5-18-2017 Duran's profile is updated and all the background I had in mind (or what I can remember), but hadn't revealed yet, during Burning Lust is there. The reason I didn't do it; story development. I didn't want the character to be known well.
4-28-2017: Updated BlackMN's profile and added some history. Might be a work in progress update as I have to reread a lot it seems, but I'll probably polish up other characters before I finish this one.

Phobias and Fears: Claustrophobic when she's in a small space or tied up against her will, the Niearcim, and Goblins. She also fears that GL will suddenly stop coming to visit her some day.
Weapons: Tooth and claw. On occasion dagger, chakram, mallet, special sling shot Rosemary found for her in Limbo, or Rosemary's gun. Items always with her. A little satchel full of acorns and seeds, cell phone, tissues, healing potion.. Current Special Abilities: natural ability to cast fire spells, total mimicking ability of non-living objects, limited mimicry of living creatures (can look like them, but not be about as good as the real thing due to current lack of other abilities), improved self-healing, illusions, ability to enter flames and absorb its energy, & limited teleportation skills. Future Special Abilities: Complete fire manipulation, mind reading, improved illusions, mind illusions, reality twisting, voice mimic without turning into said person. Special notes: BlackMN is quick on her feet and quite agile and limber in just about any form. She is quickest however in her fox form. She is best at making sudden stops and quick changing of direction. About as physically strong as a strong human in comparison of size strength (weak for her species), but is superior in her illusions and fire abilities for one untrained her age. She has a very good sense of hearing. Her sense of smell is even better and is much better than Rosemary's and Veni's. She can speak and understand Merper. In a dangerous situation she prefers to run and hide. She is mostly a vegetarian, but will eat clam chowder on occasion and is one of the few exceptions. She becomes weird and maybe even vicious when she eats meat. History: BlackMN lost her parents at a young age and remembers very little about them. Her father was silly is one of the few things she can remember. She looks more like him in fox form being a red fox normally, but sometimes she takes on a fox form more like her mother's white with blue grey tips. She doesn't really remember the incident that took them from her, but she remembers ending up with a very scary man and some scary children (Dan and Daisy being among them), but not much detail. It is possible Rosemary sealed her memory of this as it would be quite a bad memory. She ended up with a scary woman (Rosemary).
One of her early memories of Rosemary is being carried while feeling very tired and weak. The arms and body didn't feel warm to her. Dan and Daisy were on either side of this woman looking up, but at who it was unclear. She lived for a little while with the rest of the vampires before Rosemary took her away to where they live now. She found Rosemary to be quite intimidating and scary. Though looking back she can't say she was mean to her, but at the time she thought she was. Being a vampire Rosemary made several mistakes in her care, such as how and what she fed her. BlackMN ended up teaching herself how to cook early on and Rosemary made sure it wasn't all junk.
Though Rosemary cared for her, it was in more of a stiff manner as she wasn't very good at showing affection and was quick to let her know when she was being annoying. However there were little things she did that let BlackMN know that she loved her like letting her kiss her sometimes though it was obvious the vampire was unsure how to properly react to it. Christmas was usually the best for this. It wasn't until Rosemary started to make friends did she learn how to be more intimate towards the girl and friendly in general.
One day a strange note was left in the arcade. Someone had appeared in that very room without using the normal entrances to the house. BlackMN set up a trap to catch him next time and that's how she met Galantros Lazeranos (GL). She talked to him and liked him almost instantly. GL had come from a place called Limbo. She convinced him to visit once in a while, but his visits were so frequent that she dedicated a room to him and he even decided he wanted to maintain the game room. Eventually he took her to Limbo along with Rosemary. Rosemary had found his clumsiness to be quite charming and was curious of this other realm.
Soon the two of them met his father, his cousins, Chewy, Githar, Malos, Minazai, and Gerix. At this point they only heard of Jacob and a few other of his friends. At home several people came and went as this was a period it seemed where the most visited. Eventually Daphne showed up and what a strange one she was. She could do or at the very least not flinch at a lot of what Rosemary did. She ate BlackMN's cooking without getting sick! Rosemary tried to take bites on occasion to be nice, but often couldn't keep it down.
During a visit to Limbo Rosemary participated in a fighting contest, but was badly injured. Veni somehow got someone to take him there and he nursed her. Soon some evil creatures called Hunter Demons attacked. Rosemary and BlackMN were separated because of their mind tricks. BlackMN got out of the area first while Rosemary managed to take out some of the demons with her vampire abilities and strategic mind. These demons are covered in armor, but she managed to use her spiders to tell her where the joint areas are and bats to locate them when her vision failed. Some Niearchim mage had staged attack and I think soon after this they met Jacob. In the end BlackMN received many hugs and kisses from Rosemary.
This incident had led to Rosemary being a target for the mages. In their next encounter BlackMN had been targeted to be killed as not necessary, but Rosemary threw her out of the area. It was nearly sunrise so she was quite worried for her mother. It was in this scene that she grew her second tail though when she went to find Rosemary she could not. Instead she ended up with Daphne and Githar. I think it was in this scenario or the next one Black was involved in which she almost gravely injured Githar. (I really have to look this one up as the order of events are muddled).
In the end Daphne had helped provide moral support for her when the incident left Rosemary a mess and somehow the angel of wind. BlackMN was never really clear on how this happened, but neither was Rosemary beside some strange being approaching her and offering it to her along with a place BlackMN could go to be safe. Thus BlackMN was now able to enter Heaven for sanctuary when the situation was dire. (Though I think the one time she ended up there she was put to sleep the whole time.)
BlackMN liked to play with these new wings and try to grab them. She was in charge of the house for a while as Rosemary stayed in Limbo to try to become better with her telepathy and learn how to keep others out of her head. BlackMN tried to stay cheery for her mom, but truth be told she was worried for her and scared she would be taken away. She enjoyed the boon of ear scratches though.
The next adventure landed her at the Soul Fortress for an extended stay. It was in part because the place released an energy that made it difficult to worry and because she liked the Grim Reapers Xylanthos and Tiamos. She enjoyed a swim in the lava pool while there. However when Rosemary came back, she was quite beaten and so was Galantros. BlackMN started to date him either right before this or right after this incident that led Rosemary and he to the land of Niearcim.
A few days after this Cian showed up. BlackMN was afraid that this vampire would try to bite her at first, but now she is more comfortable around him and doesn't think he will... but then again they are dangerous. Anyways...Jacob became a larger part of her life at this point and he even started to read some to her at night. Veni also became more active too, but he didn't regard her in a manner that said he thought of her as his child.
Character Quirks: Hygiene: She prefers to be surrounded by hot water and thus she is the bath type. In fact she is the social bath type that prefers a hot spring and will often drag Rosemary into taking a bath with her. She will sponge bathe most of herself and have others scrub her back if available, use a strawberry scented shampoo preferably, and rinse before getting into the spring. BlackMN rarely wears perfume save for special occasions and when she does it is a light fruity floral scent like that found in Clinique’s Happy to Be or Harajuku Lovers Love. She sometimes will use a baby powder scent. Otherwise she mostly wears lotions, usually coconut. Often wears lip-gloss and carries it on her. If she is to take a bath in a normal tub she will add bath salts or oils. She typically bathes every other day, but will do it on a non-bath day if she feels she got dirty or sweated enough. She prefers to take them before she goes to bed. She also brushes her teeth 2x daily, uses mouthwash, but rarely flosses. Brushes hair once a day with a pick, but loves it when Rosemary brushes her hair. She wears deodorant.

