Welcome (but are you really welcome?) to the Black Skull Herd. This herd is founded on the belief that Kalona can co-exist if not harmoniously with one another, at least as a coalition. The co-founders of this Herd have agreed that there are simply too few Kalona, and too many lesser races for our kind to bicker with each other as we do. At least to the point of weakening our breed, and spreading out too thin. So, if you are a Kalona of good qualities (meaning, the qualities expected in a true Kalona), you may receive an invitation to join this Herd.

Rules of the Herd 1. You must respect the decisions of the Alpha and the Protector, though you are free to provide your own imput. 2. All posts must be made IC, and may contain some OOC comments or questions (I prefer that you use something to denote that, such as brackets). 3. You are to be mean, you are to be cruel, you are to be evil, but you are also to be yourself. If you have quirks? Use them. They will strengthen the herd. 4. Please roleplay formally. 5. If you have a problem with another member's behavior, bespeak them privately. 6. Humans (Two leggers) are neither welcomed, nor advised to visit this herd. Approach with caution.

Members of the Black Skull Herd Please PM me if your information is not filled out. No doubt, I do not have it. Maeryn: Maeryn is a passionate, intelligent, and darkly evil Kalona. She has her moments of diplomacy, and in fact it is those that have brought her to create a herd. She believes, strongly, that her kind are falling into a rut, and is strong minded enough that she will do something about it if she has the means. She is beginning to form a sort of partnership with Necro, seeing in her a good number of the qualities that she admires in her race. She has a strange distrust for males, anchored in her experiences as a Kalona foal among Stallions of the lesser races, and is working to overcome that. She sees it as a liability, but cannot help but feel some hatred and mistrust upon encountering males. She is thoroughly disgusted by some of the behavior that has been exhibited by a handful of members of her breed, and is taking steps to bring together a strong faction of Kalona. Her cause is the betterment of their race, and she will achieve it by hook or by crook. Rotschreck: Rötschreck is a true villain when it comes to mannerisms and beliefs. He's both evil and intelligent. He prefers to talk his way into or out of a situation but is not above brute force when it's absolutely needed. Normally, a herd is something he'd stray away from but his species disgusts him. It seems more and more Kalona are coming out pansies with the mannerisms of a flutter or alicorn. It nearly sickens him physically seeing his race lowered to such a level. He hopes that with this herd, some Kalona can band together and bring true terror and glory to the race. Necro: Necro doesn't know where she belongs. She does however, realize that she and Maeryn see eye to on on many things and if there was to be a Kalona herd, this would be the one to join. The Kalona are suffering and something needs to be done to prevent it. Necro isn't quite living or dead, she is a demon caught somewhere inbetween and as such, she has some quirks about her. She finds herself with a real taste for flesh, an unquenchable taste and particularly likes to eat the brains of other creatures. She can have periods where she seems lucid but at other times, she can be truly terrifying. Misery: Misery is perhaps the most distrustful member within the herd. She believes her mother and father to be among the most powerful Kalona but is curious to see if this herd can bring their race together. Perhaps the biggest motivation for her membership is actually her brother, Calamity, which is a disgrace to both her family and her kind. If the herd fails, it's not like she loses anything out of it anyway, and it might at least allow her to meet others of her kind. Toku: Toku is very stubborn and ignorant, he doesn't see eye to eye with most others and will always continue to argue a point long after said topic is dead and over. By joining the heard maybe some one can teach him to be a bit less of an a** and more of a Kalona.

Rötschreck snickered as he paced around the location that Maeryn picked out for their herd. Was it their herd? Did he really have a part in it, he wondered. He couldn't see the Kalona in this herd as really needing a protector and the title didn't make him feel any more comfortable. It sounded... nice.
Still, it had its merits. The race could become better with this herd and he could help shape it into his idea of how the Kalona should be. It was definately better than sitting and suffering the stupidity of one Kalona stallion after another.
Rot snorted at the totem that was nearby. It was really old and was on the land before Maeryn happened upon it but it did suit them. It looked evil and it seemed like the two-leggers avoided this area. They always were superstitious but that worked in their favor afterall. It was like this area was just waiting to be claimed.

Toku slowly made his way to the grounds he had heard rumors about, suaposedly another Kalona Maeryn was pulling togeather a new heard.
He steped in to the clearing and pondered the results of him and Rot being in the same heard. The first was total disgust and distrust in the other. On the other hand at least he knew of the Kalona that he was far from being soft in any way.
"Well this isn't much of a surprise..."

The idea of a herd of Kalona was certainly a foreign one. Maeryn shook her head. Could they really make it work? Perhaps. She had identified two of the members of her 'herd' as being potential problems, and kept that in the back of her mind as she cantered across the territory that they had claimed as their own. Misery, at least, was everything that embodied the spirit of a Kalona, but the other? He could do with some work. His attitude, certainly.
If they were to be successful with their mission, they would need to work together. Yes, the idea was distasteful, yes, it was a bit odd. But, really... their race was falling apart. It needed fixed. She flicked her tail, and stood proudly, fiercely, watching for outsiders.
Perhaps she would suffer the company of her fellows, but... others? Certainly not. If she had to put up with them, she would make certain that they regretted it. Maybe in a physical way, maybe by more subtle means.

Rot turned and nearly groaned as he spotted the Kalona that had addressed him. It was one of the stallions he had run into some time ago that seemed to stupidly want to pick a fight.
"I wish I could share your surprise but alas, I cannot. You are in dire need of guidance," the ruby stallion gritted out before adding, "and this is the place for you to be to attain that."

Toku grunnted turning to eye the totem rather then Rot knowing very well this was going to lead to a wonderfull friendship. More like a mutual agreement that would keep them both from trying to kill the other or something like that.
"You make it sound like I didn't even think about that when I joined." He finally turned to acknowledge Rot. "I've put some thought in to joining this heard. It was either that or getting in to more arguments with other Kalona, sadly most of them arn't as entertaining as argueing with you."

Oh bloody hell. Of all the Kalona for Maeryn to encounter, did it have to be the two stallions of the group? Well, at least it wasn't Misery's brother... what was his name? She'd forgotten, and was quite happy to have it remain that way. Ah well. It would probably be best to go greet them.
... Or something. All this sweetness and light was sickening, almost made her physically ill. Yes, she did want to form alliances between Kalona, but... "entertaining"? She snorted, pawing the ground. "Good. If you've already thought of that, then you won't have to be reminded of it later," the mare said, joining the conversation without preamble.
