Near the settler's fort, resting on the beach is a...what is this thing? It is clearly leaning on one side, for the sticks holding it up are not of equal length. The covering itself appears to be made of a strange black cloth that is hastily (and badly) sewn together in many places. It appears to be Padre Miguel's clothing?! gonk Oh wait...there he is now, fully clothed. It's just his spare clothing. sweatdrop But as he enters what seems more like a place the clothing wouldn't cover than an opening, it seems that he intends for this to be his teepee... lol

Rules
1. Padre Miguel is fluent in both Spanish and English. For the sake of everyone's sanity, everything will be in English here. Say he's practicing by translating Spanish to English, or pretend OOCly that you have a babel fish in your ear...just know that Spanish fluency isn't a requirement for posting here.
2. Be courteous OOCly. I realize that Padre Miguel will probably get himself into trouble on numerous occasions, and his teepee itself is completely laughable, but be nice OOCly.
3. Feel free to post ICly in this teepee! If you must post OOCly, put brackets around it, lest you give Padre Miguel a heart attack from trying to understand modern talk.
4. If you see me online, and want to RP, feel free to ask me! 9 times out of 10 I'll say yes...the 1 time will probably be because I'm procrastinating on homework and don't want to get dragged into hours of RP to aid my procrastination. razz
5. More rules will be added as needed. But you're a nice bunch, so we won't need any more. Right?

About Padre MiguelFull Name: Miguel Hernadez Soto de Santiago Country of Origin: Spain What is their purpose for coming to the New World?: The purpose he states to other settlers is the standard glory, God, and gold response that he believes most colonists would find acceptable. He claims he is a second son of a noble who seeks to escape the hardships of the old country, with its wars and Inquisitions.
In reality, Padre Miguel is a Catholic priest who seeks to spread the true faith throughout the New World, by any means necessary. The reason he keeps this hidden is because he fears that the colonists he is sailing with are Protestants would kill him if they discovered his true identity.
Padre Miguel has learned English in order to communicate with the English. Originally, this was to spread the faith to England, but he gave this up quickly when he realized the hatred of Catholics after the reign of Bloody Mary was still present.
What is their description?: Miguel has a thin face and a large nose which sticks out from the rest of his face. His hair is dark brown, and both it and his goatee are trimmed short. His eyes are brown, and usually narrowed as if he were judging everything in the world around him.
Padre Miguel is always dressed in black or extremely dark colors.

About Arama
Breed: Spanish Barb Personality: Arama is a quiet horse who always works as well as she can, even if she is to the point of exhaustion. The only way to get her to rest when the saddle is on is if her master tells her to, or if he leaves her alone for a while. She doesn't know any other life, so why should she be any different? Besides, her ancestors have been just as respectful toward their masters, and she does not want to dishonor their legacy.
When the saddle is off, or when Padre Miguel leaves her for a while, she becomes a completely different mare. She is friendly, almost talkative. She is still fiercely loyal to her master, though, and will get into an argument with another Soquili if she thinks they are insulting her master.