Weaknesses: (non-fatal) Bright lights aimed at her eyes, receiving a lot of thought noise when she can't block it out, high pitched and loud noise from many sources or one depending on the situation both of which are hearable and not to humans, living walls, need to be invited or taken into buildings or building areas that are living areas (public places or sections aren't a problem), the inability to get someone out of her head once they're in, silver, BlackMN, Veni, and her friends. Becomes frustrated and angers easily. Slow to forgive. Large crowds after a couple hours. Her own sense of morality and a tendency to feel like she is a monster for what she is.
Personality: Slightly overbearing and a tad arrogant (these traits gained after she became a vampire and over the years, since she knows she is stronger than most anyone around her and, until recently, has gotten used to the fact that she could plow through almost anything.) Quiet, stubborn, busybody, proud, and slow to forgive. Quick to anger, tactician, serious, suspicious of those she's unfamiliar with, intelligent, she comes off as cold and closed but she is trying to open up to others. Hates showing weakness and will strive to appear strong even when her moral is down. Rosemary is the kind of person who always seems ticked at something when she shows any emotion, however her mood has softened a bit after the Memorie's Lost rp. Almost never laughs, hardly ever smiles, takes pleasure in other people's discomfort (smiles the most here), and yet hates to be that way herself. Cannot stand to have a foreign mind in her head, without her permission. She despises most (especially human) men and doesn't care that much to be around many people, a trait gained when she was still alive because she couldn't stop listening to people's thoughts. If she feels threatened, most of the time she would rather shoot first and ask questions later. She prefers to stand her ground.
Rosemary doesn't think of herself as being a good person especially since she can kill without a second thought about it, but at the same time she realizes she's not as completely terrible as she could be. Her doubts in what she should and shouldn't do has increased since she gained angel status as she feels her vampire powers contradict what she should represent. Thus she is shaky and highly uncertain about it. She is slightly vain appearance wise.
Phobias and fears: Losing BlackMN especially with the increased danger that seems to come with Galantros, getting locked into small spaces, the Niearcim & becoming one, Coatli.
Weapons: (All stored within the pocket dimension of the elite armor.) *** Limboian Heavy Suppressor 4 1/2' long. Fires powerful crystal ammunition. Weighs several hundred pounds. 500 rounds w/o magazine. 6 barrels, presumably a rotating design for fast firing. Settings: single shot, several different types of bursts, up to full automatic. Speeds: Fast, faster, nearly invisible ***There was a particuarly nasty little sniper rifle where the round would not only penetrate just about any target and make a huge hole... but it would actually have an AI chip in the round that would do several things... jagged spikes would jut out of the round inside the body, then a randomized energy charge would cause it to explode violently, sending nasty shrapnel out... but *then*, each piece would retravel back and reform the round. The explosion was a controlled one, causing more damage, and *then* it would explode for real after the bullet put itself back together, destroying the round in the victim's body ***Stunning Leecherx2 spiked wrist blade... as it slash and stabbs its target, it steals energy and tries to empty as much blood as possible. The energy was again used to shock and paralyze it's target. made of melted mixture of black hunter shell, goblin claws, and certain metals and crystals inside Limbo lava ocean. Probably only powerful magic could break it. Blade length is adjustable (between 1 and 4 feet) ***Quckshot Launcher- Shoots small, thin rocket projectiles that can reload automatically at a rapid pace from Rosemary's dimensional pocket in her suit ***** Various grenade type/like explosives ***Elite armor *******Magic Energy Removal System (M.E.R.S.) High Density Mass Quantity RE Blast explosive packs- remote detonated usually, used for terra forming mostly Baby Desert Eagle handguns (These weapons can blow a watermelon into bits and chunks with a single shot) and 4 extra magazines. Other Items typically on her person: Little sample vials and containers, cellphone, pocketbook, breath strips, jewelry (need to look up specifics), Muerte's soul casing, sharp needle/blade hair things, blood candy, regular lollies, band-aids, and other things related to her profession that I may have not thought of. She usually wears a lab coat while at home or when she's doing a house call. She'll sometimes wear one when out and about.
Special Non-Vampire Abilities : Born with the ability to hear thoughts as if they were spoken.
Vampire Abilities of Note: Incredible strength even for a vampire (she can probably carry 100x her weight... she knows she can carry about 6tons and isn't sure how much more she can go, since she hasn't tried past that.). Even Veni doesn't want to be punched by her. Able to transform her body into various shapes related to her familiars, but isn't quite as fast or good at it as Veni. Her main special power is an aura she can control that increases the fear emotion in most creatures. Immune to almost all poisons or weak to them for a short period till she adjusts. Familiars: Fox, bat, & spider. Future Familiars: Bear, maybe Wolf & Centipede
Angel Abilities: Enhanced flying, ability to take on the form of air (learned easily due to her mist ability), create powerful gusts of wind by flapping her wings, manipulating the air to be razor sharp (similar to the thing she taught Githar with energies), the ability to go out into the daylight all day without having herself covered, and the ability to wear crosses and enter churches if she so desires. (People of worship beware oO; ) Angel Abilities Partially Mastered: Tornadoes Angel Abilities she's working on: removing all breathable air from a small area, and picking up things with the air and squeezing. Future Angel Abilities: Removing all the breathable air from a large area, using it as an 'invisible' weapon, using it as a calming effect, a way to enhance her punch even more, and probably a lot of stuff I haven't thought of.
Acquired Abilities from Jacob: His Necromatic intuition. (Basically a really bad or really good feeling about something that is usually right.)
HistoryRosemary was born with the gift to hear the thoughts of others. Many thoughts would be as clear as if they had just spoken them and she would often respond to the unsaid which had left people thinking her peculiar. When she figured out it was the thoughts she heard, she soon learned to keep the gift to herself. For a while she wouldn't answer people unless she saw their lips move herself which possibly led people to think her hard of hearing and dumb. Eventually she learned to tell the difference, but not how to tune it out well and grew bitter when she picked up on the thoughts of men when she was blossoming into a young lady.
Thus she liked to keep to herself. She was an only child until about the age of 11 to 13. Her mother died soon after gifting the family with a brother. This soon spawned her interest in learning if there wasn't things people could learn to do better when it came to childbirth. With the age gap she possibly was more of a mother figure to her brother than an older sister.
The first time Rosemary remembered seeing Veni, she was doing something a bit controversial; examining a dead body. She had been interested in medicine and how the body worked ever since her mother had passed away soon after giving birth to her brother. In truth she didn't want the same fate to befall her. She saw him soon again and it was revealed, once she got passed the suspicion of blackmail, that his intention was to court her.
For her it was a relief and weird to not know what was on the mind of someone. Veni back then appeared to have brown eyes to her and had used his abilities to look older than he really is. He had used a lot of tricks to keep her from knowing that he was anything but human. She was a bit more religious back then which proved a challenge for Veni especially when it came to their wedding.
Soon after they were married, Veni struck, but Rosemary wasn't aware of what was happening to her until she came back. She was quite physically strong and had a fear aura, which horrified Veni that his wife ended up with that like one he despised. She didn't wake up fully for several weeks and during this time accidentally killed her father who had figured out where they were. In fact that's what she woke up to as a vampire. Guilt ridden Veni took the slap she gave him, but was very surprised at the force behind it. He had thought earlier that a lot of her strength was due to a lack of a conscious and that it was more zombie like. He didn't let himself get hit after that.
Rosemary was unruly in those early days. So much so that Veni used his influence over her to keep her from being destructive. Before he could truly calm her down Nefretiri summoned them back. Nefretiri was both pleased and displeased with the results and had Veni locked in a small area. Meanwhile she was trying to figure out what she wanted to do with Rosemary and found out that Rosemary was quite angry with him. She decided to teach Rosemary how to use her aura and forced her to use it often and on quite a number of people. She often used a starvation tactic for this, which really only required a couple nights of no feeding for one that young. By the time she saw Veni again, she hated him. But as they were married, Nefretiri saw it fit for them to share a room.
It would go on for centuries where some days Rosemary was nicer to Veni than others where she flat ignored him. She herself didn't see other men and kept to her marriage vow in that sense and had silently warned Veni that he'd better not seek out another woman. Sometime after he brought back Ma, she had started to become friendly towards him. By the time she had brought back BlackMN they were having as normal a relationship as they ever had.
When she met the girl is when she realized that one of her familiars was a fox. The girl was tied up in a room that housed a caged Dan and Daisy. She had just killed their father and they survived. Rosemary was captivated enough by the fox demon that she ignored the two of them whom she planned to eradicate. She thought them to be mindless like all the other children and possibly insane from the death. Dan had yelled at Rosemary to "get away from her" while Daisy was pulling him away from the bars. Even though he said this Rosemary could tell that the two of them were hungry enough to go after her themselves. She brought them several rats before she released them and took the three of them home.
Though at this age BlackMN lacked control of her fire skills so Rosemary took her away and developed something that helped suppress it. This was good for Rosemary to get away for she learned how to be a better person again with BlackMN. Then when BlackMN had started to make many friends, she started to lose her awkwardness around other people though she still comes off as harsh and intimidating.
Making friends however came with its consequences because with it came their enemies. While in the new land of Limbo a creature called a Niearcim mage summoned a bunch of Hunter Demons to the area she was at. Hunter demons are considered quite dangerous as they have a hive mind, can confuse their prey with illusions, and have armored skin in which the joints are the only weak spots. Rosemary managed to kill several of these using many of her vampire abilities which caught the eye of the demon god Jiluzix himself.
Her next encounter with them almost had her taken away. This incident is where she meant Coatli; a very powerful SOB who specialized in poisons, decay, telepathy, and complete domination of his target. He was both at least as fast as Veni and as strong as her as he could keep up with Veni's blows and overpower him, but Rosemary wasn't fast enough to even hit him. Thus Coatli easily defeated them in this encounter. He also spent a good portion of this in Rosemary's head showing her things.
Thus he was the first being she's met with the power to completely dominate her in almost every way and leave her feeling helpless and powerless against him. Being physically stronger than even most vampires and highly skilled at what she does, not to mention an aura that induced fear of her into her challengers, she had little worry of being completely overcome without being able to adequately put up a struggle from anything on her home world. However the mages, especially Coatli, shattered this. In the end they miraculously escaped, but many in her family died and Nefretiri went missing. In her dismay an unknown being approached her and offered her the angel of wind position and a way for BlackMN to escape dangers. After this incident Jacob started to stay at the house more often.
Coatli possibly did something unbeknownst to anyone that allowed him to sense her when she was near for he spotted her at a distance in a crowd while in robes and almost instantly captured her. This second encounter with Coatli left her with the knowledge that he was much like her in many ways: before becoming a Niearcim mage he was a telepath. Where she typically reads/listens to the the top most thoughts he used his telepathy to dig deeper into her memories, implanted some of his memories/visions, completely dominated her will, forcing her body to move as he saw fit, and overall mind raped her (as she would put it). Some of the visions imprinted included the future he saw for her or how he wanted her to see the present. With how vivid they are she sometimes finds herself confused on if certain points are the reality. For example despite her certainty that she did not drink any of his blood willingly until it was forced down her throat, her memory of the incident as he wanted her to remember suggests otherwise and thus what really happened has become muddled in her mind and she doubts herself.
She is also disturbed with the realization that she could possibly learn to be a teleparth like him with experimentation and even be like him which could have happened had her friends not saved her. The only thing he didn't do was physically rape her, likely due to his physical inability, but he did in so many other ways as far as Veni's concerned. Not only was he superior in his telepathy, but he was faster and about, if not, as strong as her. Unlike her he was a killer before he became a mage where as she started after becoming a vampire. In the end Milaku killed him instead of her when he had her at her lowest forcing her to nearly mortally wound GL.
Though she was only in their custody for a few hours, much damage was done to her psyche that still lingers to this day. The two encounters left her with enough knowledge of some of their spells that she could possibly cast some and rituals which she would rather have not known about or at least not know so intimately. As he always bested her at everything this has possibly left her unsatisfied as she never really got to conquer her fear of him. She is still left with nightmares about him; some of the dreams come from his memories with she being he in them. She inwardly shudders at the mere thought of him. She also suspects that a pool is going amongst certain angels as to how long it'll take her to fall from grace because of these incidents. More recently she found out that he's the one who messed up Jacob's face and thus caused one of the most painful days in his curse cycle.
Soon after this second encounter Cian showed up in search of Daphne. Rosemary assured her that she wouldn't let anything bad happen to her, but she wouldn't confront him if he didn't try anything. However she was still ill from her last encounter with Coatli mere days ago, so Jacob still had to examine her and remove the contamination which would have eventually corrupted her and spread to Veni and his vampires. He did and to prevent future incident she got a good taste of his blood which would be the start of them forming a significant bond together. Veni drank the cursed necromancer's blood later that evening.
Never getting a break soon after Cian's arrival another incident occurs in which Daphne and BlackMN were possessed by evil spirits. (I believe it is in this one that Daphne discovered her healing abilities (might have been a previous one)). In the end Daphne is one of the least injured and tired so she heals Rosemary's head enough to help with a head injury that left her disoriented.
(I am fairly certain) After this Rosemary and/or Veni helped assure Daphne that they don't think Cian to be a completely bad person. It was Rosemary's idea that they double date until Daphne was more comfortable around Cian, with the hidden agenda of until Rosemary was satisfied he wasn't going to spirit her away. Daphne finally got what happened straight and falls in love with Cian. The two married and most of the residents played some part in the wedding.
Jacob soon became the two vampire’s most common “victim” for blood. It became difficult for he and Rosemary to hide anything from each other as their thoughts flowed almost freely between the two which left Veni a little jealous. Rosemary slightly gained his sort of intuition while his temper and physical strength increased. The three of them started to do leisurely activities together, made sure he ate like he should instead of the habit of skipping meals, and somewhat broke Jacob of his habit of staying up multiple nights to study. They also tried their best to soothe and comfort him during the painful parts of his curse. Their powers, whether through hypnotism or feeding, alleviated the more minor pains.
Often the three of them would fall asleep in the same bed, sometimes with BlackMN. Veni went into his paralyzed sleep while Rosemary slept more like a human with dreams ever since becoming an angel. Jacob helped her with the particularly bad ones. While Daphne was away, Jacob became more than just a friend to Rosemary and Veni. He found a way to restore his physical appearance, a key ingredient being vampire blood, and jumped right into it which angered Rosemary for his lack of caution. Oddly enough soon after this Jacob started to shy away from Veni and his vampire kiss; possibly in denial of some of his feelings he may or may not have been aware of.
When Rosemary started to think Jacob was starting to have romantic feelings for the two of them due to his dreams, she talked to Veni about it. Though Rosemary was uncomfortable with the idea she agreed to not shoot down Jacob should he try to act. The man had never been in a relationship before so she found his intentions to be pure in a way. When Jacob finally admitted he wanted more from the relationship verbally, with encouragement from Rosemary, the two of them accepted and agreed to date him. Jacob soon expanded his house and made a more proper room for vampires. His bedroom was originally in the living room and the light wasn’t blocked quite adequately enough.
Jacob had tried so hard to please them and found ways to use his powers to pleasure them as they had done with theirs to him, that Rosemary soon loved him the way she loved Veni. By the time Daphne and Cian came back she and Veni were talking about purposing to him. Sometime after Cian and Daphne returned, Jacob left to do some difficult deed he felt he needed to do. Unsure of how long it would take and going to a place whose environment was nearly unlivable to vampires, and humans for that matter, they were forced to stay behind. He was the hero type after all that tried to save others from the Niearcim or Hell if he could which was one of the things Rosemary loved him for. Veni and she had their responsibilities to others. Fortunately Daphne and Cian decided to stick around so they have been enjoying their company and hopes they continue to stay for many years to come. Rosemary is surprised to find that Cian even isn't good at transformations, so she and Veni had plans to try to teach them if they could be taught, but before they could Nefretiri returned.
Character Quirks: Hygiene: Rosemary’s bathing habits are actually surprising. She prefers to only bathe when she feels like she needs it. When she is working she will frequently wash her hands and clean up for it as expected. She probably takes more baths than she would because of BlackMN and Veni. When left to her own devices she most likely will take a shower. She actually started taking them more often when she started to bathe BlackMN when she was little. She would take her bath when she cleaned the child. When BlackMN got older the practice continued mostly from the girl's insistence. Rosemary doesn't mind it. In fact she doesn't think anything of the practice considering it was common for women and children to bathe together in her era. She enjoys being splashed by the kitsune when they are in the spring together, though she puts on an angry face and will send a wave back at the assailant. The types of soaps and shampoos she will use are often herbal and have rosemary in it. She almost never wears perfume, lotion, or a fragrance. She wears a talcum powder to reduce the reflectiveness of her skin (Veni will also do this too). When she does wear a scent it is either of rose water, a rose or sweet pea scented lotion, a perfume someone bought her, or smell of talcum powder. Rosemary brushes her hair once a day, sometimes twice, and finds it soothing to have her hair brushed by others. She frequently braids it before bed. Rosemary has the softest skin. BlackMN and Rosemary make the best pillows for cuddling. She brushes her teeth and uses mouthwash twice a day despite the sting.

