I'm always aware of his presence.
When he enters a room, it seems to shrink.
He knows of my feelings, but continues to ignore them.

Or are his actions not in check?
Does he not realize what a simple touch does to me?
the blush begins to burn my cheeks.
A smile tugs at the corners of my mouth.
Am I being punished?
Why am I cursed with such strong feelings?
I promised to protect my heart, but I have failed.
Does he know I've already given what's left of my battered heart to him?
I beg for release from my dead end love.
