This is something I've noticed happens a lot in this guild. Now, I know sometimes you feel like three pages is too much to read. Sometimes you just feel so angry or excited you post in response only to the original post. All I ask is that if you do this you read the whole thread after posting and then edit your post based on what you've read.
There's no point in posting if nobody reads it, right? If you don't read the whole thread, this can happen:
"Did you know that dolphins make sounds with their blowholes?"
"I just wanted to say that dolphins make noise with their blowholes!"
"Dolphins make noise with their blowholes! I bet you didn't know that! blaugh "
See how annoying that is to read over and over again? After the first post, it isn't a contibution anymore. If you're disappointed that someone beat you, quote it and agree with the first post. That way, the fact is getting backed up without flooding the boards uselessly.
Really, 3 or 4 pages isn't bad at all. On a forum I frequent, threads can reach 60 pages and you DO get banned if you don't read it and post something useless. It sounds rough, but it makes those forums the best you'll ever find. Please do this, and the guild will be so much better for everyone.