The first time I saw Rosemary, almost 800 years ago, she was about this tall. A little girl at the time...I don't remember how old. I was walking fast among the populace fast enough that I couldn't be seen, like most vampires do. I was there for business reasons. As I came close to her and her mother, it seemed like she turned to look at me. I glanced back at her and, as I had no particular important goal, I followed her home. She was relieved to be at home for reasons other than child awkwardness amongst adults as I later found out.
I stayed and watched a little while before I left and then I would keep running into the little girl with the green eyes and her mom and I would follow her on the occasions that I did run into her. I found out she got headaches amongst people and responded to a person as if they said something when they hadn't. The adults seemed disturbed as if it was beyond idle child curiosity and this aroused mine.
I presented myself as a cat and she took me and invited me into her house. I was her pet Dragos meaning 'precious peace' for many years until I saw it fit to 'die' of old age a few years after her mom died, but while I was there she talked to me of almost anything. Because of her telepathy she isolated herself from almost everyone and had recently become afraid to talk about it to anyone, but me. Everyone didn't believe her and called her a liar when she would say things so she had decided to keep her mouth shut. She told me everyone's secrets she had found out. She told me that she liked me because I listened to her and didn't have a foul temper when she said silly things.
She liked to read and try to learn things considered improper for a lady so I of course made sure she was able to. She also back then had such a temper... I found out that she hadn't only caught my attention, but that of other vampires and as I had started to feel possessive of her I dealt with them accordingly. I had also dealt with any arranged suitors that I came across. I haven't told her much of this...
Later, when she was older, I finally introduced myself but didn't tell her what I was. I never told her. I don't think she knew until she was dead. Vampires usually wake up about three days after they die. Three days turned to three weeks, and three weeks became longer. I was worried she wouldn't rise and when she finally did she wasn't fully awake. This is usually common and doesn't last very long, but once again she was in that stage for such a long time that I wondered if I would have to put her down.
I had told her to not leave the house and went out to bring her back something for the night. I was trying my best to make sure she didn't kill whatever or whomever I brought for her, but one particular night about a season later I suddenly felt panic from her and when I got back...there was a body on the floor and she was awake. She was so upset because it was someone she had loved.
She was rightfully angry at me, but before I could really get anywhere in trying to mend the situation my master summoned me back. She was so angry at me for finding a wife without her permission. I had given up a goddess for a commoner. She had me locked away for so many years. I don't know how long I was in that tiny space, but during that time she had my Rosemary to do with as she liked and I couldn't do a thing about it... my mistress seemed to take a special interest in her because they apparently shared similar powers; namely the aura. By the time I was freed Rosemary's seeds of hatred towards me had plenty of time to fester. That took so long to undo. And as a sort of torment to the both of us, she made us share a room.

Personality Expanded:
Veni generally seems cheerful and chipper, but this is a mask sometimes... it's mostly out of habit... he's used to hiding something. He is a slight masochist and enjoys it when his wife torments him a little. This came about possibly due to abuse earlier in life which he took and made an attempt to twist it into something pleasurable. His old age makes him a tad arrogant in some of his abilities and other things, but he at least realizes he is not all powerful and can still be killed.
He takes pleasure in watching and doing dance and theater. He loves the fine arts. Rosemary has some interest in this, but not as much as he does...though she does enjoy a good play.
He can't stand anyone getting into his head including his wife, so he made himself a steady barrier to prevent such things from happening. He's already a near natural null when it comes to mind tricks, suggestive thoughts, and such so he has taught himself how to block it further. It is nearly impossible to lie to him (more impossible with Rosemary) and he is an excellent liar himself.
He is also the type of person in which it takes years for him to like another enough to consider them a friend. This is due to his age. If he's known the person for a hundred years, he'll seriously morn their death...less than 10 years he might shed a tear or two, but that'll be one of many over the millennium and a half. He does however feel a little bit of remorse for the people he had put an effort into trying to save, but failed to do so like with Gerix. To him Rosemary is the 'perfect woman.'
Relationships: Wife: Rosemary. Both love their "concubine" Jacob. Adoptive Daughter: BlackMN, but is unsure of feelings towards her and considers her mostly Rosemary's. Weapons: ***randomized energy throwing knives... leeches life energy from target once embedded, then teleports itself back to it's specially designed holster. The next time it is thrown, it would randomize the energy it had absorbed, and use it against it's target, causing greater damage. shock temporary stun or paralyze most targets, save for the much larger creatures. ***Regular soldier armor (but only when Rosemary hands it to him as she's the one with the permit) Usually carries a hunter demon claw sword. Sometimes carries a long bow.

