To go along with new mammals, we have new aquatics. This article is a bit older but still deserves recognition. I am begining to think that when they say 'new' what they really mean is 'previously known of, but finally classified as something unique from what is already named.'

Anyway, here is the link.

I don't think we'll ever know entirely what lies beneath the surface of the sea.

Water just not being our element; that's hard enough. But considering how difficult it is to find, record and classify species in general already; that adds a whole new level. Anyway, we aren't even close to knowing every species on the planet. Insects come to mind; there're just too many, too small. You've got to give credit to those people who went out to undiscovered continents back in the day, and made the species known to the world.

Too bad some of us decided to introduce foreign species into our own countries. That sort of thing really screws up the food chain; I was doing an assignment of eucalypts and realised how much trouble they were causing the ecosystems in Brazil and California. All this time, I thought they'd been confined to Australia.

How many more do you think they'll find, or us for that matter.

Ah, no wonder why I feel very much familiar with them.
I've seen them even right in front of my eyes, even in my hand's reach.
All I still don't know is the Goblin Shark, I ever seen the head, but not its full body. Anyone has any sample of its full body?
