arctic looked around him. The ground was no longer covered in snow, there were booths covered in bright lights everywhere and there was what appeared to be a tattered circus tent in front of him. The sight tugged at a long forgotten memory from when he was younger. If he wasn't mistaken this was the Blood Moon Carnivale.
He walked from booth to booth taking in the sights and sounds. He no longer cared about how or why he was here. His mind was completely filled with enjoying himself, his responsibilities forgotten. Munching on cotton candy he wandered into the tent. Finding an empty spot among the crowd he watched the performances going on on the stage in the middle of the tent. While each performer was different in appearance they all had one thing in common a crimson colored crescent moon somewhere on there person. The feeling that something wasn't right about all this started to interfere with his enjoyment. A distant sound pulled his attention away from the stage.
"Arctic!" Someone was calling his name. Following the sound he walked out of the tent and past the booths, down the hill and through the village he continued to follow the voices calling his name until he came to another hazy spot of air. The voices were coming from the other side of the haze. Stepping into the haze he woke with a start. Shaking the sleep fog off he looked up at his worried sisters. It was the two of them that had been calling him. Standing he looked behind him, the haze was gone.