Vampire Abilities: Heightened speed even for a vampire, ability to borrow the vampiric powers of his children and vice versa (ex... he could borrow Rosemary's incredible strength for a short period of time, but not her mind reading since it was originally a natural human ability of hers), Shadow Puppeteer, strong mind barrier, control with the eyes, slightly higher natural weakness tolerance than Rosemary, shadow and teleportation abilities in daylight, [easy hypnotism on humanoids, walk through non-living objects, flying/gliding, limited teleportation, immune to almost all poisons, shape manipulation, and other standard vampire and high in power vampire abilities that I have just failed to list].
Main Special Ability: Shadow Puppeteer ability to walk into one shadow and out another with little to no effort, shadow manipulation in general, moving and binding things with shadows, become a shadow to a point where only holy magic and fire could do him any harm. He can stick his hand or blade into a shadow and have it come out of another like he stuck it into a portal. This can also be done when throwing small inanimate objects at a shadow. He can manipulate the shadows on the walls into appearing to do things the owner of the shadow isn't. He also has a sort of Pan's shadow thing going where his shadow seems to have its own personality and does things on its own near Veni. He can actually send it away some distance to do things; like when Jacob came home and Veni was in another room. The shadow grabbed Jacob and fetched him to Veni.
Secondary Special Abilities: Some magic potential which may have enhanced his shadow abilities (Cian and Daphne have a much higher magic potential than he). Some instinct or sense that allows him to choose people who usually eventually become powerful vampires or at least he has a theory that it is there. Jacob is his next target once his curse is gone... Sometimes Veni moves so fast for a couple seconds that time seems to slow down around him in his perspective. He vanishes in the perspective of those who can visually keep up with his fast speed normally. This tends to happen when he is desperately trying to get away from someone/something. It is more or less a desperation move.
Familiars: Many species from the sub family felinae including the genus felis which includes the house cat, bat, butterfly, & ladybug. Also Felinae such as those in the genus Acinonyx (cheetah), but he isn't aware of the cheetah one as he doesn't encounter them much. Future Vampire abilities: full daytime tolerance (except for with the eyes), ?. Future Familiars: Sparrow Hawk, Dove. Acquired Abilities from Jacob: Quite possibly latent abilities, that awakened because of Jacob. Ghost Whisperer meaning he can now see spirits and talk to them. Jacob also decided to take his slight magic potential and train him in golem creation. Special Notes: Quick and agile, he can often think up a solution quickly in tight spots. His physical strength is about half of that of Rosemary's. He can however out run and out dodge her. He has high stamina, but can't take hits as well as Rosemary can. His knowledge on computer-like machines is very limited. He has trouble figuring out how to use them. He has a better understanding of mechanical machines since they're more hands on. Modern technology confuses him since it is still new to him, so he generally hires other people to do the high tech stuff for him. He at least knows how to use a calculator. In a dangerous situation he prefers to back off if he knows or thinks that he doesn't have or cannot gain the upper hand. 'He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day' is his motto when getting backed into a corner.
History: Veni was born in Rome near the end of the Roman Empire. His mother's side, Lucia Flava Livius, was from the Celtic/Germanic (or possibly Nordic) region. His father had some of this mixed somewhere down the line. His mother died giving birth to he and his twin brother, Lucius Venator Livius, and their father went a little crazy in the head. Veni got the unlucky role of being made to dress as a woman (palla, umbrella, fan, jewlery and everything), was told that he was a girl, thought that he was a girl, and was hardly ever allowed to leave the villa they lived on or see many other people. He was actually raised more like a Greek woman over a Roman one in this sense. He still believes that his own father forgot that he wasn't actually a young lady...
Later on he met Nefretiri who had taken a facination with him and she made sure he found out the truth the hard way... he had already started to like men and his unpleasant experience with this woman almost dashed any possibility of him liking other females. He probably fell for Rosemary because she was one of the most tom-boy girls he had ever seen and still managed to be a girl to everyone else who knew her.
Nefretiri used Veni as her example for her lowest age tolerance for making a vampire under normal circumstances. She kept him by her side for much of his early years and sometimes had him go with other vampires for short periods of time. They (he, Nefretiri, and his few siblings) moved around frequently and didn't stay in one location for long until they ended up at their current location many centuries ago. Veni was a timid creature at this point and received abuse for it. Eventually, and rather quickly for it became apparent in a mere century to Nefretiri, Veni was the superior in power to his siblings, but he didn't know this for quite some time. All hell broke loose when he realized he was superior.
In a fit of teenage like pent up rage Veni put his siblings in their place. There are two factors that stopped him from outright killing them. For one he lacked any combat training at the time and two Nefretiri stopped him. Boy did she stop him with her aura. She put the fear of becoming too powerful in him or at least letting her know about it. For example he tried to hide that he was talented in shadow manipulation when he figured out it was something he was superior in. After this bout with his siblings Veni stood his ground when picked on by his relatives unless Nefretiri told him not to. This was the beginning of his rebellion and quite possibly when Lucia started to become the Vampire Veni of today. He soon gained an interest in archery (possibly while human too)and throwing weapons.
At some point in history he started to travel on occasion. Nefretiri tolerated his occasional drifting because it often bared good fruit. Usually these travels took two or three decades and he'd often come back, usually by summons from Nefretiri, with a new child. She checked on him while he would be gone without his notice.
He first saw Rosemary as a young girl in Romania as he walked by her. He was moving fast enough that she shouldn't have seen it, but in his perspective it looked like she turned her head as he moved by. He soon lived with them as their cat, a detail Rosemary still isn't aware of, before he introduced himself years later her suitors having married someone else or vanished. By that time Rosemary was in her 20s. He was very careful in charming her, not allowing her to know what he was till the very end. To his astonishment and horror she awoke very strong and with power similar to his sire. For several nights, possibly weeks, she was more animalistic than intelligent. He feared she wouldn't come to and that he'd have to end her.
When he came back with Rosemary, who was now aware and whom he had married and had power similar to Nefretiri, the matriarch had him locked away for many years. During Veni's imprisonment Nefretiri trained Rosemary. When he was allowed out Rosemary was cold towards him. It would take many centuries for her to warm up to him again. Veni didn't resent his wife for this, but rather Nefretiri.
Eventually Veni traveled again, mostly to get away from home, and gained an interest in Italian fencing. His wanderlust finally landed him in China where he came across the boy who would become his son; Ma Jianshen. Due to his frailty Veni's instincts had urged him to kill this one, but he relented and held off until it was almost too late. He feels that his perseverance was worth the results. Once Jianshen learned some martial arts techniques as had been his desire, Veni learned some more hand to hand style from him. During his extensive visit to China, he had some nasty encounters with the local goengsi (jiangshi or zombie vampire) due to their vicious nature and quickly learned to avoid them.
When he returned with Ma he was surprised that Rosemary had some liking to this one since she normally had some animosity towards his other children as well. He chalked it up to his mannerisms and his maturity since Ma had lived the longest and thus had developed more in life. Nefretiri mostly allowed Ma to do as he pleased as far as traveling to study to Veni's relief.
In time Rosemary opened to Veni again, but he probably did something wrong soon after she obtained BlackMN. She had come back with the girl along with Dan and Daisy after succeeding at killing his sibling that was creating such children vampires. Veni hated Nefretiri for giving her what he felt was an overly dangerous task since the vampire in question was almost as old as he, albeit less powerful. Nefretiri for her part did it because she knew Rosemary would win, but it was also to torment Veni.
Rosemary was allowed to leave with the dangerous fire girl and Veni was forced to stay at or near home for the most part. When Rosemary started to gain new friends several bad things happened to her and he disliked her friends because he blamed them for all the sudden deadly incidents. However she had become more overall friendly to him and others than she had been in a while. She was relying on him more for emotional stability or support which was something she almost never did. One such deadly incident occurred that caused his sire to vanish and many of their family to die. However he wasn't going to forbid the relationships because he knew that she'd resent him for it. Despite his best efforts to protect her and what was left of the vampire family, she still ended up in situations that left her badly injured physically, mentally, and or spiritually. He himself almost died as well on multiple occasions.
He actually disliked the one called Jacob the most because he convinced her to go on a particular mission in which no one informed him about that left both of them injured. And he is a necromancer, which Veni found even more reason to distrust since he could command creatures such as he. Soon after this incident a suspicious elder master vampire showed up who was after the anomaly Daphne who Rosemary was quite fond of and he found to have a liking for. This had further annoyed him and he blamed it on Jacob for it was his fault that the timing of such arrivals was bad. This ended well and he gained his current best friend, Cian.
Rather than resent Veni for his part to protect from him what was rightfully his, he actually appreciated the concern and caring shown to his lost child by this group. Since Daphne was still nervous around Cian, but wanted to know him better, Rosemary and Veni did activities with the pair. These often turned to double dates until Daphne was confident enough to go alone. Veni found Cian's company and demeanor to be rather agreeable. He could actually make a friend with an equal which was a rather new experience for him. It was even better that he wouldn't have to worry about the few basic rules when it came to the killing of the food being broken since Cian for the most part abstained from it like Daphne. When the two of them were married, Veni played the role of best man (correct me if I am wrong for I thought we said this).
Jacob on the other hand became a bigger part of his life due to the necromancer's desire to protect others from the great evil of the Niearcim that had managed to wedge their evil into Veni's line. Jacob decided to teach him some golem magic having sensed better potential for it in him over Rosemary. He also modified Veni's ribs and made it more difficult to be pierced. Veni's shadow skills also increased considerably as he had found some shadow performers in Limbo which he stared practicing with. His own shadow soon displayed more personality than it used to. He also started to see spirits more clearly after drinking Jacob's blood, an ability he wonders if it was a consequence of or if it was already there. He suspects the potential was there as Rosemary gained no such ability.
Veni soon found that the necromancer was easy to tease without retribution and at some point started to like his company. He and his wife's fondness of Jacob grew to the point of loving him while Cian and Daphne were away on their extended honeymoon. Soon before their return Jacob managed to find a way to remove his injuries and restore his appearance using a large quantity of Veni's blood; enough to turn into a vampire according to Ma in a later conversation. It was a day or so after this that Jacob realized he had feelings for both Rosemary and Veni. They worked on their relationship and Veni was the happiest he has ever been in his memory. During some of his own personal time with Jacob, he realized he would try to turn him if he could which he hasn't told anyone of this desire. Jianshen correctly guessed this from some personal time he had with Jacob.
Sometime after Cian and Daphne returned, Jacob left to do some difficult deed he felt he needed to do. Unsure of how long it would take and going to a place whose environment was nearly unlivable to vampires, and humans for that matter, they were forced to stay behind. He was the hero type after all that tried to save others from the Niearcim or Hell if he could. Veni had his responsibilities to others. Fortunately Daphne and Cian decided to stick around so he has been enjoying their company and hopes they continue to stay for many years to come. Soon after Jacob started his quest Nefretiri returned and Veni finds himself worried this small golden age has ended.
Character Quirks: Hygiene: Veni loves the feel of hot water on his skin. He likes to take a shower or a bath about equally and long ones. He does this almost nightly and prefers to take a bath with someone. In fact he loves to clean Rosemary or Jacob when they bathe together. He also enjoys brushing their hair. He likes to help Jacob look nice and will pick out clothes for him who usually lets him since he was neglecting his looks to the extreme before. His idea of a quick shower, unless he’s in a real hurry, is about 20 minutes long. When he bathes he prefers it in one of those tubs that one can sit in and still be surrounded by water (basically Jacuzzi like). He has no objections to hot springs however. He will scent his baths with oils and he much prefers either lavender or vanilla oils. He wears Brute deodorant sometimes or some Adidas sport cologne, but usually only does this when he showers. He may even wear perfume on occasion. He straightens hair slightly when he brushes it daily. Veni has the softest hair. He carries a small comb and a kerchief in pocket as he is somewhat a dandy type. Brushes teeth and uses mouthwash before bed and sometimes will do it when he gets up. Will use a mint spray if he thinks his breath smells bad in-between these brushings. Trivia: ~The names Mori and Veni are actually derived from One Winged Angel lyrics ~Part of Veni's background was influenced by Princess Prince and Princess Knight mangas ~Veni has the softest hair of the characters ~ He carries a small comb and a kerchief in pocket as he is somewhat a dandy type.

