Ok just think about it...
When you eat chicken, lamb, fish, ect. Do you ever stop to think that it was once alive? Once had hair or feathers.
It puts me off, but i still eat it. Funny enough ive got a friend who always reminds me before i eat. Its sorta weird for me, but i love chicken!

That's why I'm vegetarian. I look at my little dog, my cat...my birds, and I could not eat them. So, I don't eat any animals. Animals have the same feelings as us. Scientific studies show eating meat is not healthy and causes disease. It is also not economical and consumes resource. Plus, the animals are pumped full of hormones and antibiotics and fed a diet of diseased dead animal parts. Eew! Does mad cow ring a bell? And if you believe in the law of karma, everything you do will come back to you. I don't want to cause unnecessary pain when there are so many delicious vegetarian dishes to choose from. I understand why people eat meat. It tastes good and is habitual. Society does it. Imitation meat(soy products...etc.) tastes good too and at the end of a meal when the plate is empty you are left with a clear conscience.

It's why I want to be vegetarian, but, because of my grandmother's nature and thoughts on it, I won't be one until I'm out of this house. In the meantime, I eat things I don't really want and suffer from "chicken fatigue" (because I keep pork to a minimum, don't eat much beef often, and don't eat any meat other than those, chicken, and turkey, which I'm also sick of).

To come to think of it, I really dont. I just shove it down my throat & its all gooood. But once I looked at it real close & I say tiny hairs on a chicken wing. I was like eek & then I got all weird eating it & then it was back to normal. rofl

Never, if God wanted us to eat grass, he would make us used for it, says my mum. biggrin I love meat, I eat meat and rather do not care what the hell was the animal doing before. 3nodding

I'm with Verudellita. My dad uses a phrase "If God didn't want us to eat cows, he wouldn't have made them out of meat." As for the torture of other animals, I'm not the one torturing them to death, so it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah, I think about it. But the taste overpowers any "bad" feelings I might have. Hell, I didn't kill the cow, I can eat the burger just fine.
