The Holiday Iris is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda's L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris' handsome brother Graham and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur, mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles. Worst Christmas movie in 2006! and i don't have to watch it, to know. -Cocoa heart

I'm a HUGE Jack Black fan. And I thought that he was great, as usual.
I thought that Kate Winslet was really good, too.
Jude Law and Cameron Diaz are talented, but they can't compete with Jack Black and Kate Winslet.
I enjoyed it, but it was (predictably) predictable. But really, what chick flick isn't?
In truth, it was satisfyingly shallow. I know not to expect a deep and thought-provoking plot from a chick flick. It was exactly what I wanted when I saw it: a film that didn't require to much contemplation or concentration.

The Holiday seems really....odd. I mean, who agrees to trade houses with a complete stranger? But, as unprobable as it is, it might happen somewhere. It seems like a major chick flick... case in point my mother wanted to go see it. Since I am not a major chick flick fan I am afraid I am going to have to pass.

I'm Not sure ..., because I haven't seen it yet .. But I think It's a movie I will like ... Also seen "Closer" With Jude Law .. And that movie was really great .. so If it's about romance/affairs and with Jude Law .. It might just be great too

I'm not really into these kind of movies, maybe I'll see it when it comes out on HBO or something.

I'd do it, but then, I'm a really strange person.
