It was a dark and stormy night and I was looking out of the hospital window. The room was empty. It was storming outside, just the way it was 4 weeks ago. My waist down was now paralized. I continued to start out of the window, remember what had happened....
It was gray outside, about to rain. Me and two other of my friends were walking down the path we always took home. In a coupel minutes me and one of my friends, Amanda, would take the shortcut through the small woods, while my other friend, Stella, continued down the path to her house. Behore we turned to leave Stella asked "Do you guys want to come over at my house and hang out for a while?" Amanda and I both said no, we had homework and my dad would be leaving as soon as I got home for a business trip for three weeks. Me and Amanda turned, waved good-bye to Stella, then walked down the path we always took. It had started to drizzle, more and more rain droplets falling faster and faster. We ignored the rain, it had been rainibng alot, but the trees served as a protection from the rain. In a matter of minutes, it started pouring down rain and thundering. We started to increase our speed. Soon, we were running. There was a blinding light and then thunder. I heard something falling, but couldn't really see through the rain. We didn't stop. But only about two seconds later I heard a loud screaming, coming for beside me. it was Amanda. At first I didn't understand, but then I felt pain rush into my body and I realized I was laying on the ground, something big on top of me. I slowly and painfully turned my head, Amanda was laying on the ground, her eyes closed and skin ghost white. I couldn't move anymore, the pain was spread all throughout my body, but i felt tears dripping down from my face. Everything was going blurry and I couldn't see right. I remember I was thinking how close I was to home. If we had started running faster we wouldn't be in this mess. I remember hearing people talking, but I don't know what they said. Then, I fainted.
Eight days later, I wake up, finding myself in a hopsital bed, my mom and dad bairly awake. I moaned quietly and my mom jumped up, rushing to my side. She hugged me, told me she was worried, then her smile fell into a sad frown. I looked at her puzzled, everything was coming back now. The storm, the tree, Amanda, and unfinished math homework. "W-where's Amanda?" I asked her, tring to sit up unseccifuly. "Maddie..." My mom only called me that when she had bad news. What was going on? "Amandra died" she said.I felt more hot tears streaming down my face. My best friend...dead? I didn't say anything else. and now, 4 weeks later from the accident, I still blame myself, and I haven't talking to anyone. Not even Stella. I just sit on the hospital bed, my legs paralized, unable to move, and now full of depression.
THE END!
((Note--this did not really happen))