Before hair straighteners, my hair was always curly and long. I used to keep it up most of the time in a headpiece. Back then the clothing was draped over a person and had barely any stitches because the needles weren't as nice as what exists today. I never knew my mother and I lived with my father and twin brother. For reasons I am not entirely sure of...maybe my father didn't want a property dispute amongst us or maybe he really did go crazy in the head when my mother died...anyways for reasons I don't know, I had been dressed as a girl all my life. I had really enjoyed adorning myself with cute accessories and still enjoy placing a brooch on my clothing sometimes.
Growing up I was rarely allowed to leave the property and didn't really have much contact with people beyond servants or slaves or art beyond landscapes. Never was I allowed to go near the public bath and was made to bathe at home. My father and brother went to it all the time. I didn't really think much of it at the time. Men of course were superior to ladies and we had to do as we were told. I wasn't really denied an education on our culture, myths, and other history. I cleaned around the house and did other activities to entertain myself. Despite this I remember that my brother and I were still fairly close in our youths and did activities together, but I can't really remember what we did or talked about anymore other than that we were together.
One day, I forget my actual age at the time, a woman came to our door and asked to stay. It was customary at the time to accept traveler's without question and it was the traveler's responsibility to not burden their hosts. We had a guest/host system that was considered sacred and very punishable if broken. She was a beautiful Egyptian woman with a slight tan still despite what she was. I don't know why she took an interest in my family or for how long, just like I am not sure why Rosemary had captivated me. My family welcomed her, but she frightened me since the beginning and gave me the look that no one else saw." Veni his head so Jacob could see and mimicked a look that oddly enough looked like one of Rosemary's expressions that made the person she gave it to so much shorter than her even if in actuality she was shorter than them. It was the look she was considering a person and had evil intent. He looked away again and continued.
"Of course you can imagine how I felt when Rosemary first used that expression...anyways...she of course could see through my outfit and knew that something was up. I remember sharing my uneasiness of her with my father in private and he had slapped me for being rude. I kept my mouth shut after that.
Somehow, most likely through her tricks, we shared a room. My memory until I became a vampire is a little hazy because she did everything to put me totally under her power. She stared into my eyes in a way similar we do to you, but unlike me it'll only affect you as much as you'll let it and it should never have any lingering effects. She... drank a little of my blood, it was the worst thing I had ever experienced at that point and being fed off of was never pleasurable after that, and had me drink a little of hers. She teased me about things I didn't know, showed off her breasts to me, pointed out I didn't have any while rubbing my chest and stomach...and... it went on from there. The whole night she would not leave me alone. One of her animals was large cats of almost all species and I was her little slave mouse. The next day I was very depressed, barely covered myself enough to be considered decent, and everyone thought I was sick.
She no doubt had the whole household under her spell because she could do almost anything to me and I would make noise and no one would know the better. I couldn't even speak of what she did because she had told me not to and she threatened to kill everyone if I resisted too much. I never knew what she would do nor when she'd decide to do it. Some days she'd leave me alone which only would increase my paranoia as I tried to sleep. I cut my hair at some point otherwise it wouldn't be this length, but I don't remember ever doing it.
Despite my dread of her sometimes I... delighted in going to her at times and really desired the... things we'd do at times while other times I'd scream. We can make humans desire us and delight in doing things. She had that blasted aura that she focused on me at random and sometimes... well timed intervals. And then when Rosemary woke up with it... No matter how I felt due to my mistress' induced feelings when I came to her, I would feel very ashamed afterwords.
This cat and mouse game seemed to last forever I remember thinking until finally, before I could kill myself, she did it for me and took me away. She kept playing with me and eventually let up on it a little and as time went on she gave me more freedoms and tormented me less and less, but always would remind me who was really in charge.
She had thankfully left the rest of my family alone and my brother lived to be a strong man with a good family. She allowed me to get away sometimes and I would peek in to see how they were. I remember it being odd to see him, the person who looked just like me, grow old while I remained the same."

General Equipment: Masamune and bangles with various spells attached to them, small Bible, shoulder guards, a container containing various spell stones, coat with inner pockets, mini-tool knife thing, healing potion, antivenom, compact energy drink, rations, pictures of friends, small container for collecting samples, communication device & minicomputer.
He also has something that's like pocket dimension from Limbo only it's from his own home world that he carries extra of several of the items listed above in along with a different sword the Muramasa which he's allowed Rosemary to use. He usually adds even more food and various potions before an adventure.
The son of two scientists, Sephiroth had been genetically messed with, mostly with alien cells, before he was even born. Continually experimented on during childhood, Sephiroth grew up to be the best soldier with his physical enhancements and was the only one able to wield the masamune. He never knew who his real mother was, let alone his own birthday. He believed that his mother was Jenova, wich is only partially true.
Around his mid-20s he went to Nibelheim on a mission and ran into the main body of the alien Jenova and several monsters. The alien cells in him awoke completely and he started to question his origins wondering if he was like all the monsters in the containments. "No...no...Was I?...Was I created this way too? Am I the same as all these monsters... You saw it! All of them...were humans...I've always felt since I was small...that I was different from the others. Special in some way. But...not like this... Am I...human?" ~Sephiroth in the Nibelheim reactor.
Later on in the basement of the Shinra mansion he found books on the Jenova project. He locked himself in there and read constantly for days, the alien showing him what it wanted him to see in the books. "He continued to read as if he was possessed by something and not once did the light in the basement go out." ~Cloud
He was driven mad and came to the conclusion he was an Ancient like Jenova (who's really an alien) and that the people on the world were traitors and stealing the planet from 'Mother.' He also said that they should go to the Promised Land that she was destined to become the ruler of the Planet. He burned the town and went to Jenova, but was confronted by several people and eventually fell into the life stream.
He wasn't heard from for several years then he suddenly awoke again and caused general chaos and gathered the body of his 'Mother.' Eventually he killed the person who could stop his plans and locked up the magic that could stop him. He got a hold of the power of summoning a meteor to the planet to destroy it under the delusion that he could become a god if he sucked up the energy. His plans were stopped and he died in an angelic form, but the holy magic saved him and destroyed the alien's influence on him in time or so he believes. He vanished for a few years after that trying to regain his sanity. The meteor did fall to the earth, but it caused minimal damage. Holy used it to destroy one of the cities that was doing serious damage to the life of the planet and the life stream slowed the decent of the meteor.
He left the world and went to many places during his travels, taking with him his weapon of choice, some materia, and the power to destroy a planet with a meteor so that no one else can use it. He plans on getting rid of it somewhere in space, but he hasn't felt that he has reached the right place for it yet. He learned how to improve his skills by changing into a one winged angel like creature and back.
Eventually he ended up on Gaia and has mostly settled down there and is starting to feel the weight of his age, though it is barely noticable except for the fact that he's getting tired a little bit more easily, with all the physically straining attacks that seem to happen at this one place in particular despite his 'unreal' strength. He still looks rather young despite his age and has noticed that he really hasn't aged much when he compares himself to his old picture and himself now.
Recently he looked into the orgins of Jenova and found nothing except that she was a creature by many names that traveled space destroying many planets along the way. He thinks it probably best that he didn't know where she came from, who or what created her, or what she really is...but the curiosity still lingers. He knows that Jenova went from planet to planet, took over and stole the energy from it and left, and eventually hoped to find a place to make a heaven...but for whom? Herself or someone else? He both wants and fears the answer to that.
He still holds the ability to send a meteor on a planet and do lesser forms of such a thing (comets and what not). His summoning materia no longer works, but may work again. The other materia still functions, such as his shield ones, healing, fire, lightning, and ice. Is he really using the materia or his own abilities or is the materia really dead and he has the ability to reactivate them? Is his angelic forms just his skills honed or is this a lesser angel form that he has managed to achieve as a mortal and he is really the angel with the seventh vial of the final plagues of 'the Wrath of God' living as a mortal so he was destined to summon that meteor to his birth planet anyways?

Ma Jianshen (or Jian-shen) Pronounced Jee-en shun 马剑神 (simple) 馬 劍 神 (traditional) (First symbol=horse, second=sword, dagger, or sabre third=spirit, god, divine or supernatural being) Ma gim-san (in Cantonese)
(Jianshen is not one of his original first names as a human, but Ma is his family name)
Name meaning: Jian shen is the sword blade, but apparently the symbol I used is pronounced differently...so Jian is a sword and shen is spirit/divine/supernatural. Ma means horse, as in horse stance. It is used genericly to mean any stance. Shen (by itself) means spirit. So his name means something like: divine/supernatural/spirit sword stance.
As I learn more about how the Chinese language works or many other languages such as Japanese or Korean in general, I find myself amazed at how perfect a name this was and its deeper meaning than I originally thought there was. It's in part because of the characters and the words themselves. I chose Ma as his family name (and it is indeed his original name) in part because it is a common family name and in martial arts can mean stance. But there is more symbolism in the word than I realized at the time. Horse is seen as a sign of strength, vitality, speed and beauty. Dragons are also energetic according to his birth year. Ma was not physically strong, fast, or vital in life. He was quite sickly. Only his will was strong. It is quite possible he was discouraged by this to have all this symbolism in his family name and time of birth for being healthy and yet he was not.
When trying to figure out a first name for him I looked through martial artist terms and eventually stumbled on Jian shen which meant sword stance on the website. Jianshen isn't the name his human parents gave him. Either he came up with the name himself, Veni did, or a combination of both. I suspect that Veni in an offhandish way said some things to him that lead him to come up with it. The thing about Chinese is that they can go through several given names in a life time often from certain events. I suppose the important part is that he has identified himself by this name for most of his undead life and has all but forgot his human name.
Later I looked up the symbols for the words and came up with 劍 神. Today I find out that 神 is wrong and should be 身 which means body or trunk and these two symbols are pronounced differently. That's the problem with tonal language; if I don't know the accent it gives the most common symbol in a search. How I originally have it, his name is pronounced jiàn shén, but it should be for the usage I have jiàn shēn (wish I knew the difference or could hear it said out loud). However as I actually like what this means for his name, I don't plan to correct it and leave it at divine/supernatural/spirit sword stance instead of changing it back to what I thought I was originally naming him of "sword blade stance."
Ma Jianshen meaning divine/supernatural/spirit sword stance gives a whole different meaning to his name. That is merely the surface individual definition of the words, but his name has a deeper implied meaning. It implies that his posture or body position and thus his movements are supernatural or as graceful as a divine being. Thus he is indicating that he isn't human with his own name.
But there is more... why specifically chose a sword stance? If we went from above one way of interpreting it is that he is a dangerous supernatural being. Though this is correct, it is only part of the reason. After he died he sought to learn how to do martial arts and then thus taught Veni and many in his family some styles and moves he thought best suited them. Thus he is a tool and weapon to them. A sword can be used by a wielder but it can also hurt the wielder. So he is suggesting that he is a useful yet dangerous tool. His own teaching can come back at them within their own family.
Nicknames/Titles: Ma Sifu, or plain Sifu (in Cantonese this term is pronounced like Sea Food only without the d. He could also probably get away with demanding to be addressed as Ma Zōngshī (mandarin) or Ma Jūngsī (Cantonese) at his school= 宗師 (ancestral teacher), technically the founder of a discipline or branch (宗派), used when addressing a great master.) Race: Han Chinese Species: Vampire Sire: Veni Birth Date: Chinese New Year of 1592 (Actual Western Date is unknown as I can't figure out what day the new year happened that year, but he should be Aquarius and possibly a cusp with either as far as Western Zodiac goes.) Hair: He has silky black hair down to his butt while braided. It is straight while out of the braid except when he first takes it out and then it is a little wavy. Physical Build: Ma was sickly as a human so he is very skinny. His skin is pale like Veni's but with a slightly yellow tint. Special Features: His ears are slightly pointed. He has the longest claws when they're at their natural length of anyone in his family. His tongue is actually fairly long too if he were actually to stick it out fully, but he thinks it rude to overly show ones tongue. Dress Type:His preferred clothing type is loose raw silk (raw silk is similar to cotton and is not shiny) clothing often with a large single Chinese dragon on it with the shirt sleeve length going till about the back of the hand and the pants down to his ankles. Such outfits he will wear day to day include the Manchurian influenced chèuhng sàam (aka changshan which is often called a gown) with ku (trousers), Tangzhuang, Cheongsam Tangzhuang (which is an awesome combination of the first two), and whatever Precia put him in which I think is both Chinese and Korean influenced and include silk belt, cloth boots. He also likes wearing loose robe like garments (hanfu) when he's lounging at home or is being more formal in dress, but he perfers the Qing dynasty influenced clothing as they are easier to move in. He doesn't object to wearing more westernized clothing when the need arises, but he rarely puts himself in such a position. Major Areas of Study: Martial Arts of all types, Qi (chi) studies Hobbies: Fond of lizards and snakes; he could stare at them and stroke their scaly skin for hours. He has a small tea tree that he likes to dry tea leaves from. He likes going to museums, zoos, interesting landmarks, or buildings of interest. Future and current goals: To work on non-direct contact methods with his main skill and to improve his transformation ability... really to be able to defend against those much more powerful and faster than he is by potentially stunning them long enough to get away since he knows he isn't remarkably fast or strong for one of his kind and has been running into to other powerful creatures more often. Ma is not cocky. Current Occupation: Zōngshī/Jūngsī Martial arts teacher in Limbo Weapons of Choice: Jian or Dadao, hari-gata, tantō-gata, or kankyuto shuriken, Sanjiegun aka pan long gun (three-sectional staff) which he's easily able to convert to a solid staff.
Personality: Calm, wise, intelligent, patient and rarely complains (though he has become a little more frustrated over the events of late and has had difficulty hiding it), honorable, slow to anger, usually agreeable to be around, respectful towards his elders, and practitioner of filial piety (is term for respecting ones elders, to take care of ones parents, and also to not make them look bad by ones actions). Deep down he is quite restless and hides it from almost everyone. He is an old man in a young man's body and loves it. Being once the elder of his human family he sometimes wishes there were fewer people he had to treat as an elder in his current vampire family/family friend group (possibly is one of the reasons he decided to not live there all the time and moved out when given the opportunity). Despite at times being surrounded by people he often tends to feel isolated and is often aloof.
I don’t know what his humor type is called but one time he bought Veni a green floppy hat as a gift. Where he is from this is a bad gift because a green hat means the spouse is being unfaithful. He did not intend for it to be taken seriously as it was a joke.
Weaknesses/anger triggers/flaws: Detests seeing people disrespect others, matricide/patricide, intentional historical destruction, insulting his household, insulting his father and grandmother, insulting him as a son, and unwarranted disrespect towards him (even if they are his elder, though he's less likely to act on it). He is highly suspicious of what he considers outsiders (like other vampires trying to be his friend or people he perceives as powerful and thus a potential threat) and is fairly slow to trust them. However if Veni esp, Rosemary, or Nefretiri show confidence in them he is more likely to try to trust and tolerate them more. His current known non-familial friend is Githar with who he often spars with and will do demonstrations with at his school.

