heart I have 13 songs now.
heart Just listening to other music can help me make my own music. I'm listening to hip hop when I was visiting someone's profile and it made me think of a song of my own. I also have written songs from both Avril and Alanis, like a mix, but it's of my own words and feelings. It's really awesome how that happens.
I noticed that when you record yourself, you want to get yourself in a good mood, cause your mood really does show in your music, if you are creating an upbeat song. And your moods reflect your music. It's like woah, it doesn't take much, to show through the song. So if your not feeling like playing, you have to think about something that makes you want to play, so that people will want to hear your music, that way they will feel like listening and or watching.
Tip #2 : The more you play, the more comfortable you are with your guitar, the more serious you start to take your music. You are learning. The more interested you are in it. As long as you keep improving, you'll keep practicing. I know when I wasn't, that was when I quit. But now I'm hooked.
And the goal thing, is helping me out alot too, rather then just being random.
But I don't mind being random, when I'm just taking a break.
I noticed that, music should just come naturally, not to say you have to have naturual talent, but you should practice it as if it was a part of your work out routine. When you go work out, you don't sit there and be like, I wanna get skinny within the next week, some people do, but I don't. I work out b/c of my heart problems and it makes me healthier b/c without that, I don't think my body could breath. Anyways, yeah, I used to think that it was soooo cool when i learned one song and been like, om gosh I learned a song, but that's only the tip of an ice burg. If you want to play music, it takes a life time to learn. And I think that I will always be learning Music theory, cause there's so much out there, you can never say that you studied it all. Compare it to something you do naturally without thinking about it. You just do. Like brushing your teeth for example. It's a long journey, but it's one I want to take.
And that tells me, that, when that guy or girl w/e told me off like she knew everything, then that means, she really didn't, because a professional would have understood that, I'm just new . No point in acting like mr know it all. When your talking to a newbie. B/c you already know it all. It wouldn't make any since and be utterly pointless. So, that tells me, he/she was making a big deal for no reason at all. I think he/she just didn't like newbies. But that doesn't stop me from posting on the boards.
I've currently been listening to Avril Lavinge. Hanson , And Alanis Morrissett. I forgot how much I love listening to that cd. I grew up listening to Alanis, esp when I was in High school. & Now I'm listening to the cd again. Doesn't it creep you out that it puts me to sleep? hahaha.
