Personality: Verbena is a stand-alone creature who is used to her own company and faces other Soquili with her guard up. They have to earn respect before she's comfortable with them. That's a problem in itself because those expectations are so very high. She has a very pessimistic personality, is stubborn, grumpy, suspicious, and secretive, but it IS possible for her to have fun. When nobody's watching, of course.
History: Verb's always been a wandering Soquili - dependant on herself and her wits for survival. Then a human caught her attention. A human living on the beach, cheerful, bouncy, also self-providing, who had managed to carve out a home in what can be a hard place to live. Her curiosity got the better of her and Cowrie soon knew about the Soquili and was determined to meet her. When other, much noisier people invaded the beach Verbena fled, but by chance crashed into Cowrie in the woods and they've been allies ever since.

Ortzi still makes her mad, though. Seagulls. Pssht.

One day a gull decided to build a nest on top of Cowrie's teepee. It didn't take long for him and the girl that lived there to become friends (especially since he got fish out of the deal) and she even gave him a name, Ortzi. So there he stays until this day, watching her do all that strange people stuff to pass the time.

Like most seagulls he has a wicked sense of humor and feels very clever when he employs it. He likes fish, fish, and more fish and of course accompanies Cowrie when she goes to get lunch, always in hope of a good meal.