He's willing to do more for Cian or tolerate him better than he would for others since he knows Veni enjoys Cian's company. Somewhat fond of: Daphne could be like a adorable little sister over friend to him if they got to know each other better. However as it stands he doesn't really feel any affection or attachment towards her, but respects her like everyone else. However since he knows Veni is fond of her, he's willing to do more than he would for others. He does think she is cute in the way she acts which is the limit of his fondness towards her. Abilities: Vampire superhuman strength and speed wise he used to be bellow average, but he is probably very average now. As he practices to be very precise with his movements and blows he has some confidence he can at least defend himself against another slightly more powerful than he. His main power of Suffering Touch, which allows him to cause pain to anyone he touches or who touches him, gives him a slight advantage to tougher opponents. His survival of a morning attack by powerful alien creatures helped confirm this and build his confidence in his abilities in some ways while weakening it in others. He is able to make a current existing wound hurt much more than it should or have the smallest blow, including his kiss, received from him feel or even be crippling. On the flip side physically torturing him doesn't work on him easily. Like anyone with an aura once he makes a strong connection in the use of it in a victim, it is hard for him to stop as it is very pleasurable for him to use it. As he really doesn't like hurting others much of his practice goes into self control through neijing (the conscious control of ones qi) over improved usage . However lately he's been working on improved usage and seeking ways to experiment with it. His current goal with his skill is to work on non-direct contact methods. One of the theories he is working on involves being able to affect the chi or an invisible energy thread of power such as magic or an aura sent at him by another and to try to to grip it with his once it touches him, forming a connection, and send a painful wave back at the them. He also wants to work on better transformation of his body into mist, shadow, or formless blob (due to the lack of familiars he can't turn into animals at present). He can change, but he is not very fast at it and can't do it almost instantly as Veni or Rosemary. I am also going to note that it has been suggested that Ma has stronger predator instincts than most of my other vampire characters. Familiars: None at present
History: Originally born in southeastern China near Macau in the province of Guangdong. He was born near the end of the Ming dynasty. As a human Ma Jianshen was sickly so he became a scholar since he couldn't handle too much physical activity. If his nails didn’t break he left them which followed a belief that the body was a gift from ones parents so even the hair deserved respect. His hair is long which kept to the Confucian belief of keeping the body intact and thus every hair your parents give you deserves respect. Though this belief has sort of wavered on him over time and he wouldn't mind short hair if it was possible. His nails/claws also are slightly longer than most vampires in their non-extended state because they were long in life. As such Ma Jianshen is most likely to palm strike over punch a foe.
As a human Ma Jianshen was the oldest son of a family who ran a martial arts school/sect, which unfortunately was lost in history. However his frail physical condition made him unfit to train in the discipline and become the next inheritor of the clan, as should have been his birthright, as his stamina wouldn't allow for much physical labor. Instead he became a scholar as passing any of the three exams would bring his family prestige. Thus he is well read, along with other skills related to it including music (he primarily plays a guqin). Though he wanted to be the one who carried on with the practice over studying and would often watch everyone else practice and attempt stances in secret. He died soon after receiving the Jinshi degree (the highest of the Imperial examinations...that secretary dude who was a member of the Emperor's council from the movie Mulan, Chi-Fu, had to have that degree to be in the position he was.)
He met Veni at the age of 12 and had a relationship with him most of his human life before Veni became his new father. Veni started to change him at the age of 24 (Veni POV and Ma POV of the incident), but Ma lived until he was about 50 having a family of his own and a wife he loved before he died. He is over that loss for the most part as he accepts that he is no longer that person nor does he really seek to be. He once hoped to run into her reincarnation, but once he learned of Limbo and the Soul Guides and that there wasn't much reincarnation he gave up that notion of possibility.
Soon after he died the Ming dynasty ended and the Qing dynasty began. He didn't really go go or visit home long during this time due to the queue hair style that was required of men when the Manchu took over. If he visited the country, he couldn't be seen unless he shaved a portion of his hair. Even then it would grow back by the next night if not quicker. Still as a vampire he took advantage of his new physical powers and studied various forms of martial arts in other countries which also seemed to be what Veni wanted. Eventually he would teach various family members styles in which he thought most suited them.
His ability to cause severe pain with his touch came around when he was in China during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). The destructive actions by the Red Guards during the first couple years had infuriated him. Old books and art were destroyed, museums were ransacked, people were mistreated, and many famous temples, shrines, and other heritage sites in Beijing were attacked. He stole several pieces to save them from destruction during this time. He did find one thing amusing; people's attempt to cut his old-fashioned retrograde hair.
On one particular night he witnessed a more radical member of the group deal a fatal blow to their own grandfather. Well Ma is quite scary when he is angered, even worse when enraged enough especially at his prey, and heaven help them if they've become worse than trash or a blight within their kind to him. In Ma's time taking the life of an elder in ones own family even by accident usually resulted in a painful death. This was a very painful death in part because he wasn't fully aware what was happening when it did and as it suddenly appeared he had no real control over it.
The next couple nights he was more like a beastly phantasm of himself. He had a strange sensation when he touched people and they reacted differently than they used to. He thought it was his mood, which was sour, towards his food. It wasn't until Veni came and they made physical contact did he become aware what was happening. While Ma fretted over accidentally harming his father, Veni seemed pleased. He wasn't afraid of his new ability or phased at how monstrous the type could be (like Rosemary was for hers) for his views on good and evil things are based more on how it is used rather than some inherent evil. He was more concerned that he couldn't touch anyone again without hurting them a little. The most stress he had about it was hurting Veni and Nefretiri unintentionally.
So as Veni tried to explain how he controlled shadows to Ma, Ma thought of theories on how to control his. It helped that Veni had described it as an extension of himself so Ma tried some Qi exercises. To test to see if it was working, Veni allowed Ma to touch him again. It still stung, but Veni instructed him to concentrate on drawing it in. Ma admitted it was difficult because the sensation was so pleasant to him. With the continued contact Ma started to notice other things like injuries or rather the pain from one his father had received particularly on the back. He lost sight of his goal as he grew fascinated by this and found Veni more alluring than he had in years.
Veni noticed the difference; it had went from slowly feeling better to a sudden concentrated sting on his back. Ma's conduct had also changed; he was trying to get closer. Veni told the other to focus on his goal, but he was too entranced by what he was sensing which Veni knew to be common with new powers. It forced Veni into one of the few fights he had with Ma which was extremely short and basically involved him showing his dominance on the other by pinning him to the ground with his teeth against the back of his neck much in the manner a cat does. It had a strangely soothing effect on Ma though he was a little embarrassed. After that Ma was able to draw his power in and not cause Veni discomfort while he touched him. When he learned better control with it while feeding, he found out that he is unable to control it with his bite and that the best he could do was normal pains from such a wound.
At some point before the RP "It's the End of the World as we Know it" Ma had a girlfriend or at least feeding partner/lover he mostly had living with him who didn't mind his bite under the right circumstances. She was in his room and he had just fallen asleep when the demons appeared. Her screams and blood scent is what woke him, but it was too late for her by the time he became mobile and dispatched them. He regrets failing in his duty to protect her to this day.
Enraged, he exited his room but not before grabbing his sword and, hearing the children's voices, he headed into Dan and Daisy's room and saw another creature he had never seen before. It was easy enough to paralyze being designed to not feel pain normally, but his touch allowed it to which had thrown it off. The two then quickly finished the job. He got them out of the room and planned next to head to Nefretiri's sleeping chamber, but he heard her tell him to escape with the kids if possible.
He grabbed their hands and tugged hard getting them past several as he made the way to the exit. It was very chaotic as it was just after the sun had come up and most had been in bed. He released them when he didn't see a way past a chain ghoul. The creature had many long reaching chains with blades at the end. It was with this being that he found if he got a little of his blood into the body of another he could work his power faster and have it linger without touching it. He then grabbed anything sharp as he moved; letter openers, pens, pencils, broken glass etc., got them bloody, and threw them at the soft spots he saw effectively disabling most opponents. This allowed him to slice those that weren't affected enough from his power with his claws or sword without being completely overwhelmed by numbers. After this incident he began to carry dozens of needles of varying size for this purpose.
When they got out and away Ma had trouble calming down though he tried to hide it outwardly, but it still showed in his expression. He could still feel it and nothing would have pleased him more than to continue and increase his torment of the demons. For the rest of the episode he focused on keeping the two safe and hiding.
A little while after this he moved to Limbo expressing a desire to study some of their fighting techniques. He promised to come back and check in frequently. While this is true, he also wanted to get away from what was left of his family for a while for he felt ashamed and blamed himself for many of their deaths having taught several of them himself. Veni never picked up on this ulterior motive. With Galantros' connections and several people vouching that he could generally be trusted around other people as he historically rarely killed his food compared to his other relatives, Ma did just that and eventually decided to start a school for a few years at least. He is still doing this as of today and even has a couple good pupils he considers in his top tier including a boy name Eztli who lived with him for a few years after his parents died. However living more domestic has put a strain on the vampire.
Although the living blood bag creatures of Limbo are better than hospital type donation blood, it is still lacking in certain things leaving Ma desiring for something more sentient or fun to hunt. Seeing his relatives or other vampires feed off of other people has not helped with his urge. He sometimes feels they are doing it in front of him to mock him with it. He has managed to resist this inclination for about 10 years. There are some exposed stations where people offer themselves to bloodsuckers to feed, but he finds the whole idea of one after another going for a person with no privacy to be repulsive physically and mentally like garlic. He doesn’t judge the people who does this and in fact isn’t repulsed by the idea of going for them afterwards.
An incident in which his power went haywire when he touched Dieamos has left his situation more dire. In addition to his desire to have something more lively, his need to use his power more than doubled and he is having difficulties keeping it back since it is infrequently used to a satisfying degree. Being hit with twofold physical needs (whose non-partaking of might be akin to a type of withdrawal symptom) not being met has left him worried he might lose control and thus disgrace the people who had shown confidence in his ability to resist his natural inclinations. He started to become more slightly verbal of his dissatisfaction to the mortals he knows before it became as urgent to the point of busting out in slight anger when finally someone who could help him (Githar and Jacob) picked up on it. Their assistance has been too little too late. After a couple feedings Githar has been gone and too busy, while Jacob who promised to find him some more regular feeding partners became distracted by some urgent heroic mission which he has been gone on for many months.
Finding himself in the situation he was in again, Ma had actually pondered closing soon or at least placing the best of his students in charge with him merely visiting if they want to continue. He felt fulfilling his need would be frowned upon if discovered as he was already harassed at times for being a wild type vampire. Upon her return, Nefretiri sensed his wanting and immediately set to do something about it. She found the perfect victim type for him and enticed and coaxed him into satisfying his needs before a potential incident. Within an hour afterwards he concluded that he will come home on occasion to take care of himself as it is a disservice to others when they need him if he is not well.
Character Quirks He likes to drink tea once in a while to remind himself what it was like to feel ill. He is fond of lizards and snakes. Though he has lived in the western world technically most of his life, he still attempts to be as traditional to what he was originally raised with as possible. He's one of the few western type vampires from that place and era that he knows of (meaning not from another goeng-si/jiangshi or zombie vampire).
Gesture types/communication habits: Runs hand through hair when he’s uncomfortable especially on conversation topic. Often says the opposite of what he really means, or says it in an off way. Will use this type of thing to be a smart a** or disrespectful in the guise of respect thus making it difficult to tell when he’s doing this; ex. calling Jacob Merak, Merak bìxià. Tongue out is considered rude and will cover mouth if he laughs like a horse. Rarely shows off teeth. Will make sure the spout of a teapot isn’t pointing at anyone. Him staring at you means great awe and wonder more often than horror at what you did (isn’t meant to be an uncomfortable stare). He will randomly surprise attack certain characters to teach them something or to test their guard and also to practice his own concealment/ability to hide his presence; including Sephiroth, Jacob, pretty much anyone in his family, and sometimes BlackMN. What he does depends on the person. He enjoys having his ears touched (many Chinese like to have their ears tickled with ear picks). Will usually either walk or stand with one wrist in his other hand behind him, arms crossed onto his lower back, or hands dangling loosely at his sides.
Hygiene: Ma is a creature of routine and habit when it comes to his hygienic practices and is more specific about it than any of the other characters. One of the first things he does upon rising is wash his hands and face with a mixture he prepared and crushed himself that consists of soy beans, herbs, roots, and seeds that leaves a soothing fragrance on the skin. Not always the same herbal mixture and he’ll wash his hands throughout the night with bought product if he feels like it. The first washing is when he always uses his own stuff unless it is unavailable. He brushes his hair at least twice a night; after washing his face and hands and before he turns in for the day. His actual bathing routine is a 5 day cycle. He thoroughly washes his hair once every 5 days. He'll wash his body and hair one night, three days later just the body, and then two days after that he'll begin the cycle again with washing his body and hair. He’ll wash more frequently if he becomes dirty. He typically uses very little water to bathe opting for a sponge like bath. He basically turns on a shower to get wet, turn it off, scrub himself down, and rinse. When he washes his hair he uses an herbal powder mixture, different than what he uses for the hands and face, which he mixes in sesame seed, olive, or some type of oil. Sometimes after rinsing he will soak his hair in rose, jasmine, osmanthus, lilac, or other fragrant flower water he particularly likes, but most often the rose, for a few minutes before dumping the bucket of it on himself followed by drying off. He spreads his hair out to dry after he’s done washing. Ma has the silkiest hair of the long haired characters. He'll rinse with mouth wash once or twice nightly for his breath, but rarely brushes as that is actually unnecessary.
Trivia: ~Ma's hair is the silkiest of the characters ~He washes it with almost exclusively with a home made mixture (which I may or may not post) ~His original appearance was based off of Petshop of Horror's Count D until I found out it was historically inaccurate and increased his hair length. ~Veni chose his current ”字“ (zi) (common name), 劍神 JianShen very early on. One could possibly argue that this is his vampire ”名“ (ming) or birthname ~The only person alive who would know his original human birthname is Veni, who will often say it in private or so low in his ear that only he can hear it. Jianshen won't respond to anyone else saying it. ~Veni, Nefretiri, Rosemary and anyone else older than him in his family have heard his original common name as he went by that for a very brief while when Veni was thinking of a new one. (Reserves the right to change her mind on whether if Veni came up with it before he was forced to take him "home.") Veni, Nefretiri, and possibly Rosemary are the only ones likely to remember it. Veni is likely the only one who knows the characters used for it. Jianshen also won't respond to anyone but Veni or Nefretiri calling him that in public, though he would respond to Rosemary if she said it privately. Veni is the only one who has says his old name anymore.

