I don't want this to sound like I'm condemning Emerell for wording the topic like this, because that's not how I mean it. I just think this is something important to think about.

A lot of people are kind of excited about all this for various reasons. Some people don't like Foley, some people absolutely hate Republicans... the list goes on. But, personally, I don't see anything to get happy about. Sure, it's a black mark for the party that tends to shove it's morals in our faces and has a hissy fit every time a Democrat is involved in a scandal. But think about what's really important here... the kid. And people can point out his supposed age when this email was sent, or that IM conversation happened... but he is young, and there's a significant age difference. For all intents and purposes when it comes to maturity issues and such, he's a kid. A kid got hurt in all of this. I think that's what needs to be focused on, and that's why there's nothing happy about this.
