Chapter 3-A, Walking Into A New Home
They all looked at her, puzzled, how could she offer such thing? Specially that there were so many people wondering around, looking at them, so they thought as they looked at each other. They thought "what if she's like the professor? All nice at start but then not?". But they had no choice but to hope for the best, after all, they needed a place to stay, or if the Prof. found them, they'd be more than in deep trouble. They kept thinking, if they stood there, they'd had nothing to do, no one to talk to and they unbearable thing of everyone looking at them as if they were from another world. So they had no other choice but to accept the kind offering and still hope for the best.
Rhyokyo stood up and looked at his "sisters" as they nodded, telling him and agreeing to accept the kind offering.
Rhyokyo- Ah... -he expressed scratching his head- Thanks for the kind offer, we accept it... not that we have another choice -he said chuckling-.
Miriam- Ah, Im glad you accepted -she said smiling with such grace as her little daughter came back to her after chasing a few butterflies- ah, this is my little daughter Lily -she said looking at her-.
The little child, Lily, only was three foot and a half tall, her age was 5, clearly perfect for her age. Lily looked at them as she thought many things. Xion was concerned at how she looked at them, she thought she'd make fun of them, but she was wrong as Lily opened her mouth with a cute and innocent expression on her face.
Lily- You look funny -she said smiling as she saw Xion and Jixian frown a bit- but I like you -she said smiling as both Xion and Jixian were surprised-.
Both Xion and Jixian smiled at Lily. They both stood up as well as Miriam turned the other way, picking up her things she had bought there. They followed her, Rhyokyo looked at Miriam struggle with the groceries.
Rhyokyo- May I help you? -he said with hospitality and smiling, offering his hand-.
Miriam looked at him and smiled back, giving him most of the groceries, all he could carry and thanking him.
They began to walk out of the town, they had to walk a bit far but not so far at the same time. As they walked through they saw a few things they wondered about, they saw butterflies, beautiful flowers, and many other things they questioned themselves about but they didn't dare to ask because of the mere fact that they thought that if they asked so many obvious questions, that Miriam would think that they weren't even human or so. They didn't want that to happen. They kept walking and they saw so many other things, they weren't far from getting there now, Miriam looked at them stopping, they stopped as well.
Miriam- are you tired? -she said taking a deep breath-.
They shook their heads saying a no, because the Prof. made them more exhausted than a mere walk. She smiled and continued walking, they followed her. After a quite long walk, they walked upon a semi-high hill, and from the top of it, they saw a house, a two story house, quite big, made of pure wood, painted beautifully in pastel colors. Rhyokyo, Xion and Jixian smiled as they thought that it was finally a new beginning for them, a new hope, finally, a new home. They walked down the hill, getting closer to their new hope, to their new life. Both Miriam and Lily gasped and smiled, they were sure glad to return to their sweet home, specially bringing new lives to share times with. They finally got to the home, Miriam opened the front door, Lily walking first, opening her little mouth, glad to call someone's name.
Lily- Kris!!! We're home! -she yelled loudly and gladly-.
Chapter 3-B, Familiar Faces (Where is Jixian???)
Kris... that name seemed so familiar to them as if it was a long seemingly distant dream... or a forsaken, forgotten memory. Xion and Rhyokyo looked at each other, while Jixian smiled, but she knew she had to pretend so both of them wouldn't find out. Lily in the other hand, ran up to those stairs, Miriam took the things Rhyokyo was carrying, taking them to the kitchen, as he and Xion stared at their surroundings. As is everything they saw was a living dream, cushioned furniture, big space, no chains, no dust, just perfect for them to start their new life. Miriam, after placing everything in its rightful place, came back into the living room, she saw them a bit surprised and puzzled.
Miriam- I hope you find it here comfortable -she said while smiling and offering them to take a seat-.
Rhyokyo- Ma'am... it's more than we could ever thank, how could we repay you for such gratitude -he expressed looking at her-.
Miriam- Naw -she chuckled- you don't have to repay anything, it's my pleasure to have you in my humble home, I hope its everything you were looking for -she said, for a moment stared at them- Gosh... you must be starving -she said while standing up-.
Xion- well... -she expressed while both of their stomachs growled of hunger- we can't cay no... -she said scratching her head lightly as she watched Miriam going to the kitchen-.
A few seconds passed and then they looked around, Jixian wasn't there.
Xion- Where is Jixian? -she asked looking around-.
Rhyokyo- perhaps she wandered off with Lily upstairs -he said while standing up- stay here, Ill look for her -he said walking slowly upstairs-.
Xion- Kay! -she expressed then she laid as comfortable as she could on the couch or sofa -as if I would go somewhere else in this dreamland -she murmured as she chuckled slightly-.
Rhyokyo walked slowly upstairs, just in case Jixian wouldn't jump on him by surprise or so. In between steps he made, he called her name but she didn't seemed to respond. He finally for to the second floor, he walked slower as he peeked in every room, seeing if she was hiding somewhere. Then all of a sudden he heard a laughter, little girls laughter, he looked everywhere.