Name meaning: Jian shen is the sword blade. Ma means horse, as in horse stance. It is used genericly to mean any stance. Shen (by itself) means spirit. So his name means something like: sword blade stance.

He is actually fallen angel with black slightly ruffled feathers and lightly glowing eyes. Skills we know of: ethereal form that all angels have, he can reduce communication ability for angels inside an area to angels outside and god, dark aura that has many uses to him, make objects (such as a pen-like one) look like another object of the same type without using magic or much magic to do so (ex. blue pen to a red one), create things of equivalent mass and molecular composition, can tug on nearby hell chains, can craft tiny complex machines with ease, creates hell monsters through breeding and other means than magic. He has two types of dark aura. One is more ambient or passive in nature and is usually undetectable by most as it normally only works on people it can corrupt by emphasizing what is already there. Someone may get the feeling something is off, but not be able to put their finger on it. The other type is more active and can weaken lesser holy beings as it comes from hell. On himself he can use it to recharge his energy faster. Like an Elite's it is like a nearly infinite battery, but opposite in nature. His feathers can become razor sharp and he can use his wings as shields. His weapon of choice are wires which he manipulates their position and size on a molecular level by increasing their length while decreasing the thickness or increasing the thickness while decreasing their length.
Distant History: Lahash Naphula is as old as the first angels before the creation of the known universe and was present when the universe and anything in it was created. He loved and was awed by god's creation and it was eventually decided that he loved it too much; that he loved the creation more than the creator. He wondered and was awed by matter and the laws that governed it. He tinkered with it and loved to manipulate it. He did and still does like to do things just to see what would happen. He was very interested in the biology and biochemistry aspect of it. Some of his early tinkering would lead to species of hell demon including hell hounds.
General History: Able to take on any appearance he desires and has had countless incarnations and aliases in the universe throughout time. Thus what he looks like isn't as important as knowing that Lahash Naphula sees himself as masculine and will thus normally take on the form of a male. At various points in history he has helped increase sentient tool using species knowledge and science in some form.
Recent History: Lahash was there when Lucifer forced his way into heaven, no longer wanting to be in charge of a futile position, and desiring to be there once more. It involved an assault which resulted in casualties. Lucifer was removed from his position and reincarnated. As to where and whom no one knows. The other fallen angels did not receive a second chance like Lucifer, but instead was cast out of heaven and back to hell. Hell no longer had a ruler. Heegh had his chance and took over causing carnage in his wake. He imprisoned all of the fallen angels and tormented them for the sheer pleasure of it and because he thought brute force to be the way to beat them into submission. Anything he deemed too weak or to have no purpose was destroyed including several of Lahash’s creations. Lahash himself was often tormented by having things done to him in similar manners to what students did in biology classes to frogs. More details in this post.
Lahash had witnessed ‘rotten apples’ for angels in heaven or at least still permitted to be there in whose pride would have once been enough to have gotten them removed once before. He was disenchanted as he once believed that god was just and fair in the judgements, but he could not see how it was just for grace to be given to the original sinner but not to the other fallen angels who would have liked the same grace. He fell farther than he had before having a deeper hatred for god and Lucifer than he did of Heegh who wasted an eternity of his experiments in mere years. (Basically this is gathered from what I remember Bradley saying of a past event.)
Heegh eventually realized that his powers weren’t growing, but rather decreasing and found out that he needed the fallen angels to do their job: to corrupt people so that more souls would enter hell. Thus he set Lahash and a few others back unto the universe. Unlike Heegh, he realizes the efforts the satan makes for creational domination to be futile and that they will all be destroyed someday. Lucifer realized this and tried for heaven no longer wanting to be in charge of a losing battle and for some reason was given a second chance without really repenting what he did and was reborn, but he nor the others were not given the same treatment. So until the end he plans to take as many down with him as he can.
Current Incarnation: Duran is a vet whose prime pet is an intelligent GMO canine named Marcha. Salanio's, Nerissa, and Ophelia's mother was his last hell hound who died in childbirth whose name was Glasyalabolas (fallen angel in the form of a winged dog), but he called her Lassie in the physical realms while under his last alias/incarnation. He has a lab in some secret pocket dimension much like Jacob's prime residence.
Slightly before the events of Burning Lust, Duran had been mugged and abducted for a short time. As a result he saw a therapist due to professional advice to seem like a normal person taking steps to recover from trauma when in reality he didn't need to and had allowed the event to happen. He is now currently discharged or simply no longer seeing them. He also started going to Ma’s self-defense classes, but soon switched to the more serious long-term program.
He is currently in the lower rankings of the beginners, so he doesn’t interact with Ma Jianshen directly much. This whole multistage scenario was all by design since Lahash wasn’t traumatized, nor does he require any fighting lessons. Heegh seems interested in certain people and Ma is connected to those certain people and was the best one to keep an eye on without seeming suspicious. Really he’s only doing this to seem active enough to be left alone by Heegh as much as possible. He isn’t really interested in these people beyond that satan is as his goals are different. Currently his peaked interest in them now is because of the Hell Hounds. He’s the one that tipped the satan where Ma would be heading to for Christmas that year when Adira had escaped.
Current residence description: Lives in a house with a well fenced in half acre to acre yard. He has tools for tinkering, many dog beds around the house that smelt like his dog, one for him, presumably a guest bed, and an office with tax papers, books, science journals, limbo's equivalent of a newspaper, a screen, and other things. His room had a bed, clothes, models he built, its own small entertainment system among other things. The floors are mostly wood.
Character Quirks: Hygiene: When not in hell Durian prefers to shower every day. He likes them as hot as possible and can easily stand to only have the hot water knob on. He washes his hands frequently, but not OCD like. He wears deodorant, aftershave, and sometimes cologne. He brushes his hair at least once a day with a flat comb. He has perfect dental hygiene. He carries hand sanitizer and Chap Stick. Durian is hottest to the touch of the large humanoids.

