Fushigi Yugi, anyone?

Me too! I've read all 18 manga... took me a while cause it takes me like 2 hours per manga... but anywhoo!

I'm now reading the perquel, Genbu Kaiden I have books 1, 2 and 5... needless to say, HUGE gap between books. Right now though, my local book store only has up to 5. I think they're still working on 6... I'm, not sure.

But neither series are easy to put down!! I LOVE them.

Fushigi is an awesome Manga but uber-expensive where i am so i had to settle for the Anime. Lucky for me it was just as good. The artwork is what attracted me the most.

There is a second series if i'm correct...ikoden(sp?) or something... I'm looking for it now.

Yes, it is a bit dragging. And Miaka's not exactly my heroine type, you know, the "damsel-in-distress" thingy doesn't appeal much to me. ^^