Rhyokyo- Im going to get you Jixie -he said smiling and laughing softly as he walked into a room by mistake, and wasn't looking forward-.
Then, as if a bullet struck him by surprise, he looked forward, and saw a figure sitting next to the window, the person was clearly contemplating the skies view, she sighted slightly and slowly moved her head, as she instantly saw him, she stood up rapidly. He was amazed, seems to be impressed by her beauty, her blue long hair and blue pair of eyes, quite long normal colored fox ears and cute doll ears, as he blinked his blue eyes a few times, he could swore he had seen her before, but couldn't recall who exactly nor where they had met. She saw he was of no harm and smiled softly to him. He was still motionless as he saw her smile, he snapped in a second and began to scratch his head.
Rhyokyo- Ah... Im sorry ma'am... -he exclaimed as he slowly took some steps backwards, seeing her approach to him-.
Kris seemed to stop as she saw he was backing up.
Kris- oh... it's quite alright -she said giving a glad smile- you must be one of the people who are going to stay here with us, am I correct? -she said while sitting down in the chair she was using to stare out of the window-.
Rhyokyo saw that she wasn't going to do anything but just perhaps ask a few questions, after all, she seemed to be harmless. He once again entered the room, shyly, he sat on her bed.
Rhyokyo- Well... yes... -he answered as he looked down, blushing-.
Kris- Ah, glad, its been lonely and boring around here lately, I'm glad you decided to join us -she expressed- And... why are you looking down? Are you sad? -she questioned-.
Rhyokyo- Oh no... -he looked at her, but he was kind of afraid to, he was shy full but he managed- Have you seen my little sister? Her name is Jixian... and I believe she's with Lily... -he said looking at her, as if when he stopped talking, he got lost in her eyes-.
Kris- ah yes, they were here, they're playing, Lily has been lonesome after... a quite the loss -she said kindly but then looking somewhat sad-.
Chapter 3-C, Found Her!... Intro's?
Rhyokyo seemed puzzled, 'why did her mood change in a swing?' he asked himself as he stared at her, he saw a tear drop reach the wood floor, he tilted his head slightly, wondering what could be it. But Kris looked to him, and then smiled.
Kris- Sorry... a little flashback came to me... -she explained-.
Rhyokyo- Flashback?... -he questioned-.
Kris- Um... You don't know what a flashback is? -she asked, confused-.
Rhyokyo- Im sorry but no... never heard that word before -he said, he felt stupid and numb, but he couldn't tell her why-.
Kris smiled, as she tried to find the perfect words to explain to him what a flashback meant.
Kris- A flashback is when you recall something, or remember something all of a sudden, as if a lost memory came back to you or as if an event reminded you of someone or something, and that memory means so much to you, you hold it dear and cherish it -she gladly explained-.
Rhyokyo nodded slightly, he understood every word she said, as he saw her smile, he didn't felt numb anymore, but he couldn't still explain the why he was asking.
Rhyokyo- so... where are the girls? -he asked-.
Kris- they must be in one of these rooms or probably outside playing with Lily, I'll gladly help you find her -she said smiling and standing up-.
Rhyokyo- Thanks, I really appreciate it -he said nodding slightly and standing up as well-.
They both looked into every room, but they were empty, he couldn't explain himself, he heard them laugh, but he was so confused. Kris looked outside the window, she couldn't see them as well. They both went downstairs and out, just to find them playing hide and seek, they were just having fun, they were laughing, Kris and Rhyokyo were just glad they found them and not harmed. They smiled at each other and then blushed instantly, then they heard Miriam shout 'the food is ready'. That was like the call of heaven to them, the little girls ran inside, as Rhyokyo walked slowly with Kris, they both were looking at each other and occasionally laughing, but then Kris stood to stare at the sky once more, it was sundown, Rhyokyo placed his hand on her shoulder, he didn't knew why she might have been sad, but he knew it'd comfort her. She smiled at him, as they slowly walked inside the house, to eat of course. As they sat, Miriam served, they gave thanks for the dinner and began to eat, after that, everyone just showered, Kris was always last, so she decided to go outside to stare at the moon. She walked until she saw the perfect moon light, therefor, she sat there, staring at its white beauty, as she replied 'Full Moon again' , smiling at it. Rhyokyo, after his long, relaxing shower, asked for Kris, then he looked out by the window and saw her, he decided to make her some company, he went outside and slowly approached her.
Kris- Ah... thanks for making me company... -she said looking at him with the tip of her eye-.
Rhyokyo- Ah... my pleasure -he said smiling and sitting next to her- Oh... foolish of me, I never introduced my self, my name is Rhyokyo -he said looking at her-.
Kris- ah, nice to meet you Rhyokyo, my name is Kris -she said while staring at the moon-.