More often expresses his frustrations. Likes: Blood candies Dislikes: Being over coddled by adults who know their age. Some of the limitations they've run into due to their physical age. Vampire Abilities: Basic; superhuman strength, speed, and senses, control with the eyes, walk through non-living objects, slight levitation, excellent wall climbers, mist form possibly.
Some Background History Dan and Daisy lack memories of ever being human. Whether this is due to being turned so young, their sire's doing, or the trauma of their sire's death, no one knows. The two of them were the newest of the bunch of children turned into vampires despite Nefretiri's warning. They were kept in the same room as BlackMN and on occasion unleashed on her when hungry in part for entertainment. They never really liked this because they didn't view the fox demon as that sort of toy and were sorry for it afterwards. However no lingering regret of the incident exists to this day because that memory is now fuzzy.
When Rosemary found them, they were behind bars, easily kept since they knew not of the skills that would set them free. She had just killed their father and they survived, but they were still rather shaken from the incident. When Rosemary approached the fox demon the kids thought it was to do her harm. Dan had yelled at Rosemary to "get away from her" while Daisy was pulling him away from the bars afraid of the older one. Even though he said this the two of them were hungry enough to go after Black for blood themselves. She brought them several rats before she released them and took the three of them home.
Dan and Daisy are equivalent to vampire niece an nephew to Veni. These two are rarely apart. They share the same room and choose to sleep in the same bed though they have separate ones. They are very possessive of each other and become quite jealous when one of them chooses to give someone else attention without them for too long. They might be a little more bold and carefree because Nefretiri herself rarely lifted a hand against them.
Unlike BlackMN these two spent most of their lives near Nefretiri, Veni, and the other vampires. They often would sneak away to visit BlackMN who was never really comfortable around the two due to their erratic nature. They liked to tease her some days, while others they acted like friends towards her and really wanted to play with her on swing sets and things.
Ma Jianshen has historically been often left with them to baby sit or make sure they don't do something too bad when he is around. It wasn't even Veni who started having him watch them in his free time, but Nefretiri. The real goal was to have someone older around to protect them, but at the same time he is somehow most able to get them to behave without doing anything.
When strange creatures attacked it was Ma who got to their room. The two of them weren't exactly huddled in a corner helpless, but were rather trying to rip the creature's throat out. They succeeded when Ma had sort of stunned it with his touch. Ma had seemed quite scary to them that night for never had they seen such a savage look in his eyes and determined movements. He was using all his abilities without restraint to get them out of there. So much usage of his touch skill he had not done before and he was pushing it to work faster than it normally could. When he got them out of the room, he headed towards Nefretiri's room but was ordered to get himself out of there. So he did with the twins.
After the incident when Daisy asked him why he had bothered to help them he explained that he came for them first, but not to the aid of others, because he had figured that the others were strong enough to get out themselves and that they would abandon the weakest ones; plus he was normally their guardian. And when prodded further why he would bother with the weakest and possibly most useless of the bunch, he answered because he never considered himself a strong goeng-si and near the bottom rank wise (within the family). To which Dan had called him an idiot for and that he was obviously stronger than the dead ones. Ma had merely smiled and said sometimes practice and skill beats strength. Though after this sentence his expression grew melancholic and the two of them fell into silence. After several minutes one of them asked if he regretted helping them. To which he gave them a very simmering displeased look (like the one in his profile) that warned them to back off and said no very firmly and that he would still have gone for them first because he cared.
After this incident they would spend more time with BlackMN and her new friends than they had in the past. They watched several of their companions form romantic relationships and felt particularly jealous of it. It was in part because they don't quite understand it, don't know how to have one, and their physical age is a major setback. Dan in particular felt rather bitter when BlackMN started going out with Galantros, but he wasn't sure why as he doesn't recognize that he has a crush on her.
A large man named Muerte found them some items from Limbo that allowed the two of them to take on more adult appearances for a short time. It somewhat unnerved the two to see themselves in adult bodies. They don't really use these that often. Tough truth be told the author hasn't gotten a chance to experiment with this much (since they were obtained soon before GamingLord's departure).
Character Quirks: Hygiene: Like children these two prefer to bathe as infrequent as possible. Daisy will clean herself up more frequently than Dan. She likes to splash herself with lilac or honeysuckle water or carry a little potpourri in a small satchel. Dan doesn't care about this as much. He's not picky on the type of shampoo he uses either. The two of them will often take a bath or shower together. However they do take them separately as well. Both are often forced to sing their ABCs while washing their hands. They also do things to take care of their breath.

She is skilled and smart, but her mentality is fourcefully kept young. “Back in the city a slumped over footless doll like person with the niearchim symbol over one of its closed eyes was picked up. One side of its face and body was that of a perfect porcelain doll while the other had the mark, a scar going back from it's mouth with stitch like markings, markings and symbols and jewels all embedded on the arm of that side. No doubt there was more underneath the small dress, nickers, and stockings she wore. The doll did not move when picked up. The one holding her had similar markings on it too.” (Unleased pg. 18 )
Living Dolls: Mindy can control creatures without much preparation especially experimental husks of a creature. For better control she prepares these by sharing some of her blood with it. She also will put the Niearcim mark on them though this doesn't improve her control.
Adur: The puppet body that Xun had suggested was vaguely humanoid, but looked to have been one of the taller than human fire "imps", the flame boosting markings clear all over it's body. They were known for being very potent with "holy" (hell) fire, and very quick...capable of engulfing their entire body in the stuff without consequence. However, this one seemed different than his usual kin. Definitely an experiment. It's claws looked stronger, and like they could extend to measured distances, allowing precise control of how long or short the claws could be. Something about muscular structure seemed highly enhanced, and upon looking closely, it had been imbued with special parasites that would increase it's skeletal and flesh strength, along with giving it rather good regenerative properties. Normally such parasites had a half chance of working, especially less if there were other imbuements on the creature, but this one seemed to take well.
Of interest finally, was the fact that it's jaws and forearms were replaced with those of another creature's that had many teeth and spines, oozing with some sort of acidic toxin. The toxins cause the victims to vomit and loose dehydration rapidly. Anyone close to the victim will also experience these effects as the toxin is air born from the host. The fire imp could strongly influence the motor functions of the main infected one now for a short time, while anything else infected indirectly from her poison spines would be under lesser and lesser control, the weaker and further the toxins spread. Xun explained that thanks to the regenerative magic worked on the being, it could use these parts much faster than normal to shoot out it's deadly injecting spines at a high rate of speed and for quite a far distance. This creature is also capable of handling her biomancy skills when she channels them into it.
The carrier: Not much has been said on this one except that it carries Mindy around.

Hair:Green and curves towards the front at about the ears. It is a little stiff. Eye color: Yellow Special features: Antennae whose primary function is to sense waves and motions; like large objects coming at her such as a hand trying to swat her, the Eco locating of other creatures such as a bat, and it also works on sensing spell casting. They also aid in her sense of smell, time, balance when flying, and direction much like a moth's or butterfly's. Long pointy ears. Six transparent glassy wings (that actually has some vein pattern going through them unlike in the picture). Glows when she flies. Her skin is tough and doesn't damage easily. Dress Type: She prefers nothing on, but as tall-ones insist she covers up with whatever she can find. Affiliation: protagonist trickster Education: Observation, she can read Major Areas of Knowledge: The Forest area near THoR Languages: English, unknown Hobbies: Going on Adventures Mentality: Stable Likes: Sweet foods including Kithos berries. Tall ones at THoR. Dislikes: Being grabbed by the wings or them being touched without her permission. Bitter foods. Personality: Carefree, curious, chipper, a little forgetful, easily forgets old wounds. Abilities: Able to spit a sticky substance that preserves things wrapped in it or in the case of living things stasis. Help plants grow and force plants to move especially willow trees. Communicate with most creatures. Create small barriers and with a bunch of other pixies a rather large one to protect their area of the forest. Put creatures to sleep. Other magical seeming abilities. Can't fly well when wings are wet (couple drops are fine).
History: While most of the pixies don't stray far from the forest simply because they can't or are afraid to, Willow visited the house near the edge of it. She is sort of an oddball being able to go where she wants for one reason or another. Soon after arriving at THoR she read either GL's or BlackMN's journal and found out about neat things like a place called Limbo. A bigger deal was made out of her finding out about a cool world than she felt was necessary and she couldn't fathom why another world's law would apply to her for reading about it.
After the forest was almost destroyed by demons, Willow spends most of her time at THoR. She often left messes when she got herself food, primarily honey, until someone gave her little cups. Someone also eventually gave her a birdhouse as her primary residence instead of the tissue boxes she stole borrowed. She normally hibernates in the winter, but since she likes Christmas and New Years at the house so much she tries to stay up for those. Every so many years she falls into a deep deathlike sleep for a couple years in which she wakes up from not remembering much.

Trivia: ~Willow was actually created before BlackMN for another RP that died soon after she was introduced. She is thus the longest somewhat active character of mine existing since 2001 or 2002. ~Early in THoR's creation other characters from her world would make cameos. ~She becomes more sinister as Samhain approaches (the day after Halloween) and acts like nothing happened afterwards
