How old were you when you started collecting manga?

I was 4 when i got my first volume of DBZ. Then I started again when i was 11. Now ive got 89 volumes at 12. theres only one explanation....CRACK! How bout you?

I was 14 when i got my first manga it was the Sailor moon manga a friend gave it to me to read and then i was hooked. and now i have over a 100 manga's i think i packed mine all up cause i'm moving but i filled a 24X24X30 box full of manga and then another one the same size with the rest that hadn't gotten packed.

I was between the ages of 14 and 16, I'm not exactly sure when I started collecting. All I know is that my collection is large and in charge... of my life xd

I think i was about 16 or 17, My sister had been trying to get me to read more (she loves all forms of the written word).

My mother, sister and I were at the bookstore (they both love books), I was bored so I went wandering around, I just happened to see the manga section and found my first manga (I honestly can't remember which one it was) since then my sister and I have collected hundreds of volumes, not including her regular books.

I have Have quite a few in my own collection (collected over the past 2 years since I moved out) and recently my boyfriend has shown an interest in trying to get into reading.

To anyone who thinks they got into manga "late" or when they were "to old" my boyfriend is about to turn 21, My mother started getting into it a bit and she's no spring chicken (age wise lol).

You are never to old to get into manga, in fact I think its better to start later because you can get into the more mature manga right when you start.
